no luck .. my core 0 is weak .. core 1 runs up to 2900 on my opty 170 .. so i was normally running at 1.53 @ 2.7 cuz that what core 0 needs ... so i raised it up to 2.75 same vcore .. before the burn in k7 .. core 0 would error out in SP2004 in 5 mins .. burnt it in all night .. just core 0 .. just now i tried to run sp2004 again .. it failed in 1 min .. what the hell .. burn in makes my core 0 weaker lol
My core one I have run up to 2.8 stable but my core 0 needs 2.65 and bellow,,, I run 2.6 24/7 just because core 0 is so weak,,, I have tried burning in many nights with no help,,,,Quote:

find max before stresscpu crashes or do weird stuff or reboots. At that max, burn in your core and run two instances at teh same time. You will not be able to even watch :banana::banana::banana::banana: at that time so go to sleep or read a magazine instead. let it burn overnight. if it is really really really unstable, cpuburn will cause a reboot anyways. So lower it by 1htt and burn overnight again. Oh give it a cool off period after each burn in, turn it off and go to work or something. the following night raise it back up the 1htt and burn it overnight, if it doesnt reboot, it should be stable at that speed. Keep raising slowly and burn in.
BTW ur running at 2.85 already what more do you want man. You got a godly chip in your hands.
It's supposed to do dual prime, 2.90 @1.4V but I can't get it over 2.85@1.4VQuote:

The first 170 I owned (same stepping as yours) was exactly the same. Anything over 1.425 would send temps soaring and over 1.50 would shut it down no matter what board I had it in..... The upside was that it would run 2.4 @ 1.20v and 2.7 @ 1.40v...Quote:

Went from 2.5 to 2.6 at same voltage by burning my weaker core1 on Opteron 165. :)

hmm....im gonna try this burn in technique. some people say it works and others say its a myth. im gonna try this with my 0530 tpmw and see if it makes a difference.
my core 1 is crap so far
S&M heats up my CPU 4-5C higher than dual Burn K7. Use S&M beta with loop enabled for burn in.
I'm giving it a shot on my new 0550UPMW 165. It's doing 2.8 GHz 12 hours prime-stable @ 1.42V so far. One notch below failed prime on one core after 9 hours. Temps are HOOOOT on this chip, so as you get closer to 1.5V, heat becomes unbearable.
It primes @ 2.9 GHz for an hour or so, but it's way too hot to run at that volts - 1.48V, or so. My goal is to make it run 2.8 GHz stable 2 voltage steps below the current. I'll report back.
Ok, it's not possible to use S&M to burn it using this technique. S&M hangs the system in 5 minutes even 1 voltage notch above what is 1.5 hour prime-stable for me.
Does burn-in work underphase?
My FX60 fails prime on core0 at anything over 3.35 but core1 passes 8 hours of prime 3.5Ghz would this work under my mach????
But I can game & bench all day at 3.45Ghz:D
