Everybody must be blinded by the beauty of this "murdercase" that noone sees it has the fuZion mounted upside down.
Other than that, it's a frikkin piece of art. :up:
that is the sexiest thing i have ever seen, minus that 680i board.
I like that faceplate.
Just awesome SiNiSon! :up: :eek:
sinison that looks absolutely amazing. and ontop of that, u deff no how to take some photos!!
bookmarked your pics man, that is :banana::banana::banana::banana:ign AWESOME!!!
yeah man is that photoshopped??
How long did it take to make the murderbox? You should sell those cases, they are beautiful.
I'm most interested in that panel you've got going there - what's the make and what can it do?
:shocked: Is there any more info on the Murderbox? Is it a custom case? Or a Lian-Li mod? Anything? I'm dying in my own dr00l man! :D
That is correct.... hand sleeved.
We are working on some more pics (dark ones to show the UV) and the website will go up soon.. there is no photoshop work outside of cleaning noise and color correction. The picture are just taken with a Nikon d70s with a 28mm lens and one soft light.. the computer sits on a table with a seamless back taped to the wall... thats what makes it look so clean.. its just a very nice piece of wallpaper really :)
We basically wanted to take what is a great very high-quality stock case and make is something unique and special. There are a lot of small details that I knew only this community could appreciate or even see. I have been a long time lurker and as someone who has taken a lot of great tips from this forum I was excited to show the finished product off before the site and public get to see them.
There is quite a bit of custom fab work the for the front plate and so on (the top little round detail at the top of the front plate acts as a touch button to open the CD tray)
Hard drive cooling... there are 3 drives mounted vertically under the DVD with a low speed 120mm fan on top.. there is one 120mm fan in the top grate we have done everything to kill the machine while keeping it as quiet as possible under extreme loads. We have had no issues with flow rates or temps with the loop configured like this.
The screen is a Matrix Orbital USB item. We have it set up to rotate thru system vitals (FPS, all temps for CPU,GPU,Disks etc.. drive usage,Clock speeds)
http://www.matrixorbital.com/
Currently it has a 6600@3.2 and a 8800 Ultra OC'd a bit. (praying for an Extreme price drop soon :) )
The case can be configured with the MB on either side depending one how you like it, I prefer this way as its unique and opens the case up quite alot visually.. (the flipped is the much more difficult configuration :eek: )
Assembly is not that bad, the hardest part is being methodical and slow with all the anodized items. The R&D to get this case from stock to this has been a long and grueling process.. the rigs eventually will be built for some locals here basically as custom built top of the line type rigs.. its the start of a small business for a friend and me, and we have put a great deal of time and effort into it to get it to this point..
Oh and in the shot of the Matrix screen you can spot some of the lighting.. the case has full UV lighting but its all pretty hidden..
I think every case in the post is great.. modding is a very fun and personal thing.. there are some pretty crazy and great rigs here..
@sinison
what coolant are you using?
Great Post!
That's exactly what I was curious about. Man you slipped that UV lighting right past me...I still don't see it: WIZARDRY! And the HDD Cooling: Brilliant
Thanks for confirming the display..I thought it might have been a Matrix...
Again: impressed me immensely.
I must step up my game!
I checked the matrixorb website, and I definately want one of those, but can you tell me which vfd/lcd you have? and is it as simple as just plug the usb?
Or do you have to solder stuff? Does it comes with software for the lcd or are there software apps on the i-net you used?
I really like to know all about those lcd's!
Can you send me a pm or something?
Thanks in advance KING/GENERAL/MASTER Sinison :)
@dnb#
hey mate, how are you? you know im having a hard time getting the Tec Protect UV Blue from USA, any other options? would you help me get one? i can send money for you to buy me one including the shipping... i really want to have one... Thanks
Look like a http://www.matrixorbital.com/product...character-vfds for me but with a different color (I was unable to find the right colored one on the site). It plug with a usb cable and you control it via software (LCDC I think).
It's pretty easy to setup :)
Hi there, I actually cheated sort of... used food colouring coz i just couldnt find a red dye. Tried dtek uv fire red and it turned pink on me.
Was contemplating using fluid xp blood red but apparently it leaves solid residue and costs £27.99 here in UK :shocked:.
I know food dye will possibly leave residue but at least I only paid 22p for it!!
I think someone mentioned that all dyes will become soild after a while, (Might have been Marci from my recollection) please correct me if Im wrong
i think i'm going to stop by and pick up a pack of KoolAid... :D
A shot from the back... ill post more after we do the UV shots..
good god. The rear is cleaner then most of normals cases front side.
SiNiSon,
I am speechless :clap::clap::clap:
SINISON
truly anal attention to detail :bows:
I've made a wallpaper of the Murderbox, I was a bit bored and I thought the most beautiful pc of the world must have an wallpaper ;)
it's nothing special, just a 2 minutes job in photoshop!
I think it's beautiful as a desktop.
HERE IT IS: http://aycu09.webshots.com/image/221...2127425_rs.jpg
@sinison
hey mate, what uv coolant are you using? Thanks...
i love dnb#'s Coolant same as yours...
Thanks!
Very impressive attention to detail SiNiSon, I've never seen such a clean build. Is there a worklog anywhere?
I'm speechless, Sinison... makes my build look like a pile of sh1t.
Beautiful build there Sinison, did it take much effort changing the mobo orientation?
What type of sleeving is being used? I may attempt to do such a clean sleeving job with my own cables after seeing the beauty of your work, haha.
Performance PCs has all the different sleevings imaginable.
sinison what mode on your camera do you you use to take such great pics?
I would say he used just manual settings. ;)
An older picture of my system, with some intel hardware -

Sinison, what method did you use to achieve the perfect matt black finish to the case chassis.
Now definately going to paint the "adapter-hold-down" bracket of my Swiftech GTX black. I was thinking about that a few weeks ago, but now I'm sure. It'll look great with the copper top Welshtom sent me :)
Well, I actually meant from SiNiSon's initial posting of his rig. There have been a few poor souls (and rigs) that have posted since. They are cuke2u, Patriote, ka lok, and funkflix. Let us now bow our heads for a moment of silence to remember these individuals....OK, everyone back to praising SiNiSon's rig. :yepp: I think it'll be another few pages before we get over it enough to actually see the other rigs being posted.
i saw it, looked nice.
i liked it VERY much :up:
can we have some more?
:yepp:

I'm looking at sinisons pics for about 2 days now and still can't get enough taking a look. I'm really busy @ work at the moment but this has priority number one :D

But if You live in UK then go to CPC and and this is a item nr. CB100017
I know coz i have done it myself 2 weeks ago
Just posting a PC that I took photo's of when I was at an event called i32 in England, Newbury

@haggard
i thought it was PATRIOTE's Rig! Looks so similar...
Yeh lol ^^
HaGGaRd
just a couple of questions
1. Where did you pick up the lcds and for how much
2. What do the lcds display
BTW its a nice looking rig in the wake of sinson's monster work of art well done:up: :up: :clap: :clap:
They are Thermaltake Retractable 7" screens for 5.25" drive bays. You can buy them at: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...4211&CatId=340.
Its possible since 7" is a diagonal measurement.
I am in process of cleaning up some old posts in here that has dead links, etc and useless and eyesore now. It will take some time to get through but just wanted to let you guys know. I think I worked on first 15 pages of it last night -_-;
Okay, managed to get through and there were about 8 pages of junk total. Not bad but it would be advisable to use reputable server for hosting image for sticky materials...
All the oldies with broken links are getting moved to:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...t=gallery+junk
Those stupid LCD's are originally meant for the Mozart TX cases which actually (from my understanding) have 7" bays but have a converter that makes mounting 5.25 possible in them. IIRC, that's also the same size as North American car radios.
Seeing that is a custom MM, a 7" bay (or two) wouldn't have been that much of a problem to put in the case.
yes it wouldnt be hard but at 300$ a piece not a cheap solution to whateva your requirements are
Guys, remember monitors are measured diagonally. Using fancy math; a 7" screen in a 5.25" bay would be ~4" high (3.99).
I'm not doubting you Stijndp, just letting people know it's possible to get a near 7" screen in a 5.25 bay. Also if you look closely at the case, the bays for the LCDs are wider. At least it seems that way.
Yeah the LCD displays are bigger than 5.25"s, they custom cut the bays to a bigger size to fit the screens into place. And to answer the question on what they are used for they used them as a second/third monitor...
:D
That case should get a prize for Overkill-Bling.
Lol! My portable dvd-player with two 7" LCD screens is cheaper.
Yes, a 265 CFM fan ;)
lol. wonder if i could use that to slice and dice things when cooking.
"...but that's not all... if you call now..."
where did you get such an insane fan from?
Not the best of cable management, but their is hardly any room in the case, hopefully new Lian Li server Case after Xmas.
