If this works out cheaper than compressions I think you've just built yourself a client base in a mater of days XD

Pro finish and sweet as duder
There is no question these will cost more.
The one I posted cost around $40 at 8grams I believe :P
Yes, compression fittings can be made with just a lathe. Those clamps cannot be made with a lathe, only with a mill so it will cost a lot more. The cheapest option would be casting but tooling costs will be prohibitive for sure. However, I do believe making a batch of 5000 clamps would make it a bit reasonable.
I'm willing to pay 10$ per clamp since it can be reused forever if it is well built.
I have to admit they look very nice in renders.
however, the cost will be too high for tube clamps. I would rather have gold plated compression fittings for a few bucks more (if that). I also fear the threads will not withstand much abuse... rendering your ~$8/each clamps useless!
who knows.. I don't want to discourage you evil I'm just not much of an optimist. If you can make this happen at the right price they will sell like hotcakes :)
Those clamps can be made from extruded Aluminum and a llathe and drill press. You just have to make soft clamps for the lathe to hold the extrusion blanks a couple of shaping tools, a part off tool , set up a jig in drill press(or mill if you have one) drill, tap and counter bore. easy.............. then send out for painting-plating.
Ah, forgot about extruded bars, that indeed solve the problem. I think it's not a big problem to create a matrice with the proper shape and not too expensive.
I agree that these would sell like hotcakes, if they were available for cheap, but I'm sure there would still be a considerable market for them, even if they're quite expensive. It's not like people who water-cool their computers don't ever spend unreasonable amounts of money on stuff they don't really need... :-)
Why aren't you guys moving to bitspower pressure conectors instead ? :D
definitely!
Thanks! im not that evill
ill be sure to let you know as soon as i get information
i really do hope so :(
well we really dont know just quite yet, hopefully its not super uber bling pricy as i wont even beable to afford them
:( thats not good
well as soon as SOMEONE sends me the quote we will know what were looking at.
to be honest anything at the right price will sell like hotcakes. the whole point is so people wont have to buy compressions, and so people who already have existing systems fulled with fittings will not need to upgrade to compressions
exactly, thanks for the optimism. now i hope the machinist feel the same
more teasing to come.
I would love to have these for my systems. I hate the look of worm drive clamps, and have invested too much in fittings to replace them all with compression fittings. Good luck Evil!
the teasing never ends!
this is a revision, with a larger rear
SS! i think this looks the most awesome so far

Love it! - can't wait to see how much these will cost!
Evil your artwork/design is very good.
I am quite impressed by the rendering. At first I thought they were real!
evil-98, you could make the threaded side wider to support more threads as was suggested, and when seen from above it would still be proportionate since the other side has the screw head.
me too! :shakes:
thanks you, ive been doing 3D for almost 5 years now and graphics in general for almost 8. by now i better be good :yepp:
yea the tube rendering was a quick one, but ill make sure that wont happen again
i was thinking that but im trying to simplify the design to cut cost. but well see, i was thinking about using low profile screw and count sink the screw.
yea i would love to make them out of SS but its kinda expensive
keep em coming evil like the last one :)
These are amazing, you can put me on the list of people willing to purchase these if they hit the shelves.
Ive changed my mind. I want white ones, with black screws.... (instead of black)
