This is what my occt vcore looks like after the 7b bios. I'm curious as to which bios comes stock on the 1.1 revision

Once the Vcore is manually set in the BIOS, Gigabyte keeps the Vcore at the level set even with EIST/C1E activated unlike Biostar/DFI (using CPU VID Add) which drops the Vcore when idle resulting in lower idle temps. Not sure if this is what you are experiencing.
F6
Are the other volt lines, viz. 3.3/5v, stable on your mobo? This question is also directed at BuGjAE too.

Using a corsair TX750w if that makes a difference. Any bios other than 7b doesn't have normal ripple in occt tests for me (haven't tried F6 though)
Looks good so it seems that there are perhaps both good and bad rev 1.0 mobos out there, wonder if it is fixed for all rev 1.1 mobos. Issue is unlikely to be PSU related cos I was using a proven Corsair HX620 unit which did not have such problems with other mobos tested. Now I am just using a lower end AcBel E2 470 on the rev 1.1 for testing yet the lines are all stable.
Corsair Dominators 2x2GB PC2-8500 (2.1Volts, version 1.1) should be able to run 1:1 with a FSB of 533 right? I'm having difficulty with settings for 8x533.
@bluestang, sure bro.I think my GEIL 1066 2x2GB can do 1:1 FSB 533 also but I still can't get it stable. even try to increse VTT or MCH core is not affective.
hey guys i have a ud3p mobo and q9550 i have questions about how to setup these properly
i am running 471 x 8.5 = 4ghz with 1.29...v in bios crucial pc6400 4-4-4-12

Thought I would post some pics of my new build using the UD3R. Quite a nice board for the money. I'm starting OCing tonight through the weekend.

The board came with the F5 bios. Could someone let me know what bios is best for a Q6600 OC, I understand F5 isn't to great?
No, this is what I'm experiencing, the 7c temp difference between the two. FYI, one core fails Prime95 Small FTT after 16 mins. Is there any settings I should change other then upping the vcore? From the Gigabyte screenshot, can you see any settings that are abnormally high for the given speeds that might be resulting in the temp increase?

Maybe core temp and real temp have different Tj, Max Values?
Also maybe when u put the UD3P in u didn't mount the CPU heatsink as good as u did on the Tpower I45? When I put my IFX-14 onto my UD3P I stuffed it up and my first core was 12C hotter then it should have been, so I just re-mounted the IFX-14 and it fixed it.
Also by looking at those settings they seem alright to me, but I'm not an expert on 45nm's.
So if in ET6 vtt=1.24 and CPU Ref=.76 and MCH ref=.70, then in BIOS vtt=1.24 and CPU ref=.781 (63%) and MCH ref=.868 (70%). Hopefully this is right cuz then I'm getting the idea and a special thanks to a573573 and PanhingIII. :)
I thought the MCH reference had to = 0.67 or 67%?
Guys i ran intelburn test for 20 times at max stress result was stable :D
do these settings look ok?

any update on the freeze after resume from S3 (suspend to ram) state with bios F7b.. the mobo reboot after wake up whenever its OC'ed on bios F4...
are u experiencing such resume failure with your OC'ed system and the new bios ?
thanks for your update on this.
I am Loving this board so far. Just started playing but so far I can boot and play within vista64 8.5x525 (Q9550) and still playing. have not made any adjustments yet. I am just amazed cause the board this is replacing had a hard time getting above 450
I'm a total rookie with Gigabyte boards, and i'm having a hard time managing the BIOS.
Looking for 450FSB stable, which should be np on this board. I get a quick BSOD in windows when going for 450FSB, wether it's set in BIOS or EasyTune. Can somebody give me a template.
And can somebody tell me where NB and SB voltage is? Is that MCH Core?
NB is MCH, SB is ICH.
Can't even boot with 1.5NB
Alright I can get into Windows with my Q9550 @ 4250MHz (8.5x500) no problem, however its only P95 stable for about a minute. It doesn't hardlock or reboot, it ether closes the P95 app automatictly or just says the threads failed. Here are my settings. Any obvious settings I should change other than vcore? For the GTL refs I multiplied CPU VTT and MCH voltage by .63 each.

Try setting MCH volts to 1.4v+, u r running a quad at 500FSB.
@bluestang , try this setting should able boot up at 533 FSB but not guarantee to stable:)

i have a quick question for you guys, im gonna try vista x64 and im gonna use 8 gigs of ram, do i need to use more MCH volts than i needed for 4 gigs?ill be using two kits of 2x2 gigs of g.skill pc 8800 pi.
I've got my rig all set and running at stock speeds, and I'll continue to look over everyone's settings here (I'm planning to do a modest overclock to take my G0-step Q6600 up to 1333FSB). Before I do it though, I've got a question.
Most of my overclocking experience is old-school, and it used to sometimes affect the spec for HDD controllers, risking data corruption issues. This wouldn't concern me much if I was running in legacy or AHCI mode like most are here, but I have two of my drives in a RAID-1. Does anyone have any experience with overclocking in this setup, and are there any special BIOS settings I should keep in mind?
low to mid fsb and 333 straps (both memory multi 2.0B or 1:1 and 2.40B or 5:6) you won't need to use high mch core volts,
266 straps like 450fsb 2.50A or 4:5 DDR2-1125 you'll probably need more.
if i recall, i posted something like 4-5 overclock settings that also uses the same 8GB of the same ram kits you mention,
so if you want to check the threads back a bit then you should see some of example of the mch core volts that i use.
it's better yet if you already have the ram kits with you, then try it and if you have any problem please post your setting.
