The reason of the dissmantle were to be able to have the "enermax" logo in the same direction as the "EkWb" logo. You can also see very well how much space a rad and fans take in this case.

The psu test mounted and with some experimental cablemanagement. I'm going to hide the cables alot more, that's my conclusion.

Ok now the cobra-tied sleeving is getting a little out of hand... the cables are simply dominating the case!
I think only some cables should be tied that way, not all of them.
Maybe don't do the 8 pins and 6 pins to highlight the great job you did on the 24-pin? Your choice, though, maybe the finished product will use your cables the right way.
Maby cut off some of the cables to reduce the size and re sleeve em? Would be alot easier and less clustered..
In that case I would not braid the 24pin, it is the hardest one to pull of and I'm not totally satisfied with the result of it. But I'll have to figure out just how I'm going to have the PSU first. It's not mounted yet. ^^,
That's an idea, it's mainly the 24pin that's longer than needed. I'll see when the PSU is mounted how I'll do.
i too am not a fan of the braides - otherwise your build looks sweeet
It's actually not that clustered, it's mainly the braiding that creates an amazingly clustered look. To put it simple: There's too much going in in those pictures.
I think shortening the cables is a good start, but I doubt it will remove the clustered look. The colors are okay, but maybe you could try a different type of braiding? Though I'm not sure which one you could use. Maybe experiment a bit with some sleeving?
Thanks man, the braiding is a bold thing to do, especially if I'm fishing "fans" or so to speak. I'm more into giving this an original style, blending in some different stuff to make this more than a PC. The braiding stays, in one way or another.
I'm inlove with the 8pin and the two 6pin's, they're perfect in my eyes. Tho the 24pin atx cord is just . A different type of braiding would probably make it alot cleaner and by that change the clustered feeling into a more, stylish, clean, thoughtful cablemanagement.
I'm not talented in braiding what's so ever and therefor the atx24pin suffered. I'll learn (youtube here I come) and then I'll do something spectacular with it. I'm thinking weave. :-P

I don't think the cables will be as easy to work with as hair, but I await the results.
Great looking build. I wasn't quite sure about braiding the cables but have to admit that it does look good in the pics from your last post. It's nice to see someone trying something a wee bit different. Look forward to seeing more mate.
Some updates for you all! I've powder-coated it white and I really like the finish it gave it. This will also change the appearance of the build in all aspects, don't you think?

I'm sorry that I've not been around, but things have gone slow and I just powdercoated this thing last night. Anyways, I hope you like it!
Slow and steady wins the race! And that sweet paint job wins in my book.
Nice work :)
The probleme with those Enermax Fan when you invert the center part, the holes for the LED don't line up anymore and the effect is not as nice (I inverted 3 in my build)
Thanks for the update :)
Your're welcome. :)
