There's other thread for that :D
PC3500 Level I (2-3-3) --chip--> Winbond CH-5
Is this correct? CH-5 on all Level one Mushkin PC3500
I have a gig of these but never new what chips they were due to the heat spredders, they would barely do 215mhz2-3-3-10 on my NF7 2.9V and no higher at any timmings. Now on my DFI board I did notice when I gave them 3.1V they went to 234fsb 2.5-3-3 but never pushed the voltage beyond that. If they are CH-5 how much voltage can they take and what speed is possible?
There is no need to distinguish the revision. CH5 are gone and BH5 too.Quote:

About the chip you're right, I guess people can make the difference, but it's very confusing :/Quote:

If they-re CH-5 they i'll do better... (Or maybe not all CH-5 is that great) i have some CH-5 and it does 215Mhz 2-2-2-5 @ 2.7vdimm (Didn't try higher even) (They do 2-2-2-5 @ 200Mhz with default vdimm but i get some memtest errors...)Quote:

Upped the voltage to 3.2V and 240fsb passed. I tried 3.3V with no improvement.
The major difference here is my PSU I was using a 400W Coolmax and bought a new Fortron530W on Monday, this was the first time I could get them over 215 at any timings. To think I was actually thinking about getting rid of them a while back, now there performing better than my Twinmos. Sure glad I stumbled across this thread, I'm tempted to try 3.4V, does CH-5 like the higher voltage? :toast:
Nice to have helped :P I myself am hoping that mine will do at least the same ;) (I'm waiting for my cpu to try it out :P )
G.Skill FF DDR600 isnt available yet that i have seen anywhere.
and also i have a few things to say about the OCZ PC3200 EL Plat Rev 2
you claim almost always 300+mhz.. your dreaming, your living a lie.
if you have 300+ mhz OCZ Plat rev 2 then your lucky
personally i think the ram is total crap ive had 2 kits of it and neither one would go over 290 2.5-4-4- or 2.5-3-3- 1T or 2T
2 different AMD64 systems and 2 different Intel systems.
in order to hit and go over 300mhz i had to use a 5:6 divider which is worthless..It proves nothing. and i think i had to use a 2T setting but i cant recall.
hell my OCZ EL Gold PC4000 Rev 2 did 320mhz @ 2.5-4-4-8 1T with a 9:10 divider. which is only 180mhz where as 5:6 is 166mhz
the Plat rev 2 wont do squat with a 9/10 divider.
i think you need to remove that plat rev 2 off the 300+ list and put it into a 275+ catagory. cuz after 275mhz even in single channel single stick it pukes out. although i got to 290 2.5-4-4-8 2T yes 2T well isnt that just special,, its meaningless to go 2T unless your just trying to puch your cpu ghz higher.
Just unlucky.Quote:

What this RAM chip bh-5 or UTT ? it has same Price with the VX series in japan :)
It should be bh5, never heard of any UTT doing 2-2-2 @2.8V ;)
the shop said this chip is BH5 to..acording to this picture http://ocworks.com/images/memory_ocz..._gold_chip.jpgQuote:

I'm one of the admins of the House of Help, which hosts the Official Corsair Support Forum, and we get asked which ICs are in which revision a lot. Unfortunately, the revision itself isn't enough to definitively state what IC is used, the lot # is needed as well.
CLOSED THREAD - Corsair Ram & Memory Chips Used - replaced by the next thread
IC Inquiry Thread
How To Read the Memory Label
If you would like to know which IC your memory has, just follow the instructions in the IC Inquiry Thread and post within it.
Anyway, I've been keeping a list of what ICs are used with what part #, version #, and lot # and updating it whenever an official answer is given out on that specific combo. Here are some of the tweaks/corrections/confirmations, along with how many sticks I've seen of that part # / revision # combo:
XMS-PC3200C2 Rev1.0 (2-3-3-6-1T) --chip--> Winbond CH-5 v1.0 Winbond -5 Rev C (1 stick)
XMS-PC3200C2 Rev1.1/2.1 (2-3-3-6-1T) --chip--> Winbond BH-6 v1.1 Winbond -6 Rev B (4 sticks)
XMS-PC3200C2 Rev1.2/2.2 (2-3-3-6-1T) --chip--> Winbond CH-6 v1.2 Winbond -5 Rev C (1 stick) v2.2 Winbond -6 Rev C (1 stick)
XMS-PC3200C2 Rev3.1 (2-3-3-6-1T) --chip--> Infineon Rev B -5 v3.1 Infineon -5 (2 sticks)
XMS-PC3200C2 Rev4.1 (2-3-3-6-1T) --chip--> Samsung TCCD v4.x Infineon Rev B -5 or Samsung -5 TCCX (TCC4 or TCC5 or TCCD) (9 sticks)
XMS-PC3200C2 Rev4.2 (2-3-3-6-1T) --chip--> Samsung TCCD & TCC5
XMS-PC3200C2 Rev5.1/6.1 (2-3-3-6-1T) --chip--> Mosel Vitelic 5ns v5.x Promos -5 Rev A or Mosel -5 Rev A (8 sticks)
Additions:
XMS-PC4000 Rev3.1 (3-4-4-8) --chip--> Samsung -5 TCCC (2 sticks)
As for all of the Brainpower markings on the Corsair list here:

Additions:
Added XMS PC4000 Rev. 3.1 and new OCZ PC3200 Gold with New BH5.
No problemo. However, all of those IC listings I posted were quoted from various posts from Ram Guy, Corsair's official Rep @ HoH. Search HoH for Key Word(s): tcc4 ; Posts Made By: RAM GUY. I'll email him to get a confirmation on it.Quote:

They were Samsung retail PC3200 sticks (rated @ 3-3-3-8). CAS 2 didn't work at all, neither @ 166 Mhz (on A7N8X, the same that is in signature, working perfectly @ 2-2-2-3 with GeIL Ultra-X).Quote:

That doesn't prove anything overall specifically about the IC in general, because if they may have been tested @ CAS 3 but not CAS 2. They could just be using the lower yielding ICs for that particular model, ones that test fine @ 3-3-3-8, but not at any better timings.
Anyway, still waiting for a response from Ram Guy, I'll probably get one Monday or Tuesday when he gets back into the office.
:confused: so you don't wannt to change, can't understand why :stick:Quote:

I have those sticks and the do easy 2-2-2-5 1T from fsb200 to 250 with my a64 3200+(s754),in my sig the are also @ 2-2-2-5,so why 2-3-3-7 1T.
Because 2-3-3-7 are the official timings. There are 3500C2s that cannot do 2-2-2-5.Quote:

So I'm pissed, this sucks, my PQI mem allowed me 255 without a sneeze. Tonight I am messing around and while looking at the Everest numbers I notice hey, these two sticks have diff part numbers according to this, what gives? So I check CPUZ.. yep, diff parts again, how about Sandra.. yep. I shut it down, swap sticks, same deal reverse. I shut down again and run the one stick that is the oddball which by the way is rated 2-2-2-6.. same deal part number is diff from what is on the sticker and on the website. (8928 for those that are inquisitive)
I am bored, its midnight and I have to get up for work but what the hell.. I notch them down to 1:1 2-2-5-2 everything else on auto.. raise the vdimm to 3.2 (I have active cooling on my ram, they aren't even warm.) I raise the fsb to 210.. then 220, 230. My multi is at x10 and my LDT is at 4 and this thing is running like a champ on 230 and passes memtest 5&6 twice no errors. Last night I could not squeeze 210X10 LDT 3, right now as we speak I am at 240 and will leave it overnight on Prime95 to see if it melts. I have a small problem, this phantom chip is not listed on Mushkin's site so how do I get another one of these bad boys?
The 27c is courtesy of Shin Etsu thermal paste.. I replaced my AS5 with this stuff and its a full -3c.. right now it is idling at 24c~25c. yummy.

anyone know much about Samsung TCCB chips? I have a stick of 512 that says PC2100...yet when I did a search on google, a lot of hits came up with Mushkin PC3200 DDR-400 Cas 2-2-2-5.
I may put it in and see what it'll do if that's the case.
thx
Update:
Made some additions\corrections.
I bought Twinmos PC3200, model TMII 400 and are NOT winbond.
here is some info:
0508D
TMD7608F8E501
This only have one dot at bottom right. They perform only as high as 235 no matter what juice u give them. I tried from 2.8 to 3.5 and won'0t go any higher then 235. This new Twinmos perform a lot worse and not UTT chips
