First boot @4.4GHZ 1.328v(Idle) :yepp: with Xeon W3520 (aka my new D0-babe) on DFI LP UT X58-T3eH8. This is 0.4GHZ more than my old C0 (aka my old B-batch-babe) with almost the same Vcore. But this one seams to be runing a few degrees hotter. This is not primestable for 24/7 yet (gotta work more on it), but I'm pretty happy with my D0-babe's first attempt.

wow nice sam, much better than my first i7 920 D0 stepping cpu! Bclk wise, it has alot of potential on plain water. Although, vcore wise it's a mixed bag > http://i4memory.com/f80/first-i7-920...results-17703/ heh.

want to see the fastest i7 920 on the planet courtesy of Windows 7 and CPUZ flakiness during Hyper Pi 8x 32M Pi test ? How about 12200Mhz - 61x200bclk LOL
http://fileshosts.com/intel/DFI/DFI_...m_8x_12200.png
Update: interesting the vcore required for HyperPi 8x 32M PI test might be just for that, as I started testing Prime95 small FFTs 1hr stable at 20x200 = 4000Mhz at 1.312v and Prime95 Blend custom 5.4GB test at same 1.312v and it's running without problems. So HyperPi 8x32M Pi test might come down to memory/voltage related settings. Will try lower vcore after the custom Blend test and then LinX.
You guys should try HyperPi v0.99b 8x 32M pi test to compare against your prime95/linx runs ;)
Thanks eva2000, it looks nice for now, and i hope to get some good stable OC on this. But this babe is getting really hot on me, and I wish i had your 4-rad to handle the heat.
For now its running very stable with surprising low QPI and Vcore, but it is really HOT. For now W3250 @4.2GHZ 1,23v(Load) is 5-6*C hotter than my old C0 @4GHZ 1.34v. It is still early and i may find some way around the heat, but i see why you went for a 4-rad.
Hi all,
Problems solved, back to XP and flash it with Winflash ver. 1.92.
Thanks
Looks like indeed vcore was a HyperPi 8x 32MB test related as I ran the following 4000Mhz at 1.312v (haven't tried lower vcore yet) without problems

- 1hr Prime95 Small FFTs (~533W - 544W)

My T3EH8/920/6gb memory are scheduled for delivery on Thursday! :D
Changed my cooling (again, LOL) to Prolimatech Megahalems with 2x Scythe Slip Stream (1200 RPM) Push/Pull, and I can't believe what I'm seeing. This is running almost 10'C cooler :) than before.
Did some MEM-testing, just to make sure MEM-settings won't make any problem for priming, but somehow I'm getting higher scores than before (according to Everest anyways). 19xxxMB/s is not too shabby for my god old OCZ 1333MHZ CL7 :)

For now, working on a stable @4.2GHZ setup for 24/7 on air, and it seams to be within reach on DFI LP UT X58-T3EH8 (If i can get the heat av this HOT D0-babe under the control tho).
Just a little 10-min-prime to test the temp, and the new air-cooling seams to be up to the task for keeping the heat under control @4.22GHZ. And this D0-babe is really HOT compared to my old C0.
It is amazing that DFI and this new D0-babe priming @4.22GHZ (211x20) with "almost everuting" on stock. Vcore: 1.30/1.24v (BIOS/Load), VVT: 1.24/1.28v and NB Core: 1.13/1.12, and everything else on stock :). The board is somehow over-volting the VVT from 1,24v BIOS-set, to 1.28v Load ;).
DFI LP UT X58-T3EH8 has been priming smooth and effortless without any complains, so far :).
This is not final yet, but just a taste av what to come from my new hot D0-babe:

Push that baby now or im coming to push you:D
I have the board no, but the bios is ooold...so it refuse to go over 150bclk.
And of course i dont have a usb-stick, is there another way to update the bios when you have Vista 64-bit?

what bios is everybody using?
wow that replacement set is clocking very nicely!
4/28 for me still as i want to compare my i7 920 D0 with my C0 stepping one first.
First overclock for GT memory on this i7 920 D0 and looking pretty good so far @DDR3-2148Mhz 7-8-7-20 1T at 1.875v bios set vdimm. Ignore the vcore used, I set it higher than needed to focus on memory clock first.

I break my board in two soon, every time i try to oc i get CF error on the postcode display.
Have tried almost every bios now and starting to get a litt angry:P
I use 920 D0 3847A764 and TakeMs 1333mhz 1024x3, Antec 1000w and 4870. On stock everything is fine...but i hate stock:P
On Gigabyte UD4P the cpu did 4ghz easy.
Im starting to think its the memory, but i dont know.
Hope someone here can help me solve this=)
Thanks anyway;)
CF errors usually related to vdimm/cpu vtt balance for me anyway. Tried other memory ? or the tips for memory located at http://i4memory.com/102537-post3.html ?
I dont think it is volt, becouse i tried just with 1200 and that is under stock with my memory and then its start to "pip pip pip"(C1)
And if i try to put them in 2-4-6 i just get "CF"
So i have asked i friend if i can borrow a set;)
Its the green lanes i should use?
Becouse if i use the yellow lanes its dont work.
Just wonder becouse everybody say use the 2-4-6, and after the manual i use that.
but cpu-z( newest) shows 1-3-5 O.o
Have been on I7 for a short time so havent got more memory-sets.
Sam: The same memory works perfect on Gigabyte UD4P and are stabil on 1600, so i think the board hates those sticks:P
Have tested all and the same thing happen every time i try 150blck and more, and i have used the green lanes( just asked becouse cpu-z is saying i use lane 5 when i use lane 6:P)
And tried every bios i could find( thanks to Eve )
Its nothing new that a mobo dont like one type of memory;)
Sigh...PSU changed to TX850 and it failed to POST even with CMOS cleared / battery removed?........
