I had the same issue and was told by my memory manufacure that the P35-DQ6 MCH will not 4 modules above 930Mhz.
I have my fsb at 415 and the memory at x2

Still working to get the bugs out...
Memtest passes....
Othos passes

It looks like they are going to ship me another batch of memory....I ll let you know if THIS setting is finally stable.
I got myself a P35-DS3 few days ago and i noticed that it has tremendous Vdroop from 1.40v BIOS set, load 1.28v?! Do i have anything wrong? Anyone encountered this too?
I've got annoying problem with DS3 with F5 bios, and processor is E4400. For some reason I can't effectively change cpu's frequency. I can change it in bios, but after restart it hasn't changed, and in bios it shows that frequency tuning is disabled. So, what's the problem?
Sorry my caps were on because no one listens to you on this forum. You have to be clocking since 1645 to be heard I guess.
Here are my full specs
Trying to reach higher bu to no avail.
Processor E6320
board P35 Ds4
minne Crucial Ballistx tracers 2gigs PC2 6400 (can really be clocked I understand)
FSB 400
CPU Host Frequency: 1.86
PCI Express Frequency: default
C.I.A.2:disabled
System Memory Multiplier (SPD): 2
Memory Frequency (MHz): 800
#CAS Latency Time:4
#DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay:4
#DRAM RAS# Precharge:4
#Precharge Delay (tRAS):12
System Voltage Control:
DDR2 OverVoltage Control:+0.2v
PCI-E OverVoltage Control:default
FSB OverVoltage Control:default
(G)MCH OverVoltage Control:default (same result med +0.025)
CPU OverVoltage Control:1.400v
NOW I have other problems.
Installed drivers 163.44 for my 8800GTS 640 graphic card. GRAW2 crashes and Lost Planet hangs. After countless installation and reinstallation of new and older drivers. I tried playing on default clocks, 1860 mhz, and my games work! Not what I want!
When i reset to my 400FSB clocks (2800mhz) TAT reads the speed at 2400mhz!. CPUz says multiplier x6 but its set at x7 in the BIOS.
WHAT gives ?
BIOS F3
I was again on the phone today with Mushkin. Their senior design Engineer will be back from Europe shortly and expressed some interest in working with me and Gigabyte to get their memory working correctly on the P35 chipset. This work may also spill over into improving the p965 boards and their memory compatibility.
I ll update you on the progress as we move forward.
Later,

Guys I can not say enough good things about this heatsink.
I can run near 3.2Ghz on my quad core and only reach 73C. Considering the top of the case is registering 33C and the intake is registerings 31C. That is pretty impressive to me.
The case internal and external temps were taken from my Hardcano 13. The CPU temps are recorded with Core Temp
My previous Ninja was pulling 88-90C at 3.2Ghz with the same fan.
The thing is dead quiet. It may not be the best, but for the size, space and noise, it is definately up there.
I am only running a single fan currently. And my CPU fan is speed controlled by the BIOS. I ll do a full speed test later for you all.
Yes i have the ht thing its disabled though, my mushkin 8500 runs orthos stable 24/7 @ 5-5-4-10 ive had it up to 370 fsb almost 1200 mhz on the memory here ~~ http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/3655/3d06wq3.png
got sytem back uo to 2800 (FSB 400)
All I can possibly inactivate in the bios I did!
But whether in auto or at PCIE 100mhz GRAW2 and Lost Planet crashes when the PC is over clocked! (tried driver 163.44 and my very stable 163.16).
What have I done?
Dos anybody with P35 DS4 have problems with the new bios ?
All bios from F5-G to F6-a i can only use 4:5 on my ram 1:1 i can`t boot
But bios F5-f no problems at all
Anyone know EIST does not work on Gigabyte boards once you manually set the voltage? The multiplier still drops, but the idle voltage does not.
yes f5 final but i done the test on f5h beta
In advanced bios features i disable
No-Execute memory protect
CPU Enhanched Halt (c1e)
CPU thermal Monitor 2(TM2)
Virtualization Technology
and in MB Intelligent Tweaker (M.I.T.)
Performanced Enhance= STANDARD
mem timings 5-5-4-10
DDR2 Overvoltage Control +0.50
CPU Voltage Control 1.45000v
Is the default voltage always 1.8v or does it depend on the ram being used?
Anyone with 4x1GB and can run memory well over 1000MHz? So far I've got these OCZ's 8500's to run orthos/prime/gamestable 1010MHz 5-4-4-8 and fairly tight subtimings. But even 1020 with same timings (and slacker too) is no go in orthos. Vfsb is set to +0.2V, Vmch +0.1V and Vdimm +0.35V. Increasing these voltages don't help a bit.
You have to disable EIST + C1E in the menu "Advanced BIOS Features".
I have the exact same RAM and it is rated for 2.2V (+0.4V), not 2.0V: http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/part...2KIT12864AL804
Maybe you should try to add more voltage.
I just got the memory, then I'm still trying to find the best settings for a stable OC, I'll post them when my rig will stable.
Did you try to set manually the PCI-E frequency ?
I've read that on the early versions of the P965-DS3, it helped some people to set manually the value to 100 to be able to have a stable OC. People said that it might have been due to the PCI lock not working properly.
Here is the post talking about that: http://www.hardforum.com/showpost.ph...3&postcount=10
Not sure it will solve your problem, it is just a guess, but it doesn't cost anything to try it.
anyone have pictures/info on how to vmod a p35C-ds3r?
Kingmax 4x1GB DDR2 1066 5-5-5-16 (powerchips).
There are two settings which I can use for the rig to be rock stable @DDR2 1066 (FSB 355MHz, MEM:FSB 3:2):
1. DDR2 1066 vMem +0.05V (1.87V) & vMCH +0.20V
2. DDR2 1066 vMEM +0.1V (1.92V) & vMCH +0.1V (i use this one)
