Wow a solid chunk of aluminum? That must not have been cheap to do.
Kind of like a unibody macbook on a more xtreme scale.
I know what you mean about the fittings, its like eating peanuts!
WOW dave, that is looking reallllllly sick!! Love the control box and wire channels idea you've done!
BTW, those fan/rad grills are amazing!
Alright everybody it all goes down this weekend!!
I have everything I need. As soon as I finish up
my class tonight I will start tearing down the old
computer and building the new one.
Here are some quick pics to get started.
Sit back and Enjoy the ride!!!
Outstanding Dave!
Ready, Set, GO .....
Can't wait.
First, let me say I love anodizing, so I'm jealous. The anodized black box and tubing were great ideas in hiding the wires.
Curious what reservoir you are going to use and if you are going to paint the cdrom.
I'm excited to see the finished product. I assume clear tubing and red fluid or red tubing? :yepp:
oh wow dave,
i pop in to see your updates, and im speachless.
Looking very good!
Looking GOOD!!!! I like the way that the tubing looks to work out in hiding the clutter! NICE JOB!
I got a bunch done however I'm on my little computer and do not have the image resizer installed so I will take some pics tomorrow.
Everything is transplanted and installed.
I will work on wiring and then the tubing.
Pics tomorrow I promise!!
I used to not be a big fan of Mountain Mod cases, but they have been growing on me lately. But wow! This one is amazing! It looks like you're doing a great job of filling all of that extra space, too!
Dave,
A couple of questions for you.
- What o-rings/washers are you using with the case screws? Obviously saves on the case finish and could possibly take out some vibration.
- I plan to mount the RADs up front with the Drive Bays in the bottom. I can't seem to find a build log with the trinity front. Is there enough clearace up top to do that? I plan to setup a push/pull with YL's and using one of your RAD grills on the inside (yes, you've just sold me on it - IMO looks great). I'll use BP Extensions to clear the fans and RAD Grill prior to starting tubing.
- Will you be creating 3 x 120 & 1 x 120 RAD Grills as well?
Well I have worked on this thing all weekend and
I'm pretty happy with how it came out.
The pics suck so I will take more tomorrow but
I wanted you guys and Gals to see it.
Before anyone asks I am going to shorten the
SATA cable on the hard drives I just didn't have the
connector. I will order one soon.
Enjoy and sorry for the quality of the pics.
Here's some more pics...
WOW! That looks amazing, you did an awesome job.
armeniandave
Great job again:up:....I do have a question....Is that a silver coil in the res at the bottom of the input? If so could it possibly get sucked into the pump as it looks pretty close in the pump input?
Thanks in advance....
Fantastic workmanship!
The final product looks as good as I had exected it to be!! Bravo!!!
Great work Dave. All of the custom work really puts this at the top of my list of great builds.
Nice work Dave! I like the way the new parts work with the system to keep it looking nice and tidy!!!! I may have to procure some of these new goodies soon!!!:up:
