Blitz Extreme is fast, and with X38 we will get an additional boost. 36k next! :D
surprised he hasn't used his X38 board
maybe he was showing off the powa of the Blitz board first :D
extremely impressive and i am sure it would have been even nicer with high FSB chip......Jason need a 600MHz FSB to compete here heh
Elmor how much of a boost are we talking about or are you going to have to be quiet until 24th :D
Thank you guys :)
there is more left in this cpu. Have to order new caps so i can mod this extreme for higher cpu clock freq. This chip can do about 460 fsb on blitz with high clock freq.
But know im of to china to visit gigabyte and test their x38 dq6 :)
/Kinc on cell
Nice, congratz, 35K is history now..
Gigabyte.. hummm.. good test so..
I hope you will have fun in China and that you give 3D06 a run with that chip. ;)
Congratz!!
:eek2: WTG Marcus!
jejej congrats marc ;)
the magic touch has returns :D
Cards are running only 1000/980MHz with 1.4Vgpu and default voltages for memory. Cpu is running on ~1.84V (need cap mod for it to scale with more voltage). Memory is running on 2.04V 1:2 7-6-5-15 1T TRFC=40. Perf lvl is at 7 for safe runs. Perf. lvl 6 works and will provide about 100 points for next runs.
Marcus bro, congrats! :D
Fully deserving
Thank you for your reply - much appreciated.
Yes the PCIE bandwidth is a big bottleneck so higher clocks dont help that much on p35.
Ive tested the cpu on the X38 DQ6 and I was stunned by how good it performs and clocks. 5500MHz for 05 wont be a problem and Crossfire on X38is very good. Will have som runs on that motherboard when I'm home again :D
I also have Maximus waiting at home wich is going to be tested very soon.
HD2900XT Crossfire runing 1120/960MHz on Maximus Formula X38 with 5.1GHz QX6850. X38 helps crossfire perf. alot!

nicely done marcus..
i didnt think that the ati cards were this strong in 03
50 MHz lower core clock than your published run yet all GPU limited tests are faster. Nice!
So as expected nice boost in graphics demanding tests with X38 :) Can't wait to see what can be done in 05+06.
dinos22 and trox: No X38 for me yet...
Well done on 35k great to see MMmm no more QX6850 this sounds worth waiting for enjoy .:D
Just a little test. Not very exciting, but the score is pretty good for the clock I think :)

Very interesting when is the chip going to see some extreme cooling? :D
Just about the same my Yorkfield. Air cooled, but seems like I hit a FSB wall on this CPU. Performance @ 3.2GHz pretty much equals an 3.4GHz Kentsfield.
Nice
Intel official pre-production bench results released around March gave a figure of 4569 2k6 CPU for a 3GHz Yorkfield - and that looks to be pretty much close.
First day with Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650. Pretty powerfull chip no doubt :D

I see another round of battling between you guys coming soon :D
lol,...now that's what I call cheating. :D
That power is just siiiiicck. :slobber:
Hows it clock and whats the cold bug like?
couple of new wr's , can't wait to see what the next few months will bring! thanks Kinc.
There is alot left in this chip. It scales so good with voltage. But I have some power problem when running quad core. Might be my good old 850W Silverstone that is giving up, since the rigg just power down under the cpu test. 5300-5400 should be doable for quad.
Coldbug is around -140C in windows. But it won't post colder than -120C.
Gonna focus on 28k for 06 tomorrow.
awsome marcus,
this is a really nice chip,
and the results they are crazy.., keep em coming
very nice
can you try pushing the FSB more with lower multi
Nice kinc, those results do look pretty sick
Great going kinc!
Around 467 x 12 and you'll break 8sec for sure. Maybe with even less. :D
Wow.....I didn't realize these 45NM chips were so fast until now....!!
Great....gooood chip
Congratz
To futuremark 3d05.............."CPU Name Intel Pentium III 5439 MHz"
More Benchs please!!!!
Congrats Kinc , what clocks you are running on the cards ?
Congrats Kinc, What maximal frequency of the processor when all 4Core are active?
Holly Smokes man!.......
45nm Sweetness :D
Congrats and Good Luck for 28K, Kinc :)
Impressive clock Kinc, then new chip it's
Tried OC with air/h2o ?
Yes it can do ~4.15GHz quad core on air.
More info here: http://www.nordichardware.com/news,6863.html
excellent scores out of that chip Kinc  keep it up
hiya kinc on a side note hows the asus maximus formula doing as i am torn between the formula ddr2 or ddr3 extreme one , any insight
cheers
It is great. Gives you 2.3V for the cpu and ALOT of volts for the rest of the things you might wanna play around with. It clocks the cpu and memory high. Very good intreface for setting memory timings. Cooling is great, I love that they have separated the heatpipes between mosfets and the chipset. And ofc Crossfire perf is the best I've seen.
you can't say fairer than that, what would you say the performance difference between the ddr3 and ddr2 board 1-2% something like that i fancy the extreme board but it would mean dumping by old friends corsair cas3's and sinking some serious dosh into some ddr3 ram which if the performance difference isn't massive between them the formula edition would be a more economic choice
thanks kinc yes i think ddr3 is the way to go but currently its so darn expensive even for non hi performance ddr3 atm
Nice to see the "real one" storm right in. Congrats on the insane scores!
That CPU looks 'ok'. ;) Actually I am VERY impressed of how much you gained with it. I do think there are plenty of WRs that are going to be broken this autumn.
The pi is just sick.. its no use for kentsfield anymore. Yorkfield here I come!!
Holy Moly that 05 is impressive.
Excellent work Kinc, yes we all want to see what a 45nm does on 2001. Please spend a little time with this.
I would think 03 would be pretty good as well even with Ati not being favoured of course in this bench.
Hey, although this is a 3D benching area that SuperPi 2D test is pretty good also  Bet you were blown away by that session ?
:toast: :toast:
Regards
Andy
Wow!!!
Not bad start Kinc!!!
Incredible scores!!!
You're not CPU limited!!:p:
Congratz!
That's Xtreme Kinc!
Bravo! Very nice result & very nice sys

Soon 28k + 300k + 7,9sec? :p:
Great scores Kinc! Looking forward for next weekend ;)
I wont' start new thread for this, but just started my own Radeon HD 2900 XT CrossFire benches with QX6850 and Asus Blitz Formula. CPU with dryice cooling and graphic cards with stock cooling, 3DMark06 23677. Managed to overtake Fugger and gprhellas:
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=3179247
Nice benching :D
I wont be posting anymore for a while now but I see that I forgot to post the Aquamark score here. Done with 2900XT Crossfire.
http://www.kinc.se/300k.png
wow congrats Kinc 301k
Over 300!!
Great
was it 2 or 4 core??
Frequency??
voltage??
:D
Really nice AM3!! :D Great!
Uh!!!
301K!!!
Not bad!!!:D
No 3dmark01? :(
Would really love to see the 01. That AM3 score is Insane!!! Congrats on breaking 300K!
Congrats Kinc...IMPRESSIVE score with 2900XT  :toast:
Kinc, the '06 cpu score it's not a little bit "low"?
It's for the low FSB?
ok marcus since you can't publish result, you can still hint us :D
how many digits for 01?
Nice find Marcus! Interesting... choice of card affects CPU score. Not just a CPU score after all. :)
Just ignore it if you are running 65nm. The reason for these 3dmark scores to be published at this point at all is just to fill in some gaps on what this cpu can do in 3DMark. I myself were running QX6850 just last night on Striker Extreme for some Ultra SLI in 01 and 03. Will continue today. I had completly forgot what a pain in the ass 680i can be :)
Small improvement, 24283 points and spot #10 in 3DMark06 Hall of Fame:
