Good job , carlos!
I have the same steppping , but mine's not even stable at 262x10 , i raised vcore a bit and got 2 BSOD's in 2 days . Don't understand what's wrong with my chip. Maybe it's the memory or memcontroller having trouble? I'm gonna try my UCCC sticks now , maybe that'll help
what steppings are any good, this thread is huge itl take ages to catch up? is ther any steppings i wanna avoid?

Not a great one by any stretch of the imagination.
Superpi, 3DMark & dual Prime stable at 2600 on typhoon air. (42c load)
It'll do 2500 at 1.4v, takes 1.55v to run 2600 but core 1 craps out at anything over 2620 even feeding it 1.6v
@stone_cold cheers man i usually just skip the end of the threads to catch up with everybody else thats why i missed it. Cheers
I've just got myself a LDBFE 0610SPMW and I'm hoping to get atleast 2.6 stable...my LDBFE 0607XPAW doesn't like to be overclocked, anything above stock and it's not prime stable no matter how much volts I feed it.
To only start :)

I was just curious, if anyone is interested in the following steppings:
CCBWE 0602 UPMW (4400+)
LDBHE 0606 EPMW (3800+)
I found these two steppings at a local store of mine and just wanted to throw them out there in case anyone wanted me to grab one for them
PS. Anyone know how these steppings do? I might pick them up to see...
LDBHE 0606 are 2660 to 2850 on air, from the list.Quote:

Thats cool. Well, I guess I am sticking with my 0601 UPMW...hehe...since it appears to be one of the best steppings. So if anyone is interested in those two steppings above just pm me and I can see if I can grab them for you.
I got this last weekend. LDBHE 0601TPMW. Actually went 3hrs 17min before core 0 failed. http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/9...3ghz14v2ic.jpg
Also got a 01 @3100 with 1.56v..http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/8...51577cc.th.jpg and an 03 with 1.504v..http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/985...00744ua.th.jpg
Very nice, coop.
So that's 0601 TPMW 3000 1.4v, cooling?
And 0601 ???? 3100 1.56v, iced water / Vap XE?
And 0603 ???? 3100 1.5v, iced water / Vap XE?
If you could fill in the blanks... :D
Can someone tell me if this is a good Stepping?

up to 2.9 1.61v stable, goin for 3g's soon
That looks great. Than i ganna try to sell my opteron and buy the 3800+.
@stone cold Jimi, all the same tpmw with cold water cooling. It did very well up to 3ghz requireing only 1.4v. Core 0 is not as good as 1. I had to do the 3D 01 with core 1 only. So both cores are good to 3100 with 1.504v. At least good enough to do that.
So ive ordered today an X2 3800 0606APMW.
Primeresults Dualprime 24.14 next week.
they are available at www.trend4pc.de
Boxed Version.
http://www.trend4pc.de/media/products/AMD_Stepping.htm
I've seen that stepping to, nice world record, but is that just al lucky one or is it a good stepping?
My bad - I mistook 01 and 03 for serials instead of 3DMark. Nice chip! :)Quote:

Ofcourse the Denmark 165's are the way to go, 0608MPMW for example would be nice ;) however getting one of these is practivally impossible unless you spend big bucks. Even more so for us Europeans it's HARD to get any (good) Opterons... But that's going too far OT.
The toledo's have the CCBWE/CCB1E beginning while the manchesters have LDBHE or something similar like LDBFE. So the core that you THINK is a manchester is really a toledo with half the cache on each core disabled. More than likely it wont oc very well compared to the manchester x2's you see here. So dont get that chip expecting too much if you must buy it.
mmm just a taste of things to come...

Those are some nice clocks and I am definitely hoping to see more. Ill keep my fingers crossed that you dont hit a wall anywhere because I have seen quite a few chips hit 3ghz + on phase with low volts but need a huge voltage increase to push to 3.2+
Ah yes, thanks for clearing this up. Havent been following this discussion at all I see. :fact:Quote:

The vapo was really hurtin at 1.55v, I saw temps as warm as -5 in MBM and evap temp was around -30-35 if I remember correctly. Just recieved my 2 x2 3800 manchesters. One is a LDBHE 0605 TPMW "n" and the other is a LDBFE 0612UPAW "t". Not sure which one to keep :)
Wow, 0612? Thats the newest one I have seen. Just for a prediction, I would bet that the 0605 does better at lower volts but the 0612 might just do better when scaling. You never know, the 0601's were godly, but there are always newer 060x or 06xx chips that might pwn ass as well. I would try both and report back here. ASAP lol
Well lads i got a LDBHE 0605 FPAW 3Ghz stable a while back on water with 1.6v. I just ordered another so i now have 2 of that stepping and a 3rd i can choose if its ok from a friend who will let me test.
Now i have 3 too choose from so ill be testing this friday hopefully under my new Custom Phase unit., YIPPEEEE
Results soon lads. :D
Also i pray i dont have a cold bug in at least one of the 3 CPU's. The LDBHE is about the best for non bug correct.
Well my LDBHE 0601XPMW is now 32m stable at 3048mhz thanks to you guys and some testing....my wall was 1.52v and 2974mhz for the longest time. The cure was 1.6v. It seems this "T" chip needs more volts to wake it up. I might try loosening up the bh5 at little also as I have it at very tight timings. I am water cooled as in my sig and temps are in the 22c range
Tonite when I get home I will see if it has more in "the winch"
Hello!
I bought a X2 3800 LDBHE 0605 EPAW (N chip)
I can oc up to 2500Mhz with default Voltage and pass Spi 1M,but in order to get stable (Spi 32M) at 2600 it needs 1,525V!!:( :(
Seems very odd to me...Do you have any details for my step??
I should mention that I use stock heatsink and temps are really low on cpu..(well PWM area gets really hot but I don't think that this is the problem..)
make sure that your htt multi is set to 3x, and that you use a divider on the ram to make sure that it is taken out of the equation.
I tried using lower dividers just to make sure the problem isn't there, but no improvement..:(Quote:

could be ReaperX, but that is not right how it scales. That big of a volt bump should make it scale more than that.
I also have pretty high PWM Area temps...About 52-55C when raising V core and running spi..Could it be the problem??
And what about the psu? It's a fortron 500W.But I don't think so,because Volts seem stable at Smartgurdian and a the only thing that absorbs much power is the cpu as long as I use an old pci card..
indeed :banana:Quote:

LOL my PWM reach 61-62 ºC when dual priming at 2650 1,46v with my opty 165.
until 55 i think is pleasangly fine. They are mosfets, in nF2U400 they used to reach 70-80º and were without heatsinks. Ones in our DFIs (or other brands) are heatsinked ;)
salu2.
3800+ LDBHE 0605 TPMW at the moment more to come.

Got 2x x2 3800 here on the job and im teaking one home for weekend testing since my opti died on me (or the expert killed it not sure) so the stepping is
LDBHE 0601SPMW batch *351 and a 0609XPMW but i guess i´l teake 0601 home to test
Will post results once i get home.
Ok as said before, got 3 of these so will post as i go. This is the first Chip and seems to like the Cold, Yippeee

:D
@4QMAN
what's your room temp. I'm wondering why your PWM IC temp is low. Is it possible that the coldness from your evap is cooling your mosefts? I can't get that low even with a 120mm fan blowing on the mosfets.
MAte its my ambient temps dude, I moved my rig next to my window. When it open i get awsome temps especially when i have a 100cfm Fan on the area.
With water i use to hit around 20oC idle on the CPU, most times my PWMIC is around 20oC mate.
sorry about that, didn't mean to come off as rude. I was just curious about the pwm ic temps. My ambient room temp is pretty high i guess with 60f weather being the lowest at night lately. Anyways great clocks. I can't wait to get my chip under phase.Quote:

Na Alex08 ya cool i new u wasnt being rude,
EDIT
Chip used is a LDBHE 0605 FPMW not a FPAW,
This is weird.
I've been running Rosetta@Home 24/7 for most of April on my x2 3800+ rig. But this week, it started locking up more and more frequently until it would only run 20 minutes. I've been running 2700 / 1.39v all this time and the load temps are around 42C or 43C. Quitting Rosetta, I primed at 41C for three and a half hours until core 1 crashed - aha, some instability.
So I bumped the vcore to 1.42v and primed again (1:45 so far). Now the load temp is flatlined at 39C... with more voltage? WTF? It's a T chip, btw.
NB: The latest Rosetta work units are a lot tougher than SP2004 custom blend, I'm sure of that. Pity that there's no seperate torture test function in BOINC for this, or it would be a new standard for sure.
setup is found in sig.
using crappy chilled water(-19c). +15C load in windows.

It has a weird stepping, but someone posted their 3800+ had the same one:

Is the batch # the 60001? I was never sure :P
it's batch # 1 :)
Ooohh, sexy
Edit:
2.5GHz is 3.5hours prime stable at 1.31v
I'll be happy with 2.8GHz @ low volts
just got this today from newegg. ordered yesterday afternoon. as you can see it is an n chip. google only came up with one but the post was taken down. will post results soon.

2.5Ghz was 12hours stable at 1.31v
I am now trying to get 2.75 stable, it kept BSODing up to 1.39v and would freeze while priming. Core 0 failed after 1.5hours of priming at 1.375x1.048=1.441v (MBM5 read 1.39/1.40) so I am now trying 1.45xAuto. I hope my core 0 doesn't max out very early :(
What is the recommended voltage to stick near for 'N' chips? I remember chew saying that in theory if lots of volts were pumped through the N chips they would die prematurely
Edit:
2.75GHz is 8 hours stable at 1.45xauto
Currently testing 2.8GHz at 1.4x1.048
I've got a 0601 for sale, see sig for link to thread or PM me for detailsQuote:

Does anyone think that it could be a bad IHS mount? My temps are at 38 (on an expert which underreports) with high end water

yea, it could definately be a bad ihs mount. Mine would fail core 1 first before I removed the ihs. Now both cores are almost exactly the same as far as stability.
just checking .. but this will work in my asus a8n sli deluxe correct?
