Hi.
Like almost all ASRock mainboards, this ASRock board and its BIOS cannot be modified anymore.
I just can add/remove/update BIOS Logo screens, network boot roms or (S)ATA BIOS ROMs on these boards.

Hi.
Old MODBIN6 releases can not open new* Phoenix - AwardBIOS files even the mentioned/quoted mainboards and their BIOS files crash old MODBIN6 releases.
So, only new MODBIN6 releases (e.g. 2.01.01 (06/25)) are able to open such BIOS files.
However, the mentioned Albatron BIOS file does not have any further option to unhide except:
+ IDE Channel 3 Slave (including sub options)
+ CPU Thermal-Throttling
+ MAC Media Interface
+ ACPI function
+ CPU Warning Temperature
+ Shutdown Temperature
If you still interested in getting the latest available/known MODBIN6 release then just let me know.
To run modbin without problems in Windows 2000/XP/9x check these threads:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=45538
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=63210
*=MODBIN6 versions can open "Phoenix - AwardBIOS" files, but there seems to be "new" kind of "Phoenix - AwardBIOS" files.
Do not ask me, how "new" the mentioned BIOS files are/have to be
that they cannot be opened with old MODBIN6 releases anymore. :)
If you can figure out the characteristics of the new Phoenix - AwardBIOS files then let me know.
Hello,
thank you for the quick answer.
Where can I get MODBIN6 2.01.01
I tried to open it with the MODBIN6 2.00.00.......no chance
If there are no more possibilities to hide/unhide BIOS-options,
anyhow I'd like to trie to modifie the text and structure in BIOS-screen:banana:
thx
BTW bin auch deutsch:woot:
Hi.
1.)
"BTW bin auch deutsch"
I know that you come from Germany, you also wrote a private message in German.
But your simple phrase (mentioned/quoted above) shows that your German skills/knowledges are not really good.
Mixing German words/phrases with English words/phrases is a signal for not really smart and intelligent persons. ;)
2.)
Reffering to your private message, I will send the latest MODBIN release to your eMail adress.
Hi all,
I have a question!
I have an asus a7n8x-xe mobo it is a nice board but lack's the capability to change the vcore or multiplier. Now here's the question how can I unhide these options assuming they are there. I tried to make a backup. Bin file with aflash but with out any luck:( . The original asus bios files are .rom files.
Maybe I doing things wrong:eek: could somebody give me some advice so I can check if there are any hidden options which I can unhide?
What tool do I need to look "inside" the bios (asus) file. I tried Tmod's BiosMod v3.6 - Awdflash6 etc but witch out any result
Thanks
Borg, do you have a working tool for present AMI BIOSes ?
Yes. :)
Wow, that was fast m8 ! ;)
I can't find it in your page, can you please send it to me ?
EDIT: I browsed some files here :
http://www.dstyles.de/bios/bnobtc-fi.../amibcp-amimm/
I downloaded amibcp and get this error Invalid row value.
Borg number one Is ther a guide somwhere how to use this tool? I know I am an noob:confused2
Hi.
Just let me know, which BIOS file and what you want to modify.
that's a lightning fast reply:D '
Its the asus 0204 file ftp://ftp.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socka...8x-xe/0204.zip
I sure hope the vcore /vdimm options are hidden :) otherwise no oc for me
Thanks alot:)
Hi.
Sorry, like in many other AMIBIOS8 files, in the current Asus A7N8X-XE BIOS file there are no further options/menus to unhide.
You just can use software/utilities to change voltage settings.
Thanks for all the help m8
I will look for other options besides the bios
Quote "You just can use software/utilities to change voltage settings."
That's the problem if the bios does not have this option. Tools like clockgen or 8rdavcore-0.8.8-dev8 will not let you change anything because these settings are not available
I'll keep you posted
So what tool can I use to extract modules from recent AMIBIOS8 files ?Quote:

by the way ive hotflashed a few times . seeems since ive done that they have added protection for newbs or just want us to pay the extra 9 buks for the new chip.Ill e mail any1 9 bucks for instructing me how to diable flash protect.cheap aint i.hehe
Yes, chips must be equal and you made sure it is actually version 1.54 ?
Borg provided this link :
http://www.dstyles.de/bios/bnobtc-fi...inflash154.rar
EDIT: I just found out that your Shuttle board uses 2Mbit EEPROM while DFI uses 4Mbit, so they're different and you won't be able to hotflash.
