I noticed a similar problem on my board. I never tried bios 0402 but i did use 0505 and 0701. With those two i would get the same problem that is said to be fixed in the "fixed problems" list for the bios.

When i moved anywhere above 1200 FSB all Vcore voltages would read 1.25v, no matter what i set in the bios. This would happen until i set over 1.6v vcore in the bios where it would start reporting voltages normally. If i was under 1200FSB all the bios vcore settings would read properly.

I didn't know where the measuring points are so i couldn't confirm the real Vcore but my overclocks were really bad. I RMA'd the board and i'm waiting for a new 1 to come so i can test it out again.

I've heard of this problem before. I don't really remember where but I remember if u install the drivers in a certain order it would fix the problem. There was also some other fix for it too. It shouldn't be that hard 2 find the solution if u search around the forums.

What kinda fan are you putting on the NB? Like how many CFM is the fan?
Can we see some pics of your actual H20 set up?

Fan for stock heatpipe was 120x25mm 75cfm fan which sat on top of my 2x 8880GTS SLI and over hung the NB stock heatpipe blowing down on NB/SB and video cards.

H20 setup is basically this same setup even still in the office paper tray still (below) but swapped out Acetal Maze4 GPU block for Apogee block

For me on striker, 0402 is best bios still for cpu/vcore related clocking.

Does anyone know the voltage measuring points for vcore, vdimm, nb volts, etc.?

I would just like to get some real numbers to have a better understanding of where I need to set my volts. Especially since 802 bios gives you real until you 1333 strap.

haha the 1333 strap is WayyYYy to low imo. rather stick to 0402. i went dwon from 0802. anyway.. the points are the same as the p5n32 but i'll talk to shamino regarding the vcore. one. the striker has all the points filled up compared to one less for the p5n32. so here are the points

Added a 4x 80GB Hitachi 7K80 SATAII raid 0 array to the Asus 680i Striker Extreme since nVidia chipset natively supports 6x SATAII ports :)

Man, that's some amazing through-put; I've never seen numbers that high (330mb/s); is this very common? And my simple 250gb WD gets 50 - 60 by comparison; just amazing.

Yeah it's common for 4x SATAII disk raid 0 on Nvidia chipsets got same throughput on DFI NF4 boards too with AMD64 s939 :)

eva2000: Are you still on the 0402 bios? If so, is there a cold boot problem with this bios? Or a cold boot problem with the board regardless of bios?

Never had a cold boot problem with any of the bioses for my striker but only tried 0302, 0402, 0505, and 0701 bioses.. still 0402 best for me as vcore scales with increased vcore options

It is possible to set 1.9 Volt but in real it is ~1.4 Volt ???

Don't set 1.9v unless you want to FRY your cpu.

It might still say 1.4v but its not worth trying.

Just use manual measure point to see real vcore.

You are experiencing vcore-to-strap locking.
Use BIOS 0402.

Try any voltage setting in ya bios below 1.6 volts Vanovich you will see it doesn't change when you read it out, due to your high overclock it results surpassing several straps and locking down ya vcore. Indeed I noticed once I went over 1.6 volts in the bios I got 1.47 volts given to the core again at 3600mhz and it was changeable, but I knew the CPU only needed 1.44 to be stable on the P5W. I backed down to 0402 bios ( thnx Loods and EVA2000) and put 1.52 volt in the bios which results in 1.42 ( A real droop there) and that's orthos stable and cooler then the 1.47V otherwise. if I didn't set the voltage at 1.6 in the bios ( 0701 and 0801) it would result in 1.39 volts and that crashed orthos in minutes.... Hope anew bios really helps us to give voltage control back otherwise a real happy Striker user...

how are you taking the read out? couse in prøbe mine is showing 1,6 and 1,58 load.can also get prøbe to show 1,65 if volt is set higher in biose .
