eva2000 what are some good a64 tweaker settings with 2xKHX3000/512 BH-5?
For BH5 i use:
2.0
8 (or 9, depends on motherboard)
12
2
2
2
5
Last 4 on minimum :)
not sure for 2x 512MB as it will be looser than with 1x 256MB or 1x 512MB you really need to play with the settings using the testing outlined at http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?p=974#post974Quote:

Amazing what ddr booster can do for tight timings + bh5.
Here is the max FSB my Crucial Ballistix DDR400 512MB stick can do at the moment:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...-4-4-11275.jpg
It does not want to go past that FSB. I wonder if some more Vdimm or Vchipset will help?
hag6br has some really nice numbers!
eva2000, that looks good, but i get similar scores at 265 with really loose timings? and how do you do unbuffered runs?
and albrain what are your settings? looks good!
heres my best so far. thanks to afhung for the tip on using 4708 refresh with hynix D-43
Here is my settings:
Memory Timings -> 3-4-4-11 @ 1T
HTT -> 275
HTT Multiplier -> 3x
CPU Multiplier -> 8x
CPU Voltage -> Default
Chipset Voltage -> Default
Memory Voltage -> Default
buffered sandra scores don't show real speed of memory, only sandra unbuffered will show real speed of memoryQuote:

Does anyone use a OCZ DDR Booster on this Board??
Whats the max voltage you can reach with it??
thx for reply free
wow that samsung really doesnt need any volts! id try upping chipset to 1.7v
i use OCZ DDR Booster and you can use up to max 3.9v from what i can tellQuote:

Wish there was a fix for the >3.6v boot issue!
ok then here is my unbuffered. looks pretty lame compared to your now. i gues buff'd likes fsb and unbuff'd likes tight timings. so what is the point of buffered and why is it default?
what are your full settings? esp. what Trc, Trfc, and Tref. and also what DQS value are you using?
i think that is enough tweaking for today, i flashed to 5/10 beta 4vdimm and am using 3.2v.
now i will play doom3 for the first time in ages since my comp was last up like a month ago!
great thx @eva :toast:
so i can ebay it
free
well first i tried to play D3, but it needed to be reinstalled so i cbf. then i went to play chaser, but i get pauses and artifacts due to the immense heat of the chipset. the probe i put on the top of the hs reads 45c. i have a zalman blue hs, but i dont think i could put it on the nb or it would block a better gpu heatsink being installed. maybe i will try. would the zalman have enough surface area? i dont think it could cover the whole chip as the bottom is a rectangle
Ok Eva, Here is an unbuffered benchmark for you..
A sandra Buffered Benchmark is a Maximum Throughput of the system and Sandra uses 7 different algorithims to calculate the score.
An Unbuffered benchmark is the Raw Throughput of the system Not using any special functions of the system, such as MMX, SSE, Hyperthreading, Burst transfers, Etc.
And Now Eva.. How are you keeping your system stable over 2.9V Vdimm. Anything I use over 2.9V Locks the system up tighter than a drum in Windows. and that is with 5 different types of Ram.
But my system won't even POST with PC3500EB Installed :mad:
what are those 5 types of ram ? what was used for that 325HTT 1:1?Quote:

so far i have no probs with single sticks of
BH-5
XMS3500C2v1.1 in 256MB and 512MB
KHX3200K2/512
KHX3200/512
other ram
512MB OCZ PC3700EB
512MB OCZ PC3700 Gold rev3
256MB ADATA PC4000
still have quite a few different ram to test
what psu do you have hag6br? i'm using a volt modded 3.3v rail 550W Antec TrueControl
2-2-2-6-9-12-2-2-1-1 with 7x max bypass, 16x r/w bypass, 7ns max async latency rest are autoQuote:

Any Micron Based Ram, the system picks the wrong Multiplier and won't POST. AFter I manually set the Muliplier, The PC3500EB started to work great.
My DDR booster works great with Micron and Winbond Based ram (have had it up to 3.8V) But won't work with Hynix Based Ram...
Must still be some quirks in the Bios I guess.
As for PSU's.. I have used My Enermax 430W and My OCZ Powerstream 520W.
If you are wondering, I am using the Beta 9/14 Bios.
If you are wondering, I was Going for a Max 1:1 Overclock with the PC4200EL as I know this stuff will do 317 FSB on a P4C800..
i have 2x256MB OCZ 3500EB and thay works without problems!Quote:

thx perc,
Here is some 2-2-2 action for you. My kingston is doing well in this mobo :D

If you already have the booster, give it a whirl. Otherwise, just see how high your pot turns up the 3.3v rail. If you can get say 3.8v on it, then you should be able to give the RAM 3.7v (with the 4.0v BIOS). You might find out you don't need a booster. :) I'm using a PCP&C 510 Deluxe, that only gives me 3.52v, for 3.4vdimm. I'm gonna see what my Turbocool 425 gives me, and if it's not any better, I'm probly gonna look for a booster. Heh, I was playin around last night, and got up to 7x340 using the 7/10 divider. :D I'm right next to stable @ 9x289 using 5/6, for 2601 MHz. I've narrowed my weak link down to vid card RAM, so I'm not done yet. ;)Quote:

you shouldnt get errors in memtest. in 1.26 try to run 5 full loops between ocing.
eva2000 apart from all the 2s and 1s im runnning the same as you, had to turn up async from 7 to 8ns and got a ton of stability
so the reason your 400mb\s higher than me is because of the 2-2-2? casue this is the best ram i have. :( now im gonna have to get to DDR600 just to catch up to you :lol
