great job OPP, can't wait to see the final runs !
Once again the master goes to work.
"since 2k1 is about to be phased out"
there was a thread on that but a mod replied and said "we have no plans to discountinue 2001" then he locked it. anyway Opp, hows sli going for the 2001 side? ;)
What score could you get with SLI in 2K1, maybe 43k, 44k, 45k? Make the trifecta of #1 for each benchmarks.
SLI doesnt work in 01
Sli is working in 2001, check out here
http://www.beyond3d.com/reviews/nvid...ndex.php?p=app
and also the NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series GPU section in the ORB for dragothic and nature.
It seems that nvidia have chosen alternative frame rensdering for 2001 but as you can stop 3dmark2001 between tests I wonder if it possible ( and quicker ) to maybe run part in SFR and part in AFR ? I don't have SLi so I do not know, might be an interesting tweak though.

Andy
That's interesting, I posted about this hereQuote:

however I tended to think the review was messed up, however this review seems to back it up.This being the case then I would imagine the more overclockable Iwill board is the one to go for ? http://www.iwill.net/product_2.asp?p_id=91&sp=Y
For 2005 this does look like the thing to have at present.

SLI works in 3d2k1 but only minute boost in first 3 tests, it nature that gets the big SLI boostQuote:

Does running SLI lower the scores in the first three tests compared to a single X800? If not then someone needs to try an FX-55 run on SLI.
Eva, drag low gets a good boost as well does it not ?

gives 750fps at 430/1260 with 75.90 drivers ?????? It cannot all be cpu power here ...

Andy
yeah all tests get a boost but never paid attention as to how much.. but nature definitely gets a BIG boost
It does tend to put everything else in the shade :)Quote:

Have you tried changing between SFR and AFR between tests ? Or is AFR best for all ?

You know lookin at that I would say SLI has a very good chance at '01 in the right hands. That run has alot of CPU speed but either he did not tweak it out, or SLI might be stealing CPU power but I doubt it. Those car runs are very low for that system. My S754 cars are alot faster than that.Quote:

how you change SFR/AFR ? nhancer tool has 3dmark2001 profile shaded out uneditable in latest forceware drivers
Sweet you learn something knew everyday :D Drag and nature seem to be doing well with sli
Cascade's have pretty much owned the top of the records before, i predict they will own the top of the records to come. No refilling cascades. So maybe that's a small advantage.
40k and 'only those clocks' ?? You can do 42k w/ one ATI card and lower CPU speed. SLI just seems to use a bit too much CPU power in 2001. also if I remember correctly running one 6800U is faster than running SLI in 3DMark03 GT1 (the most CPU limited test in Mark03).Quote:
i'm sure it's only the cpu that is holding back the sli power in al test exept nature because nature is only gpu speed dependend...maybe FX55 @ 4000mhz can do something nice

40K with SLI and only those clocks...gues i was right
Hes using winblows xp, need I say anymore? :stick:
Sli doesn't work on win2k ;)Quote:

tnx in advance.
if nvidia is so dumb to omit drivers to run sli in win2k, they have lost alot of customers, I dont believe this is true
Well, I tried a few times with fresh win2k installations and I can't make it work, each time I enable SLI and reboot a message appears on the nvidia icon taskbar saying something like "SLI has been disabled, one of your displays will go blank and bla, bla, bla...", no way.
And, if after that, I try to open display properties, the mouse suddenly goes slow as hell, all the system runs slooooooooow and after some minutes where you can't do nothing, freeze.
just wait until the new WHQL 71.84 are approved. those give huge boost in SLI.
