I'm hitting a wall exactly at the same HTT of 275 with 2x512 OCZ 4200 3-4-4-8 1T (09/14 bios) and I get a "Nvidia Raid Services failes" message everytime I come into Windows - funny though this does not appear in case I boot with 270...Quote:

Btw - can anyone tell me which mem I find on my 2x256 3500EB ?
Is it better to set the HTT Multiplier yourself or to leave it at AUTO? I am unsure of this setting.
I think i must have 32 or 33sek ...
34 is bit low???

well, I hit what I was trying for :)
everything same as before except 3V Vdimm using DDR Booster.
What memory is that ?
If you mean me.. That is 1 256Mb stick of OCZ PC4200EL..Quote:

What kind of chips does that mem use? I guess TCCD?Quote:

i think my ram has the same chips, im trying to get it stable at 270. bypass and r/w bypass are set at 4 (any lower gives big bandwidth loss) and all the dqs, 32byte stuff is set to dibable or decrease for stability.
how did you get past 275 for a start, are your pcbs better than mine?

these are the only settings I changed from Auto:
CAS latency to 3
Ras to CAS Delay Delay to 4
Ras Precharge to 4
TRAS to 7 (might need 8 for your ram)
TRC to 11
Also, Do not Take Vdimm over 2.9V if booting to windows. Mine will hang If it goes Higher,
And I just noticed. I had to run 2T for High FSB.
and to let you know. I have 2 sticks of the PC4200EL. 1 will not go over 290 FSB while the other will do 326 FSB.
And yes, The PCB's used in OCZ Ram are designed for Maximum performance and for low noise.
Also, A 512MB module will limit your Overclock also. A64's don't always like double sided Dimm's.
@hag6br
I thought u used 3v as mentioned above...??
I recon on my Asus K8V I had to do a cmos-clear after switching between the 3500EB and the 4200 - otherwise the screen would go blank when booting into windows... dunno if those MB's store some information in the backyard that you hv to get rid of when trying with diff ram...?
Your hint re voltage might work for me as well... had one module running at 300 with the max vdimm of 2.85v on the MSI K8N.. will giv e it a try this evening
I did.. I booted up at 2.9V and after into windows, I used the DDR booster to bring it up to 3V.. :cool:Quote:

Dont think it will be that great with 2T =)
Just look at what Ballistix can do on this board with default voltage and 2.5-2-2-11 timings:

Allbrain, that prime95, pifast, superpi stable ?
That is Super_PI 32 MB stable. I will test with some 3D benchmarking as soon as I get my new GFX, but I believe that if it can pass a 32 MB Super_PI test, then it is stable.
hag6br: yeh i should have thought of 2T. just i was very impressed that this board let me run my ram at 1T this high!
i can boot windows at 3.2 bios 3.16 ite monitor. but im pretty sure thats 3.2v real cause the ite guardian read my psu rails much lower than DMM.
oh well its budget ram so im happy!
also managed to tweak some bandwidth.
now tonight i will put in a pci vid card so i can run memtest all night and manage to sleep :D
Just saw http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=2206&p=7
seems that 270 is the max with 2 sticks.
and if anandtech cant get further, what hope have we got :stick: :D
@reject
Since the review of the K8N Neo by those guys and people like myself rushed to buy THE A64 board of your dreams ... I now know what to think about their reviews....
To be fair, at least with the DFI they came closer to reality... ;) But I do think we can go further - let's wait for some more awesome stuff by Oscar :)
I wish I had a Phasechange Cooler and I could do some awesome stuff:D
Nope.. it barely runs a Sandra benchmark at that speed.. :p:Quote:
