Seems like the E6400 is really all that is needed to come close to if not hitting the processors reasonably expected 24/7 prime stable clock speed limit.

I think it's fair to say that 450 x 7 is stable:

Although temps are starting to get VERY hot. Almost dangerous.... (notice the warning sign)

With a relatively low vCore (~0.05 above stock), You can see why i hate stock cooling :rolleyes:

Can't really test much higher till i have better cooling :(

yeah i think i overdid the "smashes" part but just surprising......and yeah some of the reviews are suggesting otherwise in terms of performance..... it's an interesting result as it doesn't follow the reviews

damn i need SPI performance to be top notch :(

I wanted that cooler, but my Ultra-120 wouldn't clear it. :) I got the North Pole NB cooler instead. A little smaller but all copper.

Yep...71*C :p:

I'd definitely get the gigabyte for the price. Its practically guaranteed you'll get 450 MHz on the FSB if not higher :)

but wow at least it is operational at those temps

and its been a tuff, deciding cause i really like the options asus gives with that board, plus i like the way it looks better, but easily $100 more i was gonna pick one up from a guy who bought 2, dont know why he did, so ill have to get the d3 ty

ps please dont kill the lil guy buy him some better coolin:cool:

don't worry, i wont kill little allen (i've named him :p: )

I've got a mate who's kindly lending me a gigabyte GCooler pro to use temporarily. In the meantime, i'm trying to finish modding my case so i can move back to water :)
