My friend has Kingston PC2700 BH-6 memory stick and mobo always uses 5:4 divider even if max memory clock is 200MHz :stick:

That's the only known way around it AFAIK... Gotta have the connections though...
That´s bad :(
So no MSI for me then because I also have 2*512 KHX PC3000 sticks.
Thx from the fast reply :toast:

Other than taking away some of the volatge options, the 1.37 over 1.36 only seems to fix the freeze problem when changing the LTT in bios. But I'm sticking with 1.36. Maybe someone can mod 1.37 to enable all the voltage options again.
What freezing prob when changeing the ht ??? I'm useing 136 now, and havent had anytrouble with it.
Some people have found the boards hangs when using the sub menu when changing settings in the BIOS.
Best to use the + and - keys.
At least, I think thats what he is referring to.
which options have been lowered exactly? and to which values?Quote:

Hi everyone!...
I got my MSI Neo2 Platinum, running fine. But, I've a strange cold power on.
When I want to switch on the system, (PSU power on) my Motherboard power on the FANs from CPU and... the VidCard FAN. System don't power on until I push the power switch case on.
wierd isn't it?
:-?
How can fix it?
dunno wolf, thats weird.
i have a question for everyone with the board.
at what cpu temperature do you start to see instability?
i see it at 60c + using the core cell program.
I have seen a person with this problem (more than one in fact)Quote:

False Start For Me As Well !!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello,
I've just bought and tried 3 different Antec Neopower power supplies on my MSI Neo2 Platinum motherboard (AMD Nforce3, socket 939) and I still experience the same problem :
Everytime I switch on my computer I hear the fans working, the disks starting but the power led remains off and if I do nothing the screen remains black. I have to hit the power button one more time in order to startup my computer. I do not have this problem when I restart the computer from windows. Moreover I could see that when I unplug the power connectors of my 2 raptors I do not have the problem, the system is starting the first time I switch it on (I tried different cables of course). I also removed the power supply from the case but it's still the same.
Precision : I NEVER had this kind of problem with my former Tagan 480W.
As I already tried with 3 different Neopower power supplies I now ask you for help. Please try to answer me as soon as possible.
So try it with the min amout of stuff connected, and if it fixes the problem it may well be ya PSU.
Seen others have similar with PS2 stuff, so try booting it without.

1.85 in the bios using 1.36b or 1.85 in windows using core center. This is with a 90nm cpu w/1.4v default. I'm not sure if a clawhammer or newcastle will have a higher option.
Primed 300X8 for 15 minutes. Didn't want to run it longer because I don't want to sacrifice my Folding production. LOLQuote:
