I think I now know why massman & petit didn't do better with 3D.. they were focusing on the wrong hardware :D

Holy...c;mon Thomas, you have kids man!!!! :D
We were just checking the voltages ... :(
tell me again why you pointed that picture out to me Massman... do you want confess something? :D
Articles up!
Took for bloody ever to go through and edit the pics.
If there are any discrepancies, let me know :D
Glad to see to see Vapor's GT2 tweak has finally been revealed to the masses ;)
D3D helps a tiny bit if any at least on an GTX260.... From 700MHz up to 1080MHz, I - personally - see and not see any changes and when I see, they are about 0.6 fps.....There must be something else too..... :)
Were they up?.....or down?..... :D

:rofl::rofl::rofl:
WOW!!! :eek:Bravo, very well done Patrick!
You article is incredibly thorough and well written! Thanks:clap:
Only discrepancy I found concerned our 5th mobo. It would not allow the operation of 2 GPUs at one time. The picture of the water near th NB was actually mobo #4. The 3rd PCIe slot broke when we decided to swap mobo #5 a little to hastly. Mobo 6 seemed to be doing fine, but we just didn't have enough time to do anything with it.
Thanks again, top notch journalism:yepp:
Very good article!
But, we did not use 3DM06 in preparation day. In that pic we are warming up the system We tested all 5 chips in Vantage and all did 5.1GHz+ and the best one did 5.25GHz.
On second day we were having some problems with cards and we checked 06 like 5 seconds to see if everythign is ok :D
There should be more articles like this
hipro5
 One of the BEST OC contest articles I've seen.
Other people have been reporting the same story: it's not D3D, it's not memory, it's not the triple SLI bridge (:p:). I'm really hoping to read the final answer here some day.
87FPS is just way too high for GT2 ... none of the highly overclocked GTX295's at Hwbot come even close to that number.
If you really want to know: they were up and needed to be brought down. :p:
Let alone the fact that you indeed killed that many boards ... you want the articles to be accurate regarding what board died of which cause.
Please ask MSI to invite you to MAO as comedian :p:
Nice pictures and excellent coverage :)
unless a better explanation is given this score is bugged. there is nothing like this sort of GT2 on HWBOT even with a more powerful card such as GTX295 ....... a "normal" run should not have GT1 that much below GT2 either. You'd expect GT1 to be up to 10% higher than GT2
The GT1 is actually on par with the expectations of a 4.8G 900/1950/1300 setup
