Ok, I see. You got TCCD chips on your ram, so use 2.85v option, it's safe for 24/7 anyway. You should get at least 275 fsb (550mhz) with these if they are TCCD. Try 2.5-4-3-8 timings at 2.85v and find out how far you can go with that. Try to settle around 290 fsb with HTT 3x, CPU with VID: 1.55v + 8.3% overvoltage which should give you 1.55v vcore (2610 mhz for cpu). That should be fine for stock cooling. If your winnie and ram can handle, go more than 290fsb. Remember some Neo2s have problems when you exceed 290fsb mark. Mine does 305fsb fine :DQuote:

Use Memtest to test ram stability ( press c,1,3,5,enter in memtest to loop #5 test. 50 successfull loops should equal great stability),
Prime95 ( prime for at least 2 hours. Some winnies fail this app even at stock, keep that in mind)
SuperPI (finish 16M calculation or 32M to test stability)
If everything goes well or you want more mhz's, reply
Is there any way to get around the TRFC problem? Im on a 1.36b modded bios atm and want to run 290x9 with the mem at "333" (= 238~mhz iirc..), though i can't get into windows from the bios (either resets, locks up, or gets into windows and the screen gets corrupted at the "Welcome" message) , though i can get into windows easy (and be prime stable) at 260x10, mem "333". My mem is good for 247 1:1 prime stable. LDT is set to 3x.
Im thinking that its the TRFC being set lower thats limiting me getting into windows. if i boot at 245x10, then change the memory to "MEMCLK 166" via A64tweaker and turn down the multi to 9x and crank it to 290HTT its prime stable :s I've had the board POST at 360HTT, and had it boot windows at 340HTT
Any modded bioses that get around this? (i'll sarifice the higher voltage settings for a bios that fixes this issue, i only use 10% for 24/7 usage anyway)
ty. :toast:
I just found out that it's most likely not my CPU that's at it's limit y<et but the board crapping out at HTT 285+. 300x7 isn't stable. Is there any way how i could squeeze some more HTT out of the board without getting instability?
The Chipset is watercooled so heat is no issue here.
Thanks for the help. With new memory timings I am able to take Core Center all the way up to 250FSB. Is there a way to make it go any higher than 250MHZ?
Clockgen does the job very nicely :)Quote:

Most of the BIOS should work. v1.36b mod or higher. If you got problems, go straight to v1.8 BIOSQuote:

Yep, use ClockGen to increase your speed, find max stable at certain timings and lastly set them accordingly in the BIOSQuote:

Nice HTT there :D Unfortunely, running divider decreases memory stability because it lowers TRFC timing. If you can, upgrade your ram to something like OCZ PC3200 Rev2 TCCD which does DRR630 easily, priced at $200Quote:

Thanks,
I found the Bios adjustment and was playing around.
Got it up to 285 but probably not too stable.
How do you post a screen shot?
There's a button called Prt Scr, right to the F12 button. Press it, go to the paint, edit, paste. Save as JPEG and your good to go
so "small FFT" tests mainly the cpu? or do I have this backwards??Quote:

My first post on this forum and i hope i will enjo the stay her :)
Do vx run good with the msi neo 2 palt mobbo ?
Do you know any oneno if the ocz platinum limited edition bh6 runs bad on that bord ?
Sry for my english it's kind of bad :P
no unless you buy DDR Booster, the max vdimm for neo2 is only 2.85volt
btw, pls someone answer my question...
I'v got a DDR Booster and the funny thing is that i can't get it over 210 whit any volt from 2.9 to 3.6 and any timing :confused:Quote:

Have you tried changing your memory timings?Quote:

mmm maybe your BIOS jacke2k, how about your vdimm?
9x313Mhz
I Like this Mobo!
I'v testet all kinds of bois. From 1.36b to 1.6 i think and nothing helps :(.Quote:

also.... BIOS 1.6, 1.8 beta, 1.8 mod which is the best for venice?
Jacke2k, have you tried moving the AGP frequency from 66 to 67? I have heard this helps for some K8N Neo2's.
My first post here and really like this forum :)
