Just got my P45! Now if my Q9550 would show I could have some fun!
well i got my p5q deloox and the q9550 overclocks terrific, 4ghz plus. so it was either my ut p45, or all ut p45 that are not too good with the 45nm quads. but as the ut p45 overclocked my e8500 e0 very well, i am thinking that this may be across all the boards. have to admit, the asus suprised me, overclocks great, great bios, integrated software, is well, elegant. it all works (v64), the layout is great. diamond flower international back for refund. will try again with x58.
the top of nb heatsink is removable to fit a HR 05 like UT X48?
nope.
Two weeks ago I was impressed when I could finally run my HyperX (D9 GKX) on my UD3P at 500fsb 333 latch with 5/6 divider at DDR-1200 using around 2.1v.
Well the UT also has a very nice 333/800 divider... I first tested two sticks which worked but then I tried 4 sticks D9 GKX at DDR2-1200 but with mostly default voltages! Used fine clock delay: 3-3-1. I Ran Prime blend for six hours when I stopped and took this screen shot.
My UD3P died yesterday and i came to this thread hoping for some quad results.... No such luck, well theres been some bad luck. Maybe i'll order 1 and try.
@ PolRoger I'm impressed very nice
 Wishes he hadn't sold all his GKX now.
Ouch mate I feel for you there I'd be wild if that happened to me.
Edit: @ PolRoger forgot to mention the board overvolts the RAM slightly .05v on my DMM, also the Prime shot shows 48~56k try custom 4096 for an hour rather than small fft's that just test the CPU cache.
C-N: I have a DMM could you tell me where I could take a reading of the actual DIMM voltage? Do yo think the VTT and MCH/NB might be overvolting as well?
I've also been testing my Powerchip IC Reapers... using the same 333/800 divider and similar low voltages... so far I've managed 8.5x470 DDR2-1129
with my 4GB kit of PC2-8500 at 1.95v and 8x500 DDR2-1200 with my 2GB kit of PC2-9200 at 2.0v. VTT and MCH/NB were both at default.
DFI seems to have found a real sweet spot with the default voltages settings and the 333/800 divider but when you raise CPU vcore to get higher overclocks and then offset it with VTT/NB and GTLs... it becomes much harder to find that nice balance of stability.
Look at this post http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...35&postcount=1 or use the empty cap pad near the motherboard screw you cant quite fit because the heat pipe from the SB to NB runs over it.
I couldn't really answer for the rest of the voltages as I've not attempted to measure them. I wouldn't be too bothered if the VTT/NB voltage was 0.05v over though.
That'll be the PC2-8000 kit ?
And thats why you love it :D
Must have DDR3 version!!!!! I just harassed Mobopro; they said that they are going to check up on getting it and a release day.
Finally got round to getting my UT P45 up and running today. It's the same cpu i had in the P35 in my sig, only using 4x1gig of OCZ PC9600 Flex instead of 2x1gig. On the P35, 2 sticks were running at 510x10 on the 5:6 divider putting the ram at 612fsb. As you can see from the screenie below, going at 556x9 at the moment.

comparing this to the dk version, is the dif in price worth it? it'll be my first build and was lookin forward to the dfi dk p45 t2rs or the jr version.
I'm real curious about the DDR3 version of this. Have yet to see a P45/DDR3 that can get ultra high FSB like RE, that would be sweet.
You don't have to convince me to buy the latest all singing thingys but you won't see the difference. 2 8x slots at PCI-E 2 have the same bandwidth of 2 16x PCI-E 1 slots & as far as I know nobody has maxed these out yet.
Looks good, How you getting on with the board? you like it?
Interestingly you are correct, they are powerchip same as the Reaper X 8000's but what is interesting is OCZ have revised the voltage spec of the 8500 kit to 2.2v max which is what threw me & made me question the IC's
For me personally the answer is yes but the difference is actually nothing I can show you!!!! I have a DK a DK Plus & this board the UT P45. The plus is running 24/7 as my work station at 4GHz DDR 1000 with 4GB of RAM & Vista & its sweet. The std DK has been to the gates of hell & back benching on phase just for fun & the UT as you can see in this thread has had a good run too. If its numbers you are after they are all as good as each other. If its high speed stability the UT wins for me, thats really the only way I can split them up. Oh just thought crossfire is a bit tight on the DK's & the 2nd card covers the floppy connector too where as the UT is fine plenty space.
any result on UT P45 T3RS?
thanks :)
@DJ: waiting for your results mate.... :DQuote:
