Hope to be able to handle well 3 pots:eek::)
^^^ Goodluck there man.. 3pots LN2 action should be good fun :D
Any updates nachty?
So sexy ...
Maybe NeverMore should screw phase change and do LN2, lol. ^_^
Anyone have luck with this pot on dry ice? I picked up 20 lbs of the stuff and tried all sorts of combinations, was a nightmare pulling anything lower than -40C base temps. Waiting on that LN2 dewar to arrive to truly unleash the potential in the design.
Was using 95% alcohol which works just fine with my GPU pots.
Sweet so everything got there safe and sound. You should ask dinos about DI/acetone in this pot, pretty sure he ran it. Probably really wet mix. I won't recommend any way to run it with DI ever because thats not what it is made for :D. Good luck with your LN2 runs...hope you like the temp control
The base is too thickness for dry ice, but for LN2 seems great and everybody that used it can confirm :)
NEWS FLASH! In an unrelated story, several metro Atlanta welding supply shops have suddenly had all of their LN2 stores depleted.....Here's Dan with the sports!
... and has now started a cult and is handing out the cups as "refreshments"
why not show with a video example heh

Sweet update on the hold Vince...
Bad first time with 3 pots:(
Huge problems with Cold bug cpu and vga:(
Unfortunately after waste 15L of LN2 I've decided to stop the bench:(
Not easy to handle well 3 pots:D
This is my only screen taked during the warming up, I would like to run some nice '03 but freeze every time during GT3:shrug:

yeah the f1ee is just the stronge'st pot for holding high load's :D , bench my old EVO 2.2 with ln2 on a E6850 the compare is so great :D . needed the cola trick to get some less temps swings , the f1ee is just fill up and bench :D .
vince any change of u bringing out a chipset pot (small version of the F1ee :D)
Im working on some new things that will be available in the not so distant future blind :) NB cooler is one.
Check this out...this is really huge deal for my units guys. The influence and inspiration that started a world away and years ago for me has now come around FULL circle.
I am so honored to be sending out this LN2 legend an F1ee. It means alot and probably as much or more than any 3d score ever did to me. Team Japan is the main reason why I do everything. I owe so much to these guys. Have fun with your F1 duck :D
http://overclockingpin.com/duck-f1.jpg
It does it FINE though :D
I have seen -69c° at 25 c° ambient and -72c° at 29c° Amibent.
The hotter it gets the better the acetone works I belive.
AND this was with large pellets just crushed with a hammer :D
I dont think so, Only takes forever if you don't use allot of acetone.
Sure it is NOT good for your brain to use that much acetone, but that is what a fan and open window is for :D
I cant help but smile when reading that ;)
GREAT to have somthing that makes you glad and continue the great work :D
The Duck Edition looks good :D
doing the happy dance :DQuote:

You will see the power of this beast:eek::D
That sounds great - I would even trade my g/f for one. (Hopefully she doesn't read this post, otherwise I am in trouble hehe :D)
Where Can I get thing like this??
Or allmost as good as Dragon F1 :D

Your on fire Nachty  Bet you are a pro at pouring already.
Good chip 2.
Are those voltages a bug, or is it really like that?
It's a bug.
nachthymnen -> :clap:
Vince -> Your F1 never stop to surprising us with it's possibilities :rocker:
Tks my friend:)
Using your pot is like a drug for me:D
With the Dragon I can run a 3d '05 in a 2° range, between -150 and -152:eek::up:

:clap::clap::clap:
I think he has disabled it.. but still its a rocking performance by F1EE and Nachthymnen once again. Congrats man on 6Ghz club
I can't believe how long this thing stays cold. And like everybody says, when you find the right temp zone, very easy to keep it there. This was my first LN2 tonight - I love it!
Tx for the awesome pot!

Nice mrcape, glad your up and running. Nice pot for sure, me next purchase. Enjoy
Thanks loc.o! You will love this pot I bet. I have no working experience on any other pot to compare it to, but I was by myself, first time, and it seemed pretty damn easy to keep it in the zone.
Now I just have to remember to set up my drives/OS better, get my tweaks in order, and take screen shots that include cpuz so I can submit.
One thing I can't really imagine doing alone is 3 pots at once.
Sweet work cape, good to see some pics...
Keep pushing it...
Someone have test this fantastic pot with celeron or wolfdale ?
Thanks
It works flawless with wolfdale...
U can put everything underneath it and it will likely just keep cooling it...
I think it's safe to say this pot is good for Wolfdale -

Cool pics man and awesome work...are you sure you are new to this LN2 thing?? :D
This is cool.. Seeing and helping new OC'rs bench with the gear and getting results like you guys get is where it's at for me now. I remember what it was like when this was all new for me. I'm really happy for you man, keep tearing it up
I benched yesterday for the first time on ln2 with a friend, he has also a F1 EE and it was very easy we did a superpi 32M run, and I could easy hold the cpu around -100 degrees celcius. And it was the first time a pourd ln2. I bought a dewar from him and I can't wait till my F1 EE is here:D
Benching on ln2 is so cool!
So true, when u first have played with ln2 @ u are addicted...
Dueling dragons! Great pots Vince. (XC)Gomeler and I got good use of them this past weekend
Here's some images from my last bench session. Benching in Georgia is like benching in a steam bath, over the course of 9 hours I had to disassemble, warm up, dry, and reassemble my setup 4 times due to the amount of condensation that forms on the exterior of the insulation. Was benching my QX @ 5400MHz and the E8400 @ 5200MHz for an overclocking demonstration. This is why I kill so much hardware...

Yeah, all we needed was some flavoring and we could have served Sno-Cones.
Or you could try insulating better ;)
haha man Chris... tim and myself get WAY more humidity here... i just didnt show pics of it yet!
but even with more buildup because of 10 hr straight benching... i dont need to off a single time to dry up...
u might wanna try not using frost king but rather sheet insulation for the cpu gaskets? last i knew u were using frost king as first layer :) if i am not wrong Portugal... ricky and odjr insulates the TOP of the pot as well... helps in a way i guess!
for me i start the towel wrapping right at the top. covering the entire insulation and holddown. springs and screws on top included. helps also if i may add!
just some suggestions for ya! otherwise great work and hope to see ya sooN!
Well I'm hoping to be able to achieve 0% humidity in my benching chamber, just pump it full of dry nitrogen. Think I'll start using frost king for the first layer and then a thick piece of armaflex above that. Need to find some thicker insulation for the F1 also, gotta hit up the refrigeration shop for some 1" or thicker tubing  Hope to see you also, maybe I'll get invited to Taipei ;)
@gomeler, try making insulation like us (serbian xtreme team).. Look at the pics, no condensation at all ;)

http://www.fotorola.com/uploads/84e9f37bcd.jpg
http://www.fotorola.com/uploads/3f377adec1.jpg
Use the simple toilet paper to wrap around the arma ;) This was a nice session, too bad the mobo was crap (maximus II formula)...
I insulate the socket in a similar manner and then use 3 layers of shop towels, guess I'll just use half a roll next time ;)
Gom, dont just use the towel as layers at the bottom.
The major source of water at the base of your pot (=socket) is from condensation forming further up on the pot. Stop this and you get waaaay longer sessions.
I use a single layer of paper towel over my foam layer on the socket, then put on my pot and wrap it in a couple layer of paper from head to toe including hold down area.
After that im using a thin layer of foam sheet wrapped around the entire lot.
See my avatar for the end result. :)
My setup run like that without any setbacks for 5hrs+ every time, in Singapore thick humidity and 26C ambients.
Cool pics mike...Hey you guys insulate the F1 like this, you will prevent alot of problem. I can run for hours like this with only one single shop towl wrap aroun d the OUTSIDE of the rods and holdown. If uyou do it just like this, you wont have any problems I promise. No need for anymore BS than what you see really. So there is small foam gasket around socket/between caps. Than one paper towel doughnut, then foam doughnut with cutout for unit on top of the cpu. put unit on top with tubular insulation on it, and your done.
http://overclockingpin.com/f1-wrap.jpg
Exactly Vince, we use masking tape and paper and thats it...
So easy and clean, once ag. thanks to Newbeetle-san for the inspiration...
Hey Vince, how do you find the NB water cooling on the RE?
Mine doesn't seem that effective at 49-50C loaded 1.65V, so considering removal of the HS assembly and going direct to the IHS
Thanks for the tips guys. In addition to the other stuff, I use the liquid electical tape. It's good stuff and easily removed if needed. I use that along with the towels and Frost King.
F1 arrived to Monday :D
Thanks kIngpIn ;)

Home hand Lapping :D
F1 POT was difficult very heavily
http://i.blog.empas.com/freeman2580/...1_1024x768.jpg
Nice pics again. Anyone else notice how this unit roars like hell with E8600/-160c/2v+? The beatdown it puts on a E8600 @6550mhz 3D two cores is unreal. You can run one of these cpu's at full load with the container just about empty most of the time :D
So true Vince, gem e86s and f1ee is crazy mix up.
When we have arranged our boards, we will play with couple of e86s with ur pot,
Keep them comming
and u put in little "keyword" someone will get brake jaws over uh? ;)
I've run a complete 3D01 run at 6GHz before with a single pour. Start of Car Low I had the base down to -110C with maybe 2 ounces of LN2 into it. By the end of the run it was around -85C and still stable. I had walked away to make a quick snack and forgot I was benching 3D01  Fantastic pot Vince, makes even the absent minded bencher successful
edit: I guess it also helps that my chip does 6GHz with 1.78v
 NiceQuote:
How about barbqueing a cheeseburger while you benching for 01 wr??
I'm not even kidding
So.. decided to try Vince's method with the paper towel around the mount.. epic fail :D This is after 2 hours benching an E8600 at -110C with 1.78v @ 6GHz 3D01-05. So.. I think I need to insulate the entire board in spray foam  Next up is T_M's method

Need to build my benching chamber asap, surprised this board hasn't died yet with ~15 3-hour runs like this. Georgia humidity doesn't play around.
Wow [XC] gomeler, I was really worried that I was going to have issues here in Arkansas with humidity, but that takes the cake. Impressive show of what the hardware can take though.
I dont understand how you get water all over the board like that. I can run at -165c loaded for hours and hours and hours and those areas of the board that have water droplets all over them in your pic like the ps2/ethernet/usb ports and pwm heatsinks never even get cold the slightest bit...in fact they stay warm to to the touch. The whole motherboard does excepte maybe 1/2 inch outside the foam. That picture is really puzzling
Are you using air conditioning or dehumidifier at all down there when you bench?
@gomeler..
bro just fit :banana::banana::banana: loads of high cfm fans everywhere blowing at every possible angle.. thats what i do..
how. you don't insulate the board? jejeje only a paper towel arround the pot and cpu? or you add samething more?
I've got almsot 200 gallons of fish tank in my house... I slightly-cold glass looks like Gom's board.
Hope to join you guys soon with my own pics...some real nice pics in here!
There's a half inch of insulation between the board and the paper towel and then the pot goes on top of that assembly with a square cut out for the base of the F1EE. F1EE itself has the original pipe wrapping and then another 3/4" layer of insulation around it
Room temp was 77-79F the entire time. Welcome to the south  I'll stop derailing the thread with images of benching in the swimming pool that is Atlanta :ROTF:
I had removed the fans for the picture, need more fans though. I have a solution for this problem though.. be back in 2 weeks
New toys, thanks a lot Vince
