TankGuys I order yesterday before lunch & had a tracking number late/early morning before I went to bed. Great work TankGuys!
Hasn't been picked up by Fedex yet, but that's ok. At least I know someone is trying.
Very good communication & helpful.
Thanks TankGuys!
P.S. dang, when do you guys sleep? lol
Yup. I ordered from ZZF on 8/2 (just before the clubit deal), and got a B3 from batch L649G864. Bummer. I guess I am going to keep it as ZZF refused to waive the $45 restock fee. I asked even before it was delivered so they knew it was unopened and they still refused. Maybe they knew it was a SL9UM and didn't want it back that badly... I'd be lucky to get $275 for it on ebay.
FYI: It's likely that the label was just generated, not shipped yet. Unless you got an e-mail showing your order status as "order shipped" then it hasn't gone out yet, and won't until Monday. We are pre-generating all the labels and such now, so that we can spend the whole weekend re-packing and shipping your orders. This way, we hope to have them all out by Monday morning.
Lately? Never :D
Yeah!:D
well there it is, straight from the horses mouth, so i guess most of us will have them wed or thurs.
Just got mine from Newegg.
B3. Pack date 6/22/07 :(
^^^ should have waited....but they are good at taking returns...
I ordered from NCIX when everyone was saying they got GO's.
Before the reports that some were still getting b3's . I paid about $320
for it with shipping, and of course it was a B3. I decided to try it out
and I got 3.6 prime stable out of it. But i ordered a G0 anyway and will
have it tomorrow.
The b3 was a L712A200
Emmett
G0 from NEWEGG 5min ago!!!
ohhh yeahhhh
come on...be more specific!
yeah.. just got delivered from newegg.. i ordered it yesterday overnight shipping.. couldnt wait.. lol
damn.. temp is super low compare to B3
hmm iam in the market for a new place, newegg would be a crapshoot for sure.
tank guys or club it it is i guess
clubit site is down! lol must be due to G0
I ordered from ClubIT last night. I just called them (1:30 PST) and they said they were briefly out of stock but got some in today so it ships out today. The Web site reports them as in stock again.
Edit: Shipped today.
w00t got my Q6600 from tank guys!
Too bad I can't play with it, hafta sell my Q6700 first :/ Don't wanna get stuck with 2 opened CPU's and can't sell either of them lol.
Batch L724A760
Pack date: 7/27
any results from 6600's from clubit yet? mine comes tomorrow and i was wondering what i should be trying for (if i get same batch, of course)
Don't get too excited. I am reading many reports of people saying the temp may actually be 10-15C higher then what is shown.
Curios on your results. I'm betting the batch numbers for all pre-orders will be very close.
Not so sure getting a B3 is necessarily a bad thing. People here in the forum are getting 3.6ghz out of em. Of course it's still the luck of the draw. But just because you got a B3 does not mean it's gonna be a crapper.
i can push my B3-Q6600 to 3.7 Ghz but i have to juice it to maintain it....at 3.6, it is not very high vcore (at least by my standards;)), 1.54-1.55v actual.
I think mb will play a very big part in the oc on a quad. The 6600 G0 from Clubit doesn't take many volts but sure isn't cool to the touch. I don't have a good mb now and hate to buy one until the 38's arrive.
got 1 from club it
To RMA a perfectly good CPU is dishonest if you have already opened and used it. If it didn't overclock like you wanted to that's not intel's problem and not the vendors problem. This kind of thing just raises the price of CPU's for the rest of us. I RMA'd a CPU before because i checked results others were getting by the batch code. So... unopened i RMA'd the processor. Now the vendor can still sell it at full price as it's been unopened. Just my two cents on that type of practice. That's assuming you are running at stock volts. Now overvolting the chip and overclocking and THEN returning it is just downright criminal.
On another note i REALLY wish i had paid for faster shipping for my 'G0' from tankguys. Fedex has scheduled delivery for 8/14 :( . Bummer.
I got my G0 from NCIX today. Everything else that was left at the location I was at (Richmond) was B3. Beware!
O/C results later.
I do not see anything wrong with it if:
The seller offers returns with a restocking charge, like Newegg. If it is defective at Newegg, you cannot get a refund. If you look at the open-box items at Newegg you will see they do not discount them much.
The thing I do not like is guys tearing up hardware oc'ing and then RMA'ing it as defective.
Where have you seen the open-box hardware that goes so cheap?
Quote:
Newegg:
An RMA refund is a request for a refund of the purchase price (view warranty information). If the product you wish to return is defective, you may only request an RMA repair.
* All RMA refunds are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
you need to stop pre-judging others for a simple statement like he RMA'd a cpu with no restocking fee...ALL of us here understand that an open CPU box is accepted back as a return but you are subjected to a restocking fee....when you return without a restocking fee, it generally has to be a dead cpu or the cpu box has not been opened.
got my g0 from clubit today, its a l723a841. I've been running it on my DS3 and it's not doing well at all. Sure I will have better results with my premium that comes tomorrow :/
got a GO Quad 6600 from Clubit yesterday L723A841. Will be mating this with a P5k premium soon.
Have another GO coming from Tankguys soon also
Lolers at all the quad core fanboys lately! you guys are going to be sorry when you didnt wait for the real quad core in just a few months that is going to trash the current one! LOL!
 :ROTF:
Ok, I think the default mounting on the Ultra-120 ET is too soft. Check out this discrepancy.
Is it normal to have a difference of 8 degrees between Core0+1 and Core2+3?
i think you are in the wrong area for that post...why don't you post that over in Air Cooling section...a good topic to talk about over THERE.;)
zipzoomfly refused to take mine back without a restocking fee and it is unopened. They knew it was unopened because I called about canceling/RMA before the cpu had been delivered. I was rather courteous and even offered to pay a reduced restock fee, but no... They are very inflexible in my experience.
I would certainly expect a restocking fee if it were opened because they would have to sell it open box.
BTW, my Q6600 G0 shipped from ClubIT today via FedEx.
Wish me luck. :)
Good point. The top performing B3 quads had no q6700 bin to fall into so the B3 q6600s had some robust chips. On the other hand there is the possibility that a healthy portion of B3s are the weak performers that just made the cut.
Interestingly, the presence of the new Q6700 might actually guarantee, via the binning process, that the G0 Q6600s will not include the true top performing quads, which will end up in the Q6700 bin. Of course the q6700s are probably a much much smaller portion of the market that it hardly keeps the q6600 G0 bin down... That is probably just a steaming pile of BS to rationalize contentment with a B3, but it sounds nice to me.
Ha ha ha, who am I kidding, I'm was never planning on pushing 3.0GHz in the first place! :lol2: I'd probably not know the difference between the two chips had I not heard about the new stepping and subsequently obsessed over getting one. Sheesh.
And lolers, you have the money to buy a 45nm when it drops? If not gtfo and stop trolling. 6 posts and all of them are smack talk, and you have yet to have anything constructive or have any listing or pics of your rig and what your running with to talk everyone elses purchases down.
loler, i really dont buy anybodys crap about real quad core or fake quad core, have seen the damn preformance difference between dual core and quad in multi threaded applications, u bet it is twice as fast a dual core clocked at the same speed, so to me it sounds like quad core is a quad core as long as it has four cores, whether it be real or fake, everyone here is reporting their purchase and some are showing their results,
and yes i have ordered my G0 quad from clubit which will be here next week, and i am happy i did, and when 45nm comes around i will upgrade cuz thats just me, my cpu is always up to date.
and the only major difference with the 45nm is going to be more cache and sse4 support, thats about it, let people be happy with their purchase because its their money.
and yea i always thought it was stupid to buy the xtreme chips and i also thought people were stupid who bought them but only until i had the extra cash to buy one, i realized if u got the cash ur purchase is never stupid, hey one of my xtreme chips made me happy.
It's the latter that i am talking about and you know it! What forum are we in? Are we to believe someone RMA's a processor because they just 'didn't like it'? It was overclocked. Didn't overclock high enough(after putting ample voltage through it) and then returned. Nuff said.
Just so you know its sitting there in the unopened retail box, I wouldnt RMA something I opened that worked perfectly fine.
well honestly i wouldnt rma something open boxed either, but if i really had to rma it i would let the company know, i ordered a processor once from mwave.com and i got the b3 stepping quad core and i really wanted to return it because it was a b3 and i told the guy straight up that i just wanted to return it because its not a g0 stepping, and u know what he was cool, and said u do a lot of business with us and i respect the fact tha u told me that its fine and he will take it back, he told me that he doesnt like the fact people telling them its defective, if u do a lot of business with one company they would take anything back to keep u as a customer, i believe u just have to tell them the truth, i have ordered plenty from mwave.com, and they have always respected my business, and i have never lied to them about a product being defective, if i am not satisfied they will take it back.
VAdept i believe that he was just referring to any person who just wants to return it just because it didnt overclock well or they would tell them its defective to just return it. i am sure it wasnt directly pointed at u.
as i said, if i dont like something i will tell them straight up, or if i got a b3 instead of a g0 i would tell them, and actually the customer service guy called me to keep me as their customer and said he would approve the rma just because i do a lot of business with them and he would like to keep me as their customer. i actually thought they wouldnt take it back but u know what they have won my business, yes i might not get a g0 stepping from them, but i always purchase most of my stuff from them, and thier prices are actually better than newegg.com in most cases. they have a really nice warehouse in california. i used to be a newegg customer and i still am, but the fact i can just drive 20mins and pick up my order from mwave.com is very convinient. they have a great customer service, if u do lots of business the are second to none in customer service.
any resullts from a clubit g0 yet? there are very few results posted from these q6600 g0's so far, from any source. when the c2d's dropped, there were results everywhere. there are some here and there, but not enough to get a clear idea if they are any better than the b3, or any idea of what the average oc is. they have been available for a couple weeks now. mine comes today. i will be definitely posting my results tonight after i get home.
trust me:D..."G0" in the Q6600 flavor are overclocking very well...it would be a rare bird;) if it did not!
you sound like you are new at overclocking and you probably have not done a search of this forum to see how high of overclock you can expect from a Q6600...first of all, you can check my signature...now, here is a post from a guy who is getting good success from his "G0" Q6600...there are success stories all over this forum...just do the work to find out.

So far, 3.610 Ghz (401x9) stable on AIR at 1.38 vcore real (1.4250v bios).
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=154533
FWIW there is a Q6600 G0 OC'ing thread. Having said that I'll give you some prelim results here as I don't think I've finished pushing things enough yet to post there. I have my ClubIT L723A841 @ 3.8GHz Prime stable w/1.48V loaded on water in Abit IP35 Pro. I think the guy with the DS3 waiting on P5K Premium with the same stepping is in for a pleasant surprise.
And yeah, agree with Ace-a-Rue, I don't think there are many duds. With the luck I normally have I would have one.
ClubIT G0 came today, one day after I ordered 3-5 day shipping. I don't know about the guy slamming ClubIT, rated like 9.8 on resellerratings.com, and schmoozing Tankguys. Mine came in a day, no waiting in line for a week. ClubIT did me right.
SLACR L721A814 7/31/07
Won't be able to install/test until 8-17 build.
Meh. Just got a B3 from Getmore.dk
i dont think getting a g0 from clubit should be any different than getting a g0 from anywhere else. they should all overclock same, i really think that g0 stepping is really overclockers dream so far, i didnt see many people overclocking quads to 3.8 on air or even on water before this stepping, i ended up ordering one from clubit.com, and i will update when i get it.
I agree with you, but I understand some concern about which vendor since different retailers have had different batches, so potentially the vendor could matter. Not a real concern IMO since so far it really doesn't seem to matter what batch as long as it's G0, as you said.
I just installed my Q6600 that I ordered from Tankguys and it is as follows.
L724A760
Pack Date 7/27/07
Core Temp vid is 1.2625v
Running at stock speeds right now, the temps are way off because the chip is running cooler than room temp, but we all knew that.
I've received my 18 from ClubIT, still waiting on my 6 from tankguys. I've got all L723A841s from CIT as of yet. Not sure what TG is sending....or when !?!
Just got an email from tankguys, seems like they were selling vaporware. Canceling my 6.
My first and last time ordering from them, seems like they need to get it together a little better.
i got this letter tonight from tankguys :(
The comments for your order are
Our shipment of Q6600s arrived tonight, as planned. Despite our being told
they were G0s, all of them were B3s. As such, we have been forced to delay
shipping to customers until we can source more confirmed G0s.
We have been working extremely hard to get these chips in as quickly as we can,
and have done everything we can to keep you updated as changes happen.
Given this incredibly disappointing turn of events, we will refrain from posting
any ETA until we have G0s in hand, so we can absolutely confirm a ship date.
We are extremely sorry about this delay, and we will continue to work extremely
hard to secure the G0s, as promised.
We will likely be swamped with e-mails and questions, so please bear with us if
we are slow to respond.
Your order has been updated to the following status.
New status: Back Order [PAID]
Please reply to this email if you have any questions.
yeah...disappointing but they are above board and they communicate to their customers...that means ALOT in my book!
they are at the bequest of their distributor....sounds like the distributor doesn't know what they are doing..or..they are short changing TG's!
wow tankguys are trying very hard, and i feel really bad for everyone and even tankguys, its not easy being screwed over. i really dont know where the heck clubit is getting all these g0's from, they seem to have them instock everyother day. they must have more connections i guess.
small businesses have less clout than the bigger ones.
wow, my g0 is running HOT. I am doing 3.5ghz with 1.35v and its running at 74c on my tuniq :/
i presume you are priming.
yea i like tank guys they have excellent customer service. too bad i canceled and went over to clubit. since they said they had them in stock. tank guys dont have and ETA. but i will do business with them again
its a tuniq tower / also tried with my old ninja with the same result
have you lapped either heatsink?...i do not lap the IHS since that is an illusive proposition with getting desired results...you get better results concentrating on the bottom of the heatsink.
are you running the fan on the tuniq at full speed?
are you priming in the case?...have you tried taking the side cover off to see how much difference it makes?
For some reason preorders don't seem to work out. Remember the Yonah preorder?:(
Anyone know what the batch numbers [or newest ones] coming from ClubIt are?
i just got mine from clubit - slacr, l723a795. the vid is 1.088v.
thats an extremely low VID. I'm curious on the difference between that and the ones with 1.2x VID
whoa! That's insane... I guess lower VID really does mean higher temps are ahead. Recheck your HSF install before making any rash conclusions.
reported wrong. vid is 1.2000v, which is still pretty low, tho. hs/f is ok. small possibility it could be 680i.
it could be the bios reporting incorrectly...even if it is coretemp, there is no guarantee that it is right with this new step!
man i really hope i dont get a chip that runs that hot from clubit when i order in a few days.......
so i guess the general idea is Low vid may yield a higher OC, at a cost for oven like temps.
Low VID = high leakage bin -> steeper curve of power consumption when overvolting/clocking
Still no word on Euro availability?
:\

No, I am reselling and making money. The US is a capitalist society and we're all trying to make money. I'm a business, LLC to be exact, and I'm with everyone else trying to make a dollar. I'm actually just trying to pay for my home machine to be upgraded.
I hope you don’t have a problem w/ business!?! TankGuys bought 150 of them. What's wrong w/ my 24?
Check eBay for g0s, there are a few of them on there.
Yes, I have a problem with it. There is a difference between getting them from a distributor and buy them when a item first comes out and making a buck because of lack of availability. This happened before on XS and I posted the same thing before.
If you can feel good about what your doing then you have to live with it, just don't come here posting about how you bought or tried to buy 24 cpu's to resale on ebay when members here couldn't get theirs.
I am an old American and sometimes because something is legal or "the American way" doesn't make it right.;)
