we should try 1st if this can fix high fsb issue more than 250MHz that should be great for us....
if after the vtt mod there is still issue,,, i willl try my best to tweak the bios further more
anyway it worth a try...

I still don´t get how will Vtt help to increase FSB, Vtt is a memory voltage...
My mobo don´t do more than 246 MHz, even at 6/5, 5/4 ratios...
so I still think the problem isn´t due to short Vtt...
Am I saying anything wrong, guys?

so we just cut the trace and put 1K trimmer there start from 0 ohm and raise up the trimmer resistance to get higher vtt/vbt voltage right?

Yes, that's right. That's the VTT mod for this board. You can use 1k trimmer, but i'd say a 200 ohms trimmer should do it. :)

We need a convenient measuring point for VTT, fumbly fingered people might short things out if measuring on DIMM socket pins. Something a fat multi-probe can point at. Not everyone has the needle sharp "Huntron" probes I have on the fluke.

Little off-topic, but just wanna know if I've got this right... for the Dirty Punk vdimm-mod, do you just solder a wire between those two points, and the vdimm will be the same as the 3,3v? Nothing more?

Can you tell me how this Vdd Booster works? You put the 5V out of the ATX an on the Induktive? Or how does this work, pleaze tell me? Im currently stuck on 246FSB, but my RAM let me do 260. So i want to push the Abit to 250 or 260, else i would have to change on the DFI side.

few forumers in lowyat.net (2 of my friends) had done it
some can reach 246MHz 2-2-2-11 timing already with this vdimm mod...

The VDD "Booster" is something that my Finnish frend did, I did too and noticed no harm about it, works fine but dont realy know is it helping to gain some extra FSB's:idea:Quote:

I got DFI Lanparty and for me that mobo...sucks...
allright, i just checked my "dead" one again and it works... diodes light up, vdimm at 2.9v vtt at 1.44v... vdd at 0v :) i'll be doing mod very soon...

hey, guys...
i just scratched some stuff off that trace to prepare 2 soldering pads for trimmer and thought about measuring voltage at those...
would that mean anything ---> vtt at 1.44v and voltage at those "pads" is 1.38v ???
EDIT: after cutting the trace, the pad farther from pin2 shows vdimm (2.96v) and the closer shows pretty much nothing - so i'm soldering trimmer now...
