I don't see why the two brands cant exist separately as they have in the past 4 years.
How many people here know that both Dove products and the Axe brand are the same company?
Yes, that's right. The same company that promotes a woman's self image and being comfortable with yourself, with commercials like the one below, is also promoting a deodorant that will have horny college chicks on your vain ass.

Here is my point:
Consumer sentiment generally relates AMD to being a cheaper alternative to Intel. Basically, they are a no frills bargain brand.
ATI should stay separate and leverage its spot as "The producer of the fastest graphics card" to gain sales an attention.
Look at this fellas:

wow i did not know that, but i bet theres a website dedicated to the boycotting of dove products simply because they also make axe. alot of my female friends love to complain about those commercials, i do find them funny and excessive. o and 90% of axe i cant stand the smell of, random note.
maybe the ability to build really good quality of 1 product, outweighs having to be well rounded in both? which applies much more to a small company or single person than something as large as dell. i cant even keep up with all the different sockets, cpu names and specs, preferred memory settings, etc, that have to be understood to make a decent decision when building something for someone else. i spend a few hours picking out parts for my own pc, if i had to do that for someone else, it would be too expensive, or i would have to be extremely knowledgeable to keep my time costs down.
