the CCBBE and the CCB1E are about equal.

if you want to run phase i would try and find a CCBWE 0550UPMW. but to be honest you'll probably only get 80-100 more mhz out of a CCBWE 0550UPMW on phase, than a CCBBE or CCB1E on water. i'd just put the CCB1E on water, and save your phase for conroe

Hello.

Today I got a opty 165 with stepping CCBBE 0615EPMW (the opty in my signature is the old 0550). At the moment I'm testing it, but I could prime at 2800 MHz with default volt(1,34) in 1h 30min before I had to test a littlebit higher. To boot at 2900MHz I needed 1,37v and 1,40v to get prime to run (didn't try for long).

At the moment I'm priming at 2945@1,44v. Don't know for how long.

I need a qick recommendation, I'm gonna move my 170 over to my q-pack and put it on air. Its already proven 2.8ghz 1.4v on water so I figure I'll get 2.8ghz 1.475vcore on air. Now what stepping should I grab to reach the same or better results on water? I'm only looking @ 165's & my board is stable @ High HTT's. CCBBE 0610DPMW (904), CCB1E 0608MPMW or CCB1E 0609FPAW?

A new Stepping has arrived in Germany.
X2 3800
LCBIE0618EPMW
Z937519E60XXX
Two results are available.
One is up to 2850 Dualprimestable.
The other Benchstable up to 3100Mhz.
But of the lastone the Wafercharge is unknown.
Some guys are waiting for other 0618EPMWs.

@blazin.... i think my 0615 performs the same at 1.35v+ but at lower voltages it performs a little better. this can only lead me to beleive that with better cooling the 0615 will perform better overall.

0608MPMW, the one i had did 3.1 stable on water @51c load 1.56v. The chip is as good as the one in my sig, just the IHS limited it.

I think 0608s are better than most other Opties.

Hey Absolute 0,

Did you change the voltage on your 7900gt to reach 600mhz core? I ask because I've ordered some zalman v900's to stick on my eVGA's and was gonna flash the bios. Be nice If i didn't have to though.

i'm pretty sure you have to change the voltage on the gt's considered they are basically undervolted gtx's. mine is at 525 and can't go any further without the volt mod.

Is there a software way to do this? I'm trying to read up on the topic. Looking into bios flashing maybe. Don't really want to do any hardware mods since I'm planning to step these cards up to 7900gtx's if I can't get GTX performance out of 'em.

i don't believe it can be done any other way than through volt mod

But you have to look that Your DPMW has the Wafercharge 1434904C60XXX.
It´s important to have the 904!!Than it will perform good.

Has anyone seen a X2 3800+ CCB1E 0608BPMW? It's a 165, with half cache at 2.0ghz. It's identical to the CCB1e 0608MPMWs. I really want to buy one to replace my 165. Even though mine does 3Ghz at 1.45v, I miss the 10x multi sooo much.

if your at 3ghz, why would you care about the 10x multi. that only helps you if your mobo limited.
