NICE fans!!!! :)
I can see a review in a near future :D
Cleaned up a bit, and swapped motherboard(from GB EP45-DS5) to my old Asus P5K-E.
Also put in the TRUE Copper instead of Noctua NH-U12F. :)

Might take the time for some better photos another day. ;)

ASUS M4A785TD-V Evo with PII X4 955BE + Sapphire Radeon HD 4890 Vapor-X + 4GB Mushkin DDR3 1333 = Gaming Rig for a friend
Thank you. I think the Vapor-X is one of the best looking graphics card I've ever had.Quote:
very nice indeed buddy.......nice colours......I bet your friend is well chuffed

Great looking build mav!
Copper performs very good on extreme conditions:
- low ambient
- extreme tdp/cfm
- preferable to maximize heat treansfer from ihs to base by using Liquid pro, for best results
I begin preliminary tests with VenomousX and is a very good cooler, big step ahead for Thermalright, especialy regarding base, retention sistem and low rpm performance.
@ Patrock
that looks amazing. Fantastic photography.
Which cooler are you using?
Thats actually a variant of the 5 heatpipe HDT cooler a.k.a: 3R System Boss2, Alpenföhn Nordwand - Rev.B or Spire Thermax eclipse. The Spire looks the best imho.
Angelreaper how did you get your hands on that Arrow-14?! :D Test! Test! Test!
my cruncher :)

Clean cruncher system Burninator
Great rig, patrock84. Now, like josk1 said, you need a black PCB GPU, with a green or yellow coloured plastic over the GPUs heatsink and you have a winner.
Thumbs up!

Nothing as nice and fancy as y'alls but it's fun when testing and lights up the room pretty good!

According to a reputable site and my ears, they are the quietest fans out there, considering their performance.
They go for about $14 CDN each, which is quite a bit, but at least they come with the rubber mounts. I regret buying them in orange though - b/w looks a lot better. Oh well, next time.. :p:
These are the same product as the classical 120mm Yate loon. Undervolted to 7v theres no difference between them aside from brand and the premium Nexus charges you.
still playing with my new camera, trying to perfect the focus (excuse the dust please):

Oh man  dusty home :D
Today I opend our over 10 year old Pentium 3 system the first time.
There was dust but for that long time really less...
Sorry that I made no pics of the cooler :(
I just started a worklog for my new system: pink project
Would be great to see you there :welcome:
You guys have some sick setups. Awesome job!!!!!
@mav2000
Gentletyphoon? RPM?
Yup.......1850 on the heatsink and 2X1450 as case fans. One on the side panel and one at the bottom.
Awesome looking rigs everyone.
Latest pic with all my current mods.

^^^ holy crap!!! What are the temps like?
http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/5...assedtest2.jpg
Keep in mind I use an air duct to pool cooler air from the outside connected to the rear fan as intake so its hard for me to state the actual ambien temp.
I just like how big it looks even if its overkill lol
Notice that my load vcore goes up to 1.40v so there you could see my max temp.
very nice, the setup just looks sick man!
Thanks mate...not everyone thinks the same LOL
Well thank you...it makes me feel less weirdo now...Sometimes I wonder where is my mobo!
I did not try much since I got the 920 just like you see it. I am going to run the fans at max then at very slow speed and see what difference does it make if any...then probably try without the push one but that will be done over the weekend, :-)
Yeah cant wait to see some results. That setup looks so sick
Thanks mate. I see you got the Classified and Quad SLI...nice....and Chicken Patty also has an Evga...a shame my mobo is hardly visible cause those mobos are pretty! lol
I am going to measure voltage for real with a DMM to make sure how much I want to push it then I will go all out on it...this weekend is going to be fun!
Welcome Fan controllers.....isn't technology amazing?
I feel honored to be one of your 15 posts in one year!
Oh and with the sound I get, I can probably use deltas at full speed and not hear them LOL
http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/4394/testor.jpg
Pic is a bit old so the place looks a lot better organized but you get the idea.
Pity you didn't get a better cpu. 1.35v is a bit much for a D0 at 4.1Ghz.
I agree. I have seen so many D0 doing 4Ghz with less than 1.30v. Actually on load it shows 1.39-1.40
Still I need to make sure what actual voltage my mobo is delivering as I have seen some drastic differences between Bios and OS for the EVGA mobos when tested with a DMM.
I still have hopes! :D
Dude...I have a 30" Dell and I feel it's too much every time I work on it. Now how the heck can you use that...monstruosity as a PC monitor? That thing is scary!!!
Easy I dont for the most part lol
I use the smaller 120Hz lcd on the left side for usual stuff and when ready to do some hardcore 3d vision gaming I just kick back about 5' and start gaming nirvana!
Ha you got me! It was a miniature keyboard making the other stuff look bigger lol
Crazy man you must love your 3d stuff. But 5" i don't get how you'd be good for it even 4ft away that screen is big.
that screen is :banana::banana::banana:ing huge!!! OMFG
Edit: nice air setup to!
Thanks!
I am going to remove the tv as nobody cares about the pc anymore
I thought I had a typo but not it really says 5' in my original post. I will measure exactly how far I am now that I got my wife out of the room with her computer I got more space but I like to keep my closeness to it for bigger impact! :DQuote:
razy man you must love your 3d stuff. But 5" i don't get how you'd be good for it even 4ft away that screen is big.
I am going to add an extra fan to the TV to keep it on topic. ;)
Oh yeah...and did I mention that that screen is huuuuuge??? :D
I think you did!
Gonna have to add something bigger to my PC to direct the attention to it again...
Maybe two of these for push/pull
http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/9582/loudfan4.th.jpg
@shaolin95
Wow thats one crazy air cooling setup, def. one of the best I have seen in a long time :up::up:
Thank you so much mate...I really appreciate all the comments here. I do like how it looks overkill as it may be. :toast:
I wish I was better at wire management, specially on the other side...I have seen some rigs here that are just freakin master pieces of neatness. :)
Then again, when summer comes I am counting on it to keep my OC where it is.
I tried checking my voltages yesterday to really know what my chip is getting so that I can push higher but it seems my radio shack DMM is crap and is not getting any readings :-(
Media Center Upgrade:
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4035/...f5ebded8_b.jpg
You need to upgrade the stock cooler  Love the picture anyway!
Very nice Jokester...clean and neat! :-)
A few pics of a build I did for a friend...........

Not exacly, it's from the german brand Alpenföhn and the product is known as Nordwand.
Of curse! ;)

http://www.abload.de/img/dfix58ut_006ayiz.jpg
Pure beuaty i must admit!
I guess the first card is the 5870..... and you're gonna run it passive? really?
whats the second?
I think the main vga is a GTX 285/275/260 and the second is a low-end nvidia for pissx.
He seems to be a HDT enthusiast. :)
After nearly a decade with my previous case (Coolermaster ATCS-201-SXK, aka the Silver Widow), I had finally outgrown it's usability. With 6 HDD's two ODD's, three video cards, and a board that filled the entire motherboard tray, cramped wasn't the word. The heat build up was insane, and further expansion was impossible.
I needed a full tower (not least to allow me to watercool in the coming months), I knew I wanted it to be simplistic in design, and also wanted the quality of the build to be good, this narrowed me down to Lian Li. I was in OcUK on Saturday only meaning to buy an E5300 Pentium Dual-Core CPU and some RAM, but ended up walking out with a Geforce 9800GT (for physx) and the Lian Li PC-A71F (go figure, my spending habits are weird).
It took me just over 4 hours to transfer the PC from my Coolermaster to the Lian Li, but I wanted to make sure that the wiring was literally as neat as possible, to maintain the airflow in the case, and to ease the watercooling installation in the future (nothing in the way means nothing to relocate).
The build quality really is superb, I was most impressed with the cantilever design for the PCI slots, really well made and such a nicety to not have to use screws or those stupid plastic sliders. I was slightly disappointed that the HDD's couldn't be mounted in reverse without losing the "locking" ability of the HDD rack, but hey, at least they DO fit backwards, so the cabling can be kept out of sight (and out of mind :p).
So, pics:

I'll be replacing the ODD's (or perhaps just vinyl dying them black) in due course, but for now they are hidden behind the door anyway :p. And I want to replace the fans, as I'm sure there are quieter and better performing fans out there.
If anyone has any ideas on what to replace the stock fans with I'd be all ears, and if anyone has any ideas on what watercooling kit to use, again, I'd be appreciative. Likewise if anyone has any questions or requests then I'll try my best to answer :)
No, the gpu-cooler on the GTX260 is equipped with NB Multiframe fans.
You're looking forward to a HD5870?
http://www.abload.de/img/bifrost_01z1ld.jpg
Yep. GTX260 and GTS240.
http://www.abload.de/img/he03gtx_0020e3u.jpg
Put that $hitmatek *cough* xigmatek on a small die size GPU and you'll be surprised. :D
Paradigital............ Nice and neat, just plain simple and beautiful!!
Server??
Nope, main rig (in sig). I love "tidy" hence why it's laid out as it is :) Cheers for the complement
My server is actually less powerful (Phenom II X3 720BE, 8GB PC2-8500 Kingston HyperX, Asus M3A78-VM, 3x500GB Seagate Baracudas in RAID5), but given it doesn't do much, it's plenty powerful enough for the job :)
Wish I would take the time to do y'alls' studio quality pics.....:(
However here is a few shots of one of my older systems - in the light and then the dark.
