Yeah... this sucks if it's true. Looked like a VERY good board, really wanted it. I guess I have to stick with the M3H5 then:shakes:
is there any improvement if i upograde to this mobo?
also can this mobo unlock my X550BE and which bios should i use?
nope. i think chance is some UT comes with the new 890 chipset...
Well that is disappointing, thanks for the look at the production model that never will be. It was my dream come true. I was really hoping for the UT to surface and now I will have to wait impatiently I must say for the possibility of the RD890 branding the UT.
I would buy the production model if they would sell it to me, I really think DFI has a great product here. My UT 790FX-M2R already went to my 12 yr old daughter and she is quite happy gaming on it as I was.
Thanks for the info.
yeah we all were waiting and if DFI still reads this, they should know that there are people that wanted it badly^^
If DFI doesn't release this board then I'm going with either an MSI or Gigabyte board. Don't really have a choice... Sad, I love DFI's color scheme, and their boards. Hopefully they read this and decide to go ahead and release it!
I'd KILL for one of these boards:(
You know I just reinstalled the 790FX M2R with 8GB LV1066 and a 955 with 4Xvertex in raid 0...raid is the only weak point BUT the rest in incredible.
955@ 3.6GHZ 1.28V (yes under volted)
955 NB at 2.6GHZ 1.20V
8GB LV1066 Blade at 1066 1.7V
All other voltages at stock or below the defaults in bios.
I get the best CPU clocks using this board, I am seriously considering one of the new LSI 8 port SAS raid cards and pushing 8 drives raid 0 for my next work station.
I begged DFI to add SB750 to this board and release it....it for me was just waiting for good CPU's which we have now...seems my suggestion was ignored :(
We are all waiting for that killer UT board to come...issue is MSI have the GD70 and Asus Crosshair 3 and they are just as good and taking UT sales away from DFI.
I'd kill myself if I bought another useless ASUS board. No idea what BIOS issues you're talking about TBH. Can't remember experiencing any on DFi SLI-DR non-Expert, SLI-DR Expert, SLI-DR Venus, UT 250gb NF3, X48-T2RS, P45-T2RS, NF590-M2R/G, 790FX-M2R - and I have a feeling I'm forgetting a board or two here. On the other hand, none of my ASUS boards behave very well... (Crosshair I and M4A79 Deluxe).
I thought the GD70 wasn't as good as it looks, so to speak. I know the Crosshair 3 is pretty nice, but the UT board has more slots and won't OC any worse so I would definately think there is a market for it.
Here you can find my opinion.
GD70 is fine but its picky for DDR3, you have to run the newer LV kits to get the best from it and Hyper is best but most expensive.
M2R still rocks along for me, all its missing is the 6sata ports and the enhancements sb750 brought in...and for now ddr2 is still a better buy overall.
I love both...the M2R though just clocks the cpu that little bit better with lower vcore, so has an edge for me
I think that M3eH7 is useless because M5H3 is out now(can anyone tell us the real differences ???)..i think DFI should wait and release a board with Sata 3 instead...
difference is dual lan, firewire, ez clear and 7+1 digital vr along with a straight-forward cooling solution.
i have both boards and of course m3h5 is really great, clocks equal and even has the more accurate voltages, but ez clear alone makes up for the m3eh7. Its an UT basically. And dual LAN/firewire is nice to have sometimes too.
DK is DK after all, very very nice and valuable boards, but it's no UT.... DFI is lacking the high-end section so..
...ok.. now i got it..
that's the only thing I really wanted them to do, a proper new motherboard with a new chipset a and not only a new sb. AMD is suposed to release rd890 sometime in January 2010 and I expect that DFI have at least something anounced internally by then, so keep us posted.

4. For high end market, our product design of AMD 890 was just rendered to AMD for review.
DFI please develop an acceptable BIOS for it!
+digital PWM :D
i think they will :)
well i can ask :) but i think it will take few month till it gets out ;)
Foe every 5 UT on the Intel side - there is maybe one for
AMD.I find your luck of faith disturbing,DFI.
