-> ChrissTi: Thanks for your advice. I always test with Orthos. Unlike you, I have to raise FSB and MHC voltages to reach 3.520 Ghz and I always have to stay with a DRAM:FSB of 1:1. Above 440 Mhz FSB is no stability. I disagree with the fact that 700W isn't enough. This IS my new PSU. Had a 500W Seasonic before and was running 2 X1950Pro's in CF, with a CPU/FSB OC of 60% (on GA-965P-DS3). It's a miracle to me how you get 3.62 Ghz on air. Without cooling the NB with water, I can't OC anything. Well you have the DQ6, I have the DS5 - allthough I don't see any other difference than the LAN-Chip, it seems that there is more OC potential on the DQ6.
Heat heatpipe design:
About heatpipe: I cut mine in half (or better three pieces) and trashed the NB-part. The whole thing is cheap (feels like junk) as hell, and: what's the idea of transporting the heat from the NB (which heats the most) to the SB and the convertors via heatpipe? Since I don't have them connected anymore the SB and convertor part don't even get hand-hot.
Need advice: Wow much performance gain would I probably get by putting some Crucial Ballistix 2x1GB, DDR2-1066, CL5-5-5-15 (BL2KIT12864AA1065) in this system? Price is very low at the time, and chrismas and all of that, so I was wondering...thanks

I got a blue screen just half an hour ago while browsing some photos... Everest stress test won't crash within 5min. Maybe is the memory too tight and bluescreening my system?

First of all, i seriously doubt you can run the E6750 at 1.35v at 3,6ghz. I bet you'd have to up it to atleast 1.45v. I have the same cpu and i need 1.55v to be 100% stable on this board.
Also, memory is very touchy about running past 1066 on this system when using more than 1 module,- especially when using more than 2. I'd try 5-7-7-24 and up DDR voltage to 2.25
Get OCCT. If you can go past 2 hours in it without crashing you're most likely stable.
I have those exact sticks, and they will be unstable on stock settings, even if you set TRD manually,- atleast on my board.
The only way i could get these sticks stable was with 4-7-7-24 TRD:9 at 1:1 (450mhz/900mhz ddr2) 2.25v
Any other setting ive tried (and ive tried them all at this point) will result in OCCT crashing after anything between 1 second and about 25 minutes.
Funny part is i can use performance enhance: turbo at the settings mentioned above without any loss of stability.
Stable in my book is OCCT running at ram+cpu for 8+ hours.

1.45v?! man, isn't that too high? Before changing memory I was running it at 3200Mhz with 1.28v and it was stable with gaming and everything... I never thought this CPU would need that many voltage with OC... :/
my sticks are the blue G.Skills (stock 1000Mhz 5-5-5-15). You don't think they can run 1080 with the stock timings? maybe just upping the tRAS to 18 will do it?

e6750 is 1.35 at default 2,66ghz. Ive run it for a long time on 1.6v at 3.8 no problemo. As long as your cores are below 75C you should be fine. (these are bios settings, 1.6v would usually be 1.55v in OS under load cause of the bad droop).
With memory i guess its just trial and error. All hardware is different,- its all a big lottery. Just set up some decent setup and see how it fares in OCCT. If you crash within 30 minutes you need to either slack off settings or increase voltage and try again.

just installed my ninja plus revision B on x38-dq6.
ive up'd to:
3.2ghz (q6600)
1066mhz dom pc800 ram at
400fsb (2.66d)
its running around 52 deg c ( via core temp .95.4)
before on stock at 2.8ghz (which is lower) i was at around 60 degrees on load
running prime.So pretty great because also i have my case fan turned down at the moment. :)
Not all the cores were the same temp on stock cooling , core 3 was averaging '5' degrees cooler always. i thought perhaps the cooler needed laping?
now core 1 is averaging 3 degrees lower so a bit better.
i may re- lap the cooler or even lap the cpu at some time ..But, as they aint broke im not gonna try and fix at the moment,

I think I'll drop a little the frequencyes ... Too hot :) I think I reached the maximum of that CPU on air... The voltage I set in bios is 1.65
I'm impressed. Look at my results, I guess I have to optimize my cooling system. Set the same voltage as you in Bios, 1.65. CPU-Z says it's a DQ6, but it's a DS5. Will try to go a little higher, but I doubt the Mem will handle it.

F7H solved sata problems :)
Memory set to tighter timings ... so it's not so overclockable like in the older bios versions.
'Little more. Must say this is a NO fan (@all) watercooling system. (Fans: hate them. Turning, squealing, blowing, gasping, getting dirty :) ).

If a fan fails there is no risk in burning something, if one of the pipes breaks what happens ? :confused:
