So you ask in the GB UP45 thread if they prefer the GB board over the Asus, that's like entering a mercedez dealer and ask if you shouldn't be better wit a BMW...

Most users here are very happy with their setups, this board absolutely flies with quads but in my own humble experience the Asus ones are easier to setup...

With the PCI-E Being too narrow you're talking about the bandwith of the 2nd slot for Xcrossfire action... have a look at both boards layouts and see what might work best with ya cards... I think the Gb will be a better option

Where do you find those mem. test in Everest? I have both,the old one and Ultimate but its a trial verson.

I had alot of memery dumps/blue screems last night. I upped the voltage to 2.1 on the ram and so far it hasnt acted up.

Could someone please tell me what the PCI-E MHz does? It default is 100MHz? If I raise does it make the video card go faster :shrug:.

Just what it says, controls PCI-e main clock.

Teorically you well get a very small gain in benching in FPS, seen some benches at 120Mhz run faster then 100Mhz.

That if you don;t use sata drives (use IDE). If using SATA anything greaer then 108Mhz will shorten the hdd's life span.

I would keep that between 100 to 110 for daily use.

I have one more question.

I can't seem to get 3.7GHz (465x8) to load windows, but if i keep all the settings the same and just change the fsb to 475 (3.8GHz) it works fine. WTF. How can 3.7GHz not load windows, but 3.8GHz with the same volts can run 3D Mark 06 etc.

don't set termination and pll voltage @ Auto This will kill your CPU and/or Board.
Try to set everything manually

You haven't mentioned what CPU you are using.

Assuming you are using an E8400/E8500, your CPU may not be able to handle 4.68ghz at 1.45v Vcore. Try putting down the multi to 8.5 or even 8 and then tweak your voltages. Your MCH core is probably higher than it needs to be. I couldn't boot at 500fsb to save my life at 1.4v, but it runs all day at 1.3v. At 530fsb, I just needed 1.32v MCH core. Some other people posted this also, which is why I lowered mine and that solved the problem. Also, your Dram voltage looks kind of high. My OCZ Ram runs at 1066 at 2.1v just fine. Manually set your CPU PLL to 1.5v. I have my CPU termination set to auto, and the same voltage that auto sets is the minimum voltage needed to boot if I manually set it.

I got my E8400 C0 stable with FSB 550

pretty happy with the ud3p, i bought it as a backup, I cant for the life of me get it stable at 500+ though, i know my other hardware is capable....

it will do 475 on stock volts, I am probably missing something in this bios somewhere...

it will run small FFT all day at 500 but as soon as I go blend CRASH, I cant figure it out. My ram is good close to 1200 and my cpu can do 550 easy...

this chip and ram did 500 on a rampage formula with 8, 8.5 and 9 multi's at 1.18 vtt, 1.55pll and 1.31 NB, cpu volts 1.2 for 4ghz, 1.28 for 4250 and 1.36 for 4500 all blend stable for 12 hours or more...

My 535x7.5 result..only can run 1MB PI.,fail with 32MB PI..i dunno why..

Cpu termination may be too low I think up to around 1.26 'll help you :)

You just leave it, but you may need to adjust the references up or down a step or 2 after the VTT increase to find a new sweet spot

Yes, Set VTT1.20 and MCH ref to 0.68 as you set it before, then go raise up VTT to 1.26 you 'll notice MCH Ref will auto increase It doesn't matter. Go and check in ET6 you 'll see it still 0.68 in Windows because it just a Ratio of Vtt and MCH Ref only.

ok bro.,i understand now.,just try increase the Vtt to 1.26 and cpu ref to 0.688-0.712.,the problem now is i cannot successfully log into windows.,the system keep BSOD with IRQ less or equal..
