This Biostar doesn't seem to have any problems with 18.5 and 19 multis, but the power section can't handle the required v's for very long (over 1.45).
Sounds like it's not that big of a problem, hopefully Asus will give us a bios update soon..

Can't post a pic, but yeah.....it's BIG, covers the first ram slot, and only orients only up or down. I've got one on an EVGA 590/5000BE combo. You can only use standard height ram.....anything taller and you'll need to cut the ram heatsink to get it under the 120. Check out this Sunbeam Core Contact cooler review on Frostytech......

If I was in the market for a heatsink/fan, this is what I'd be looking at......cools great, doesn't cover ram, orients east and west.:D
kinda random but does anyone know if this is the only mobo that will run 4 sticks @ 1066 or do any other boards do it?
There is a supposed limitation in the IMC that only supports 'one dimm per channel' at 1066. I say 'supposed' because some people have successfully run four sticks. It isn't a motherboard thing, it's the CPU. I'm running 4x1 G.Skill 1066 by dropping the ram down in bios and jacking the bus speed up.....1000 ddr2.
All i do is set it to 1067 and 5-5-5-15 @2.1v in bios
has anybody been able to break the 4ghz mark stable for 24/7? Just curious because that is what AMD said this chip was capable off on air.
not I . It craps out with anything over 3.7gig on my setup
ACC is broken also. We really need a new bios.
Now i know why they sent 790GX board with the PII to reviewers

Some modules allow you to populate all four DIMM slots, but others like the OCZ 1066 Reapers I purchased only allow two. I won't be going 8GB anytime soon, atleast at rated timings.
well my AOD just started reading wrong now ? worked right like 10 minutes ago
AOD thinks I'm at 3.9ghz.
I'm working up to your 4.2ghz currently I'm at 3.5ghz.
yeah,AOD ACC might help us although I do have plans for an NV780A though.
Make sure you guys are using aod 1.4 not 1.5.......1.5 has alot of bugs
thanks for the input guys.
Does anyone else have AOD crash their system (just opening it) when CPU core is set higher than 1.45v's in bios?
Guess I'll look for that AOD.ini mod to allow 1.55v's in AOD even though it killed my MSI DKA790GX... :shakes:
I'm pretty sure this Asus has a much beefier PWM section than the MSI did..
I'm at 3.75ghz at 1.55 volts. Idle is much lower then the last time I tried this with multiplier.
42C last time was like 50C...
mine is stuck always on ??? (from AOD)
I've tried both form my bios
it's not working at all for me at all :wth:
