I have never come across/cannot remember any recommendation regarding TCCD in the yellow slots suio, I have only ever used the orange but only had this board/cpu for ~ a week but using 704-3 with my 3200EL Plat Rev 2 TCCD is going well
Please keep ppl updated re the yellow slots and keep asking questions, then we ALL learn :)
WOW! Using 704-2 right now, and it is much more stable than 510-3. I've been dual Priming my 4400+ @ 2.7GHz for the last 13 hours with LargeFFTs, something it hasn't done up to this point (it could dual Prime with SmallFFTs only with 510-3).
Patriot TCCD @ 2.5-4-3-7-10-16 (the same settings listed by XiN).

By Andy of OCZ Technologies. They test memory chips for living. There must be enough cases to support his recommendation. I have found other posts at ocz support forum regarding using TCCD in yellow slots and they tend to get better results.Quote:

yeh i see your point but i practically test memory for a living with having 5gb here now and had much more in the past. if you goto mushkins website, they recommend the yellow slots too. Tom from mushkin posted a few times to use yellow as they are supposed to be faster. i have tested the f*ck outta it and with EVERY set of ram i have EVER tested, my board/cpus like orange better no mater what. its what works for you man. trust me PLEASE! if everyone could buy some xp4000 ram and punch in the settings and stuff that one person posted that got 275mhz on, and everyone could do the exact same stuff and get 275mhz, what would the fun and market of overclocking be? :slap:Quote:

The bios may have chance to set wrong vcore voltage under certain circumstances ...
If the cpu can not handle the wrong core voltage , it may be damaged ..
This problem has only been found in 7/04 bios and 'Above VID * 123%' , 'Above VID * 126%' , 'Above VID * 133%' , 'Above VID * 136%' are used ... If you did not use the 4 settings , it will be ok you if still want to use 7/04 bios ...

Wow.. Ive been using 704-2 for a while with 1.325+126% with no problems.. But im gona flash back to 510-2 to be safe.. Thanks for the heads up people..
I tried this bios for 10 mints and reflashed to 618-2. With this version I had a cold boot and 3 of my 4 Value VX sticks didn't post either alone or in dual channel. A total buguz for me.

Has any bios subsequent to 704 come out recently? I'm loving 704-3. It allows these 2x1GB Ballistix to run at 280 Mhz 3-3-3-8-1T at 2.67V and 290 Mhz ast 2.77V without having to wade through a myriad of bios memory timings experimentation.
