Yes, quite a bit. :) I'm in the same boat as Bourch tho, wondering how many times my settings were just right, but I didn't reboot again. :rolleyes: ;) No big, I still love this board. :toast: Hopefully, they'll figure out a fix in a newer BIOS. BTW, I really noticed this happening when I installed my mobile 3000+. It just completely changes the way vcore is set, compared to a desktop or DTR. For instance, 1.5 +110% on a desktop chip =1.6v, but 1.5 +110% on the mobile =1.65v. Kina weird, huh. ;)

the results for my memory were on the kv8 pro thats why i had to run 2T.
im still trying to backup my music through dos casue i cant get into windows with the hd on any comp. i cant install windows until i back up my stuff

That is a perfect example on why you get a slave drive or partition your main drive into 2 parts for atleast your music. For me I do that and I make a backup copy of all my music and important data on my parents PC that I partitioned a section of their drive as well. I just sent the data over the network. Over 10GB worth lol...

Yes still with.. what benefit did you gain? :D Does it fit, because the evap does not fill 100% on the heatspreader as you might know.

I think the temps are the same as I measured at the epox. -28C idle in speedfan because my display idle and load are quite the same.

i was undering about that my self? my temps on this 3000 chip are a little off of what id usaly expect on this mach1. i wounder if my heat spreader has a concave or somthing? i got a 3400DTR comming so im not going to bother taking this heat spreader off. now i just hope i dont get clearance problems when i get this DTR? im going to have to check the contact real good i would hate to kill a chip because of a poor foot print....

I know with Mach I & II evap does not cover heatpsreader and is offsett infact. With LS evap is larger but still does not cover HS completely. Your R507 Mach I looks like it kicks ass pretty much to me. And it looks like you temps are better than my 3700 at similar Mhz under LS.

Well i do not have that problem,i have don it serval times now and i allways have correct voltage or fsb or whatever from the first time a boot,i use the oscar wu 4.0vdimm bios.

When a have to reboot with case resetbutton or on the mobo itself(reset) the pc hangs and a have to push the off button 5sec and then start again to go ahead,any idee watts the problem here.

how much work do you think it will take to get this new DTR3400 to make good contact with my mach1? this will be my first 64 chip with no ICh so im a bit worried that i wont be able to achive good contact. ive run plenty of xp/bartons with this mach1 and the mounting looks the same so i wounder if im worrying for nothing? i plan on checking the clearances before putting it all together i just hope it all works out. anyone in here with a mach unit using DTR chips? just looking for some advise....

yeh, ive been running download files and installed program partitions for ages, just my music and pictures files are so convientinet...
right now i have my existing C for prorams and D for dls, as well as a new e for storage and G for windows. music is on C

running 9x260 3-4-4-8-1T. dled memtest 3.1 and got 25 passes 0 errors! on my kv8 pro 240 was the max 1T could go so im really happy!
sandra is 3944/3944 95%, 3dmarks was not much lower than on kv8 pro @2.5ghz around 22.6k and best was 24.3k). AM3 was quite low ~66k best ive got was 72k.

i cant get it to boot at 2.6 or i get the raid array error, btw. thius is a new cpu and doesnt seem to have very good heatspreader contact

my temps are like 50/60, but on temp probe on side of chip they are 30/40, what temps are other poeple getting on air?
also the voltage readings of my rails are way off multimeter, so i think that vcore/vdimm etc. may be over what is displayed.

Before removing that spreader make sure you have the memory speed to match. Not much point in gaining 80 MHz on the CPU if you have to drop back a multiplier.

@CodeRed...what kind of cooling are you using? I can't get my 3200+ to overclock very well. Well stable anyway. It always gives me memory dump errors when loading windows. I figured because of the overclock. Do you have any ideas for me?

my new 3000+ seems to be really gay. it wont run 2.4ghz stable with 1.65v
my last one ran 2.5ghz 1.625v
is it the IHS making poor contact or does it need to be burnt in?
i will get another 3000+ when i rma the 2.5ghz one (which my kv8 pro fried)
so should i take it off or sell it if the new one is good?
in memtest i get 2 errors after 25 passes at 270x9, and windows lockups so im pretty sure its the cpu casue it is fine at 2385mhz (265x9)
any thoughts?

I wonder if I tried to RMA mine and they would send me a CG stepping :p:It really isn't doing what I want it to. I see all these other peoiple hitting 2.4GHz just fine and I can't hit sh*t! It isn't fair :mad:

I'm running 2900MHz 1.76v at this moment 24/7.

My 3200CG can run stable at 2.380 or so, but very unstable at 2.410.
Its very strange..almost like something is built in to protect them or something

wat about temps? anyone getting accfurate temps? i dont think i am at 50 idle no matter what voltage. temps probe on sid eof IHS says 41 load

btw. ugp: my cpu is really bad on this board too, but i dont know if its the cpu or board cause my other 3000+ got 2.5ghz at 1.625v but the abit killed it, then self destructed!

I flashed BIOS 5 times and never got vdimm options over 2.9v with Beta either, so I gave it up for the booster :confused:
