Anyone have any luck with Nanya 667 64m x 8 CL5 IC's, or know how well they overclock.

I hear PROMOS don't OC that well but never really hear anything about these Nanya's.

I hear they used to be poor overclockers, most of these reviews are from quite a while ago. My understanding is they are made in Singapore. Now they are pumpin out IC's with decent speeds. Wondering if anyone has info on them. I browse and never really hear that much as of lately.

Well I just got a fresh order of 2x1GB DDR2-PC6400 Crucial Ballistix RAM from ZZF, and the chips are not D9GMH! They are D9DCL. Since when did they start using DCL?

In any case, should I exchange these for something else? They don't seem like they are good for overclocking from reports here.

FelxXLC IC's?

I'm wondering what IC's are on the OCZ FlexXLC modules (PC9200 and the newly released PC6400). Anyone have a clue?
If I would have to guess: the PC6400 is Micron D9GMH and the PC9200 is D9GKX, but the question is are they Handpicked? :shrug:

It would be awesome if the PC9200 has Handpicked Micron D9GKX and they have that good-looking cooling-system on it. That would make it the best DDR2 ever IMO! :shocked:
For now, the Corsair PC8500 Dominator looks to be the best if they have Handpicked D9GKX-chips, too bad they don't have the watercooling option, tough...

The dominators use D9GMH (except the PC6400C4D) , the OCZ FlexXLC 90% D9GMH and the PC6400 mostly none D9 but we will know for sure later

i know i know....was more thinking to myself about ocz/corsair...they are sticking crazy heatsinks on their ram, jacking the price and to look and cool crazy and its not even d9 underneath....if i was to but anything like that i want hand picked micron under those heatspreaders, promos and that kind of stuff ppl can get on value sticks....dont get me wrong i really like OCZ (even more than cors) but i think that stuff with water-cooling was just to one-up corsair after dominator

My RAM List already mentioned Elpida on 6400LL, but not the exact IC type, so thanks. :)

I know, but Elpida has more than one IC in the 6E-class. See here for example.
Obviously I have to know the exact type in order to put it on the list.

"Due To changes in Part Number mapping DDR2 memory IC Inquiry will be moved to a new section and it will no longer be needed to provide us with the part,# and Lot code information to look up the IC's we used." quote from RAM GUY in IC inquiry page.

This is unfortunately isn't very informative anymore for our needs and we may have to start ripping off heatsinks to be 100% sure.

I'm glad I got my inquiry in before this changed.

Corsair is still the only company publishing a list of the ICs they used. Got to give them credit for that.

Yeah I wasn't trying to bash him he helped me out when I needed him. I am asking him to go back to old way in new link for everyone else's sake.

I was happy to find out I had 4GB of this magical Micron D9GKX IC's. My memory is cool to the touch with Dominator heatsinks and fan.

I like your nice new pics of IC's you have too.

I would like to see some pics of these Rhino's I can't find them at all I have been looking for some time. They sound like nice modules.

Hi there... I would like to know about somethig in my Teamgroup memory modules...

They are te Xtreem PC2-5300 3-3-3-8 (TXDD2048M667HC3DC) and in CPU-z it says there week 40 year 06.

Searching the list by my memory model i can see they are Micron D9GMH (B6-3)...

What i want to know is if this specifications are allways the same for all weeks in 06 year!!!! And what does (B6-3) means and if this is also the same in every wek of year 06!!!

It is not always the same but in your case it is the same, team xtreme uses only D9GMH and the B6-3 is related to Micron Binning B6 refer to the size and -3 is the rating by Micron @ 1.8V 333MHz 5.0-5-5

So this means that this is the information wrote in SPD??? Because in the very first time i turn my PC on the timings used ware 5-5-5-15 and then i have changed them to 3-3-3-8... I know this happens because some issues that some boards has with some tight timings and high memory speeds, i just want to know if those values in that link are the ones in SPD!!!

And in the memory package label is written 2.0v-2.2v and in this data sheet i can see 1.8v. Wich one is the most accurate info???

The data sheet is related to the ICs info provided by Micron , then team get those ICs and test them at certain speed and that is written on your Kit , sometimes you need to tune them manually so run @ advertised speeds provided by team then we can get into overclocking
