Yes, they use BP808....but there is a fix!! Just use 704-2BTA

Good to see tht there is NO problem with tccd sticks :) phew. These threads abt Opty 939 sure r getting stagnent, LOL. Only a matter of time before other members get their Opties.

Looks like their will be a delay in the date I will be getting mine, the supplier told my friend tht the shipment will be coming late this week or early next week, fingers crossed.

ozzi, u seem to be making very slow progress in updating us with your result, is school holding you back so much, LOL. Maybe im too demanding with my expectations in the frequency of your posting, heheheee

I wake up everyday expecting to see some more mind boggling results only to see we r stuck on page 5 still

CF (I'm not going to get used to calling you ozzimark, sorry), what are you running your memory at in that SS of the 2942MHz SPI? I can get that time <2.8GHz, albeit with some killer TCCD (I've gotten 30 flat at 307x9 2.5-3-3-0 medium alpha timings).

i think he mentioned 133 divider on that site he linked to so that would make it 210 or so....that time seems ok considering the slow RAM.....

they're hynix, but i'm pretty sure the issue was decided to be with BP808 :D

and yeah.. i am being slow, my apologies. i have classes and such, things to do. i'm trying to sell off my old rig to buy some new parts for this one.. like a video card :toast:

Hey I have some good news,

I will very soon be the proud owner of a Opty 146

:D

My local supplier @ CpuCity.co.uk has managed to get hold of a few of these early!!!! One has gone to a friend of mine and one is coming to me in Cyprus. It will take arnd a week to get here but rest assured I will be relaying my results as sson as I get my chip.

For the record, the UK chips at the store are 0530APMW the same as ozzimark and the Japanese overclockers. The one my friend is getting was thrown straight into a mobo and ive been told worked straight @ 3Ghz!!!

I will find out the details of the run i.e. heatsink/voltage and stabilty and post here. My friend could even has his tomorrow!!!!!!! I will get him to post his results. He already has a killer Venice (just like the one i had be4 it died, 2.9Ghz+ prime stable) so maybe he could do some clock 4 clock benchies.

Ok thts it for now, and peeps get posting, LOL

Very cool. But 2 observations. Why everyone are using dividers with your overclocks? Still opteron has problems with TCCD or UTT (like OCZ VX o mushkin redline) ?

And anybody knows if Opteron 939 is compatible with nforce 3 motherboards like DFI NF3 or MSI k8N Neo2?

Good news dude....I hope the Australian chips are week 30 as well......Our ETA is 1-2 weeks so there'll be a :banana::banana::banana::banana:load of us getting these....lot of us with multiple CPUs on order as well for some Opty raping :woot:
