Looks like a chip over 4Ghz for 24/7 use may be possible. Can't wait to get one and put it under H20!

Thanks for all the tests. I am glad to see such a strong CPU from AMD.
Awesome work, chew*, nice to see that thing blazing fast
i don't think my asus board has multiplier up to 22. i only see 20 as the highest multi in the bios. that's an incredible oc there chew. any recommendation on a good heatsink for air cooling for my 940? i'm using an ultra-120 right now.
Is that the TRUE? If so grab a few panaflos or deltas get yourself a fan controller and push pull it. I still say its the best heatsink to date when you do the following, Lap cpu, Lap TRUE, Washer mod, push/pull with 1600rpm fans.
K10stat is your friend for multipliers.
Congratz Chew* on 4.41GHz+ AIR validation!!
You've beat me by 12MHz, but I was on True and 1.638V!
4.5GHz was only working for couple of seconds before restart :)
Your chip and True should do it easily
DI results with this particular chip can be found here, no need for duplicate posts.

Well I will find a way to thank you somehow. I have a spare PSU, few mobos just need to grab a cheap HD, maybe i'll put on of these bad boys to work for ya for a while Oced of course ;)
reading this thread reminded me on some poisonous threads and post on this form year ago when many people were counting the days left for AMD... there was so many "predictions" about eminent doom of this American company, and noone in their wild dreams couldn't imagine that they're capable of such a technological break trough!
This gem that chew* has is a testament to all those bright brains in AMD that are giving their best pushing the progress forward.
also kudos to you guys for bringing the proof of their work to us!!
Great results, really good to see AMD being really competitive again, would be nice to build an AMD system.....
If these chips are coming out soon, then the build im hoping to do over the next couple of weeks looks like it could be AMD, :D
That is awesome. I'm always impressed with the amount of work/dedication you put into this stuff Chew.
I wonder how the 45nm process is going to be doing once RD890 hits cause that's going to be when I upgrade next. :D
Np I enjoy playing with hardware and sharing info/results.
My ddr III has arrived, hopefully I can get my hands on a ddrIII board soon.
ASUS M4A79-T deluxe :), ideal or DDR3 ;)
