You can find them at Newegg for $184. They do not state that they are BH-5 IC's because that's not exactly what they are anyway. They are Windbond IC's but as we all know, they don't make BH-5 anymore. These are the UTT modules that everyone is talking about that behave very similarly to BH-5.Quote:

Perkam
3200VX = new CH-5 (commonly called UTT).
3200 Gold = new BH-5 (commonly incorrectly called UTT).
So generally speaking, which one is better -- 3200 Gold or 3200VX?
3200 Gold has the possibility to be better I believe, but the difference is minimal really.
Something funny is happening with my rig...
Although Memtest86+ v1.55 fails at 205MHz 2-2-2-5-7-14-2-2, I can run 3DMark05 & 3DMark03 looping for 14+ hours total w/out any problems...
that's on my DFI with that poxy 20pin PSU (poxy even though it's rated at the same 12v rails amps most of the 24pin brand name PSU's...
Can't wait til I get my PowerStream 520w though... Hopefully that'll bring out the best in my DFI, especially the 3200 GOLD...
Still trying to get the right settings for this DFI bios... There's that many damn settings I don't know where to start...
Can anyone help me with the "right" bios for these BH-dies??
So far, what's the best bios out for UTT/BH5/BH-Die RAM??
310??
330-3??
414-3??
Kinda confusing here... Might start a poll just for BH5/UTT RAM users to see what the best bios is for the DFI boards...
Minh
bh-5 for me 310 official and 331-3 bios
you got paid pcmark04 pro version ? try creating a custom bench set to run a repeat loop for memory testing as well and superpi 32m http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?p=3804#post3804
eva2000
Gonna flash to 310 official & give that a go as well as print out your timings you've used for your 3200 GOLD.
Anyone else experienced $hit OC's with their PC3200 GOLD or am I the first "guinea pig"??
Okay, off to try out the different bioses...
Cheers,
Minnyboy
maybe it could be something else that's affecting it?
another component?
Try it in someone elses comp?
I think you know mj and GreenBeret but I'm not sure if either still have a64 machines
im tempted to get this as its bh5 (had bad experiences with utt) but some people have been gettin cack results with it
so dunno wether or not to try some 3200 or 4000vx
thoughts?
As has been mentioned before, I would also like to confirm again so everyone is clear:
OCZ Recommends using the 310 Official BIOS for the DFI nF4 for best performance and stability.
Thanks :)

240mhz here @ 5-2-2-2 3.3v memtest (72 passes) stable.
the goal is 250mhz 5-2-2-2 3.2v :), and i agree that the 310 official bios is the best one, i had plenty of errors with the newer betas.
i like this memory better than the vx, didnt have as good luck with those.
I'm very tempted to try these out myself, especially considering my gig of G.skill will only become semi stable on my DFI if there is 3.1v pumped through them. I was hoping I could get them tested by OPB, but he has stopped answering my PMs. If he doesn't get in touch I'll be selling the G.Skill to wash my hands of them and buying some OCZ BH-5 in it's place.
Any more results on this fellas? Burn in results. Got it on offer in the UK, should be arriving today (mon) or Tomorrow (Tues). Hoping for some nice clocks. Only really bought it as 4000VX was out of stock everywhere, and I need to send my GSkill for RMA, so need new memory for time being. If its good, it'll replace the GSkill.
Wow, down to $175 at NewEgg. :woot:Quote:

Can you please give me some hints in OCing these PC3200 GOLD??
I'm having a hard time trying to OC these sticks of mine... Anything above stock 200MHz 2-2-2-5 @ 2.8v (well more tigher settings for a few other things at higher volts - 3v-3.1v) & I get errors ranging from Test2, Test7, Test8, sometimes in the hundreds of errors range...
Most of the errors are at 463.5MB range...
I've got one dud stick haven't I??
Right now I'm testing at 200MHz
2-2-2-5-7-16-2-2-1-2-a-a-enabled-a-0--a-a-a-256-disable-8x-7x-disabled(8 Bursts)
I get over 300 errors ranging from test 3 to test 7, all at 463.5MB....
That leads me to believe that one of my sticks don't like me....
I have yet to test the RAM for 24 hours memtest at it's rated speeds... Will give it a shot...
The new PSU didn't change a damn thing... It still shuts off it it is OCed too high (if you can call 210HTT high)... thinking it was a waste of money...
Good thing I didn't lose out on the RAM though, sold my 1GB XMS3500 for $330, bought the VX4000 GOLD for $420, exchanged them for the PC3200 GOLD for $330 & $90 towards my PSU...
Sorry bout dragging this a little Off Topic...

what motherboard ? if it's K8N Neo2 dump the board.. if it's DFI NF4 SLI-D which bios try 310 official or 331-3 beta bios first
max async latency and read preamble set manually to 7ns and 5ns respectively
Trc = 12 which is default
Trfc = 14 which is default
Trrd = 2
Trw = 3
Trtw = 2
Twtr = 4
Tref = 3072 or AUTO
Interleave = disabled
Drive strength = 2
Drive data strength = 1
these 2 are important otherwise instability happens quickly
R/W Queue Bypass = 8x
Bypass Max = 4x
tried swapping the ram in each slot yet - DFI NF4 is know for this switching ram in same slots sometimes results in better oc
eva2000
Haven't bothered with the K8N Neo2 yet... using the DFI with 331-3 bios atm... Tried 310 but no go there... Might be just me though with the 310...
Haveb't tried Bank Interleave set to disabled yet...
Will try out these settings & report back...
Thanks for the tips... I'm sure these tipos will be very useful to others as well...
Cheers,
Minh
BH5 doesn't like interleave enabled so disable it
Umm, kinda confused with these 2 options...Quote:

edit:
WOW!!! Bandwidth takes one h3ll of a hit with those options mate...
11x200HTT 1:1 with RAM at those settings there went from 2518MB/s (the settings I had earler) down to 2158MB/s... Gonna let it do a few passes & thrn crank up the OC some...
yeah A64tweaker reads Trwt as Trtw heh
yeah it will take a hit but the point is to see if it's ram faulty or just set too tight for your cpu's memory controller
