Yeah, MSI 790FX-GD70, HD4850, 1 HDD, 1 DVD, 5 case fans powered with Corsair 650W.
I did stressing in LinX.

Cool, I just ordered a corsair 650tx to replace my enermax 400w. I'm looking to go to a 4870 and I wanted to make sure I'd have enough power overclocking.
Very good results Smartidiot89!
I like how Regor scaled on the same voltage with clocks! Power consumption barely changed
It's a shame I can't get this CPU now :( I have speeding fine to pay  (there goes my Regor - £60.00)
temps in the low to mid 30's but this is what i have come up with so far. I have not had the chip but a couple of days but ill see if i can get a bit higher when i have time :D

With that PSU you can run a Quad-Core overclocked together with a Crossfire setup!
Thanks alot mate that's my first attempt of making a "professional" review on par with most other HW-sites. We are getting a Portal on the forum soon so it will be alot more organized.
OT: The clocking surprised me too, both CPU's barely changed in fulload even if it was quite a decent clock. My best guess as far as Phenom II x2 550BE flying through the roof is cause it's a cut down Deneb.
Regor is a really nice chip which in my opinion is the best dual-core CPU in terms of price/performance/watt  And i love the fact that it stayed uber cool all the time no matter what kind of torture I gave it. Even with 1.55v my CPU cooler was still cold :P With my Quad-Core I could feel how the cooler had heated up abit even with stocksettings, and overclocked with 1.5v my case feelt abit warmish:D
Hello there
Reseller in Hong Kong just got Athlon II x2 in stock today
I got myself one piece (HKD$ 690 , $1 USD = $ 7.8HKD F.Y.I. ) and give it a little try
My friend plugged it in with a Biostar 780G mATX board and runs 3.73GHz @ 1.456V
This CPU runs cool too , I think it's ideal CPU to replaced my Athlon64x2 5050e in my ITX HTPC

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=227510
i bet i can get higher but that was on an old Crosshair II (my M4A78T-E bit the dust) and i was running low on DICE
Dunno why
Only Vcore 1.5V allowed with my ASUS M3A79-T DELUXE after I plugged in this CPU
I can set higher Vcore with my 955BE ....weird
This CPU is cool !!!
Undervolt it to 0.88V with Biostar 780G mATX board
with following hardware
Athlon II x2 250 @ 1.6GHz , NB 1.6GHz , Vcore 0.9V ( it shows 0.88V in CPU-Z) with Stock CPU Fan
1GB x2 Transcend DDR2-800
Seagate 160GB 7200.10
Pioneer DVD-116 SATA DVD Writer
with SPI 270W mATX PSU (Not 80PLUS , just a old PSU I got for my last HTPC)
CPU Temp almost the same as room temp , ideal chip
Idle only use 42W ~~ !
Nice chip you got there AMD:up::up:
Here is my Athlon II x2 250 with Jetway HA08
*** Notice ***
Just ignore the Vcore , Detect Error
I only use 1.45V to reach this
I just tested it more with a 780G board last weekend
Put this Athlon II x2 250 clocked at 800MHz @ 0.9V with NB 800MHz
with the system playing some recorded HDTV program (DXVA VMR9 Renderless with KMPlayer)
The whole platform only consume < 65W power
Nicely done AMD
I've a question:
Brisbane vs Regor
How does that play out? I have an HTPC with a brisbane running 2.8ghz and have a 240 Regor that I'm wondering of replacing it with (wondering if it's worth it or not b/c my power consumption is roughly 56W idle with the brisbane).
