Good question. Running 1200MHz is a non-issue. Doing it with acceptable voltages is the problem.
different chipset indeed.. my 2x1GB OCZ PC2-8000 Titanium Alpha on 965P/975X/P35 do only 565mhz 4-4-4-5 at 2.45-2.50v and 585mhz 4-4-4-5 at 2.55-2.6v and cas5 doesn't help
on Asus 680i striker does 630mhz 5-3-3-x at 2.60v so yes mileage still varies
now my 2x1GB team 6400c3 on 965P/975X/P35 do 570-580mhz 4-4-4-5 at 2.35-2.45v but only 612mhz 5-3-3-x on 680i heh
does clockgen work on this board and if so which PLL?
same clockgen as asus commando > http://i4memory.com/reviewimages/mot...35_T2R_27.html :)
use setFSB not clockgen ;)
Hi guys,
i finally received my Q6600 which should be able to do about 3,8 Ghz.
Any hints on how to start in Bios and work my way through ?
I know each cpu is different but a few hints would be awesome, since this GTL thing is new to (it's my first quad :) )
thx in advance
hey guys what bios version are you using .. is the newest version any good ???
09/13 seems to be the best overall for me.
Same here 09/13:up:
sorry if this question has been asked...but in the BIOS settings > DRAM Timing > Enhance Data transmitting... what does Turbo do?
Look at the dfi 09/13/07 Bios template and it will tell you. You need really high NBV to run @ Turbo
I read a few pages of the beginning of this thread and it seems there is a problem with a sqealing or whizzling noise if cpu is loaded, is there any possibility to solve this ? It`s really annoying since i leace my sidepanel open :)
Other question, can you flash the Bios to the new one without problems or did someone got a dead mobo with post code 88 like on the nf 680i board ??
No squeeling or whining going on here, I did at first till I changed the PSU, but now its all silent.
p.s. I have had post code 88 a couple of times when ive set bad bios settings ie: RAM speed, timmings, voltages etc, but a quick clear CMOS and pulling all my sticks of RAM but 1 while I rectify the problem has always cured that.
No squeeling here either.... nice and quiet at 4GHz
