Just out of curiosity Conard, what kind of case are you using? Because when I had symptoms like your guy's, I trouble shot everything 1 by 1 and found that it was the power connetors (and I don't mean the 20 or 24 pin connectors, I mean power/speaker/reset/HD etc.... that set) on my case that was messing everything up, got the board's LED indicators in the left lower corner to light up, fans spin, computer didn't go, what did I do? I unhooked the reset cable and everything was fine after that, this happened on 2 rigs I built for customers each time, and each time I had to unhook the reset wire and just did not use it, sounds to me like this is your guy's problem (assuming you have tested all your components and they all work properly), I did pull everything out of my customer's rig and test everything independently in my rig to make sure it was not a component issue. My Lian Li 7077 doesn't come with a reset cable so I had no problems, smooth install, the last 2 of 2 cases I have used to build for customers (did have reset wires) and did have the very same problem. I really hope this is your problem because it's quite easy to fix. It was just too unbelievable to me that I would get 2 boards that didn't work properly either so... 6 hours later...heh.
