Just set it to 1.60V manual when using latest bios, dont remember which...
It will be 1.66V no matter how high the fsb... its ok for any cpu ;)
1.5V will reach much higher if u use the same latest bios... (cause is the same as Auto mode)

Cheers guys I will set them accordingly and see how we go.
Edit : NFG guys. Still refuses to cold boot. I even raised the vNB up to 1.5v . I might slacken the timings maybe. Currently at 5-5-5-15. I'd rather speed over tight timings anyway. But when I tested my ram first they were good for a measly 430mhz before I had to loosen them up.
Edit 2 : I'm using the yellow ddr2 slots. I have been advise not to use the black for reasons unknown to me.
Tku you all Guys.
Yes i do have the latest Bios.
Tonight i will change the values.
Mordorr:up:
PLL at 1.60.
Others options at minimum, except Vcore at Ram voltage, at 2.1V.
Also i did put a litle more FSB on the RAM:D

Back to business:up::D:p:
Use the white ones
DRAM Static Read Control: Disabled
Ai Clock Twister : Moderate ou Light
Transaction Booster : Disabled
LEVEL: 1 ou 2
Always set all to voltages to a value different then auto or the minimum one cause all of the raises when u raise fsb it its on auto or minimum value...
Like this:
put it vnb on 1.4V
vpll in 1.60v
vfsb 1.3V
CPU GTL in 63x
NB GTL 63x
and enable the load line calibration
Cheers for the input but I don't have white slots, yellow and black is what I have. Also I don't have this Ai clock twister in my bios options. I also tried all those options you have listed and others and nothing worked. I know my ram is not causing it as even though it's not fast as they an go I tested them right up too 450mhz, thats as far as I went with the ram...
I just booted my pc up now since shutting it down at stock values last night and it would not boot up. It took numerous shots to get it to boot then it said my overclock had failed even when there was no overclock:shrug:
I think i have no option but to go back to 0903 but it did not let me get the cpu anywhere over 3.5ghz no matter what I tried. Just would not boot at all. It was a bit better with the latter bios versions but I have an old DS3P here and a spare E6600 and a E4300 as well I might do some swapping around to found out what the culprit is.
I'm going to try the black slots before I start swapping parts around.
Im using also Black.
before i was using yellow, and my Muskin died...
Maybe coincidence...
Strange though, I have been told NOT to use the black if I want to overclock:shrug:
We'll see soon maybe.
Edit : Well I changed to black and it posted and is booting as I type! Better than what it was doing before already but I'm not holding my breath.
Edit 2 : Well holy bejesus! It rebooted at a massive 3.5ghz, better than it ever did. Its amazing how just different ram slots will make such a difference. I wonder why they are different in the first place. The real test will be tomorrow morning booting up from stone cold, off to play some BF hero's now.:frag:
I'll try some more later.
Just booted it up at a slight overclocked speed of 3.5ghz after nearly 24hrs and it booted. Which it never did before, now the test it to see will it bork at 3.6ghz like it did with the 0906 bios.
What do I set the FSB Strap to aswell?
bios 1102 is out now (asus website)
@Zero939
What new with the new bios? Any improvements?

ive noticed two new options that help achieve a higher fsb
i'm still using 0602 b/c of the usb -keyboard w/ hub b/s. anyone try the new bios??? :)
@Zero939
Alright thanks :)
hi...I ahve a question about the pencil vdroop mod...:D
what kind of pencil is needed? an H3 could be good? or a soft pencil like 2B is necessary?
sorry for my bad english..thanks..
Cheers mate, they must not have updated it when I looked at the AU site. It's there now.
@ Maxxpower, I have just used a 4B and it has worked. Also the 1102 bios is on and working, a couple of new options in there for enhanced FSB overclockabilty as mentioned but I am yet to notice anything else different.
Has anyone else had problems with the WIFI/AP causing stuttering when enabled? I'm using the latest bios but I get intermittent pauses whenever it's enabled and the 'SYSTEM' process jumps to 100% on one core for a few seconds. Not sure how to solve it but it's killing the board for me! :-(
Anyone? WIFI causing stuttering?
Nope
i flashed to 1102 but my usb kb problem was still present so i flashed back to 0602! didn't get into windows on 1102 so i can't comment on the "wifi stuttering"
What is the best bios for this?
I've got this weird thing with my bios where my Q6600 running at 450 x 8 only allows me to run my memory at: 950, 1080 or 1450mhz. That's it. No other options. I wonder if this is fixable as i'm getting faster ram and would like to be able to set it at 1200mhz.
where can i find the bios ?
The asus site doesnt have.
