i dont think your flash worked ,as xt is 625 on core where 648 on xtx .both core and memery are a bit higher on mine when flashed to xtx .
How can i save my stock XT bios? is there an option in winbios? I want to do the flash but need an escape plan just in case. My card does 702/801 @ 1.45/2.0/2.0/1.45, but takes 1.575 to do 732. and RAM wont go over 810 regardless of voltage.
the new atitool beta 14 saves the bioses. I do believe the atiwinflash program does as well.
atiwinflash has three buttons...load, program, save
click the save button
Just tried this on my power color X1900XT.
Clocked at 686/797
Tested with 3D06
Before flash 6422
With XTX Bios 5459
:(
Results are poor now and Ive flashed back to my original bios and they have remained poor
About flashing XT to a XTX. It worked great for me with the bios that come together with ATIwinflash (x1900xtx.rom). But when i changed to r580.rom bios, the core clock whent really bad. Right now it goes in 650mhz so if i adjust it 10+ the pc goes for reboot.
The card is a Connect3D with 1.1ns mem.
Vgpu 1.175v
Mvddc 2.086v
Mvddq 2.086
Vddci 1.500v
And the 24/7 temp in i idle is 27C
So i'm not sure what it could depend on. I guess the bios don't like the card somehow, but why wouldn't it?
where did you get the x1900xtx.rom with ATIwinflash ? Mine didnt come with that.
This is just redicilous, why flash the card when so many people is having problems, and none has posted better results after flashing the card?
c.freak: that voltage is 2d voltage, you need to disable the ati services and set 1.4-1.45 vgpu
Devious: I think i got it from this forum, but i don't remember from which thread. The filename was "x1900xtx.rom" try search on it. But
Lenniz: Ok thank's for the advice. Maybe i should have noticed it was a little bit low, cause i got some nice lists on the exact adjustments on the x1900. Checked it up before but this time i kinda forgot it.
I've read this whole post from start to finish and all that happens is the problems keep getting more common the more people flash their XT to XTX. I'm sold with buying a Crossfire XT card with 1.2 memory and a slave XT card with 1.1 and leaving it at that. This flashing is definitely not worth it.
There isn't much benefit to flashing other than the stock clocks go up a bit. Is it really worth risking a $400+ investment for a few extra clocks at startup?
Hi to all, I'm new to the forum and just want to share my personal experience from flashing my sapphire ati radeon X1900XT to X1900XTX.
My card is working flawlessly and in fact a saw an improvement after flashing.
Before flashing I had the following results:
3d mark 2005, 9952marks
3d mark 2006, 5250marks
With the XTX bios I had the following results:
3d mark 2005, 10115marks
3d mark 2006, 5560marks.
In any way I didn't overclock the card before or after flashing.
I forgot to mention that I used a bios version from sapphire's ati radeon X1900XTX.
Here is some useful links I used:

both sapphire bioses have the same clocks correct?Quote:

The last days I've been overclocking my cpu, which I managed to clock from 2000MHz to 2400MHz. That is a gain of 400MHz.
The scores are even higher and I didn't even overclock the vga after flashing it from xt to xtx.
3d mark 2006 5560 marks @2000MHz cpu,
3d mark 2006 5789 marks @2400MHz cpu.
In every way I didn't have a drop in scores after flashing, or even crashes in 3D applications or even after ocing my cpu.
I include a photo after ocing the cpu.
I have X1900XT His Master Card ! can I flashing to X1900XTX ? where I get bios ?
My BBa1900xt is on the way.I am pretty confused with the problems of lower frames with the xtx bios.Has anyone figured the problem , or found an bios that works without any problems.
