Sambe, what is the memory frequency ? What GPU ?
BFG 8800GTX OC with EK Fullcover block. i have Mushkin XP2-6400 4-4-3-10 stock value FSB/Mem 1:1. I have f5h bios
-> ChrissTi: Thanks! Guess I got some protozoa in my system, mutating and finally taking over my central nervous system (read PKD 4more)...whatever, this' the highest I'll get, before improving my cooling system. Greetz from SwaziakaSwizzaland

Hornet..please post pics if you can, high res if you can...pics of the various chipsets etc., so we can see the differences in the PCB.
Also, did you buy it retail...and where?
hello
are people having any fun oc'ing past 1066mhz with the new beta bios?:wiggle:
X38-DS4 now listed at GB:
http://www.giga-byte.com.tw/Support/...ProductID=2736
My system mem speed is 1080 with the latest F7H bios 5 6 6 18 :wiggle:
and I guess I could do more if my memory were identical. Right now they are 2x1G ADATA Extreme Edition 800+ and 2x1G Team Group Extreme 800. I'll wait and see maybe I'll get one 2x2G 4 4.. at 1066, but right now they are too expensive here ... about 1000$
X38-DS4 does not have Quad-Triple Phase Power ...
DS4 dosen't have 12 phase, it has 6 phase...which is why it's cheaper.
Which ACPI suspend type is best?, S1 or S3?...S3 is enabled by default...what is the difference in the two?
I read the Wiki explanation for S1/S3...but what setting do most of you guys use?....i normally use S1.
S1 - Power to the CPU and RAM is maintained
S3- Only power to the RAM is mainained ...
S3 is good if you have an UPS, or windows vista which saves Mem data to the HDD before entering S3 (combination beetwen hibernation and S3) :)
Based upon the PDF manual for the X38-DS4...it appears the bios flash parts have been changed to a Winbond 25X80 part. What does this mean in practice?
http://www.eeproductcenter.com/artic...leID=181503961
Hmm..the Winbond flash looks as if it'll be much faster at flashing bios then before.
S3 uses less power of corse :) is just the mem powered
as promised, some screens:

if you need other areas just say it.
