Offical F5 DQ6 is up.
Well I ran WinMD5 on The F5 Bios that was released before and got taken off and the new one that got rereleased and the sum is the same so it is in fact the same file.so no need to reflash the bios.
Official F6 for DS3 is up as well - http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/M...me=GA-965P-DS3
OMG cant wait to go home and try the F5 for my DS4 :D
I think this is the first time I've been "excited" over Bios Rev notes...
F6 for DS3

EDIT: Hehe, beat me to it Zach...now I know I'm not going to bed for another hour...damnit!!
This is the reply I got from Team Xtreem tech support when I queried about RMA, as my ram wont stay stable above about ddr 650. Even though its rated ddr2-800 4 4 4 10
So what do you guys think of that reply? Everyone agree outr boards are sh1tty?!!Quote:
this is OPB, I don't think you get the point how to get it stable
DS3 basically is the wrost board I don't even wanna take a look
it got tons of problem, I don't think our 800 4-4-41- is that bad.
I mean it's up to you if you wanna rma or not , try get a good PSU, from your rig,
I don't think you WILL make any conroe system work stable
My honestly and sincerely suggestion here, I just don't wanna piss you off and don't wanna waster your time,
get real, Gigabyte 's ds3, dq6 are all :banana::banana::banana:ty board without any value. period.
I personally think its a little premature considering people over on their forums are having lots of problems with that particular ram, on a range of mobo's from different manufacturers.
fingers crossed they have fixed the coldboot "bug" , if anyone tried it yet please give info :D
lmao what great support they have :slap:Quote:

I notice we have the same PSU,
according to him I need a new one. Because its rubbish or something.... lol
**sigh**
DS3 has been one of the best OCing experiences for me. :toast: First time I've had a board that "downclocks" itself properly when in trouble.
Weird problems u have with F5 , i can select timings like 4-3-3-9 and boot
6x500 . Made a short vid about booting 6x500 save it, sorry about guality, but anyway no problems here.

turn off EIST C1 thermal throttling and all that yucky stuff UNLESS you want it to throttle downward when idle and such.
tried the F6 bios on my ds3, now i cant boot at 450. F3 is still the best for me.
I'm thinking about going back to an old BIOS as well. Using My DS3 still has trouble seeing my 150GB Raptor on a cold boot.Quote:

DQ6 driver page updated.
Why is F5 flawed for you Richard?!
The New oficial F6 bios for DS3 released today dont rise vcore to 1.42v anymore when overcloked and set Vcore Auto in bios :D

463 x 8 is 90%
i say 90% since i can bench and crunch all day long but 3dmark hardlocks my system. and i dont know why.
the official retail F6 sucks for me. now 463 x 8 is not stable.
Pi hard locks my system.
one thing i just realised is tha i have my 12v 3.3v and 5v rails on my psu overvolted so i will lower them to normal and see what happens.
if they fixed the overvolting ram then having the rails overvolted has a direct increase on vcore and vdimm. so it may be locking since its trying to lower the voltage and it cant since my rails are jacked up higher then normal.
Richard - that is odd about the fan controllers. Ever since I got my DQ6 board (with the F2 BIOS), I could never control the system fan. It was always at maximum! Not even Speedfan can adjust it.
I can ONLY auto control the CPU_FAN header.
But wait - where is the SYS_FAN header? Perhaps I'm thinking of the PWR_FAN header? What is the name of the fan header that is right next to the DIMMs, at the top (when in a tower configuration) of the board? Hmmm....
Richard, can you still control both fans with SpeedFan?
Sorry, I meant if I clock something too high in the BIOS and it doesn't take...instead of pulling out the GPU to reset the cmos jumper/get to the battery, it'll just go back to 266. Worst case...I have to hold down Insert.Quote:

PS. I love how they call them conroe. :p
F5 for my DS4 is crappy too. F5 refuses to get stable at 4-4-4-12 for my OCZ's while F3 works splendidly on the same timings. I did revert back to F3 from F5. Dang! I had high expectations with the F5 and now I am very disappointed with it.
what fsb have u got?Quote:
