That could look cool. One other thing, if you want to be able to change in the future, is that you could just use LED's to light the thing. I've never tried this, but putting some sort of diffuser on it might give a nice effect :shrug:Quote:

I would suggest just buffingthat lovely aluminum out with Simichrome or Fliitz or whatever you like and a soft cloth. Helluva lot cheaper than paint. And it might be right up your alley :D Time consuming, tedious, but in the end completely awe inspiring. There is no finer finish IMO than polished aluminum.

You can see mine here which is a alphacool cape bullseye because they didnt have the aquatube in alluminum back when I did the build and I made a custom front plate for it out of a scap lian li side panel to match the case. But I hate that res... does nothing cool and is a pain to bleed.

another note. Dremels and Routers work ALOT better with circle jigs for making holes then a jigsaw. And yes local CNC shops are expensive for hobby stuff like this. A plate I made for a rad mount/grill cost me ~$200 to make including laser cutting, brushing, anodizing. After the fact I found a shop that would have done it all for ~$80 but yeah...

That res face plate looks great.
I have a router too, but haven't tried it on aluminum.
I can't imagine cutting all the fan holes with a dremel, would take
forever not to mention the cost of the disks that I hear last a few
minutes.
I'm going to be making a whole new front of the case and will try the
router on a scrap piece, if it works out good it will save me hours of
filing and sanding.

With the right bits you can do anything with a dremel and router. Bits for metal can get costly and hard to find but it is definitly worth it IMO. Once you cut one hole with a circle jig and a router you will wonder why you ever did it with a jigsaw lol.Quote:
