SOF:what is your best OC Air on Phenom II? Is possible, on ASUS M3A-T Deluxe about 4200-4300MHz?
I am getting crazy about the validation issue again ^^ tried to do a save 4.8 but still rejected...
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=465574 I think I give up with CPUz and do some wprime under vista now ;)
air stable was ~3.6-3.8 not tested too much. but I just made some really good experiences with wprime  no Q6600 in hwbot can beat Phenom II...5ghz+ 9650 is needed to beat 4580 deneb :D

Whatd you ahve your northbride speed at for those runs SoF ~2300mhz like before?
I'm quickly learning to love you and iocedmyself for all these tid bits
lol cpuz reports 2 diff vcores
Really ???? The q9650 needs +5 to beat the phenom II at 4.5 ???? damnnnn !!!! >.< I can only imagine whats going to happen when the new boards for the phenom II comes out ... gazm !!!!
nb is 2585 mhz during this run - oh dear this mistake happened to me twice now with 2 cpuz and the same tab :wall: need to take myself some more time for the tests :p
SoF, when you will can show us results ?
20.12 / 08.01 ?
interesting things you show and tell us :D
I def. hope that 20th NDA date was right, saw 4.2 claimed with an asus m3a32-T? on air combine that with 2.3ghz+ nb and nehalem will be in for big trouble.
Since you told the max freq you reach stable on air, can you tell us also the max on water? Maybe with the required vcore :D.
Thak you so much for your work!

Thank you for the up-date on the bios .
im curious how high you can go on stock voltages to get to Windows desktop? 3.4-3.5ghz?? its usually safe to say 400-500mhz on stock voltages then from there you start raising voltages as you raise clocks...
If you look back,AMD's chip only clock better with time ,not worse. This is a general rule that also applies to intel.
AMD uses CTI(continuous transistor improvement) program and it worked great in the past.Look how well RevF clocked over time, then the B3 fixed stepping that now can reach even 3.4/3.5Ghz on QC/Tri/Duals etc.
If AMD continues with its CTI program,C3(AM3 Denebs) will be even better in OC/thermal regard. The sort of confirmation for this is the 95W max TDP rating of the 925(2.8Ghz) version of Phenom II.The 920,an AM2+ version,is rated 125W @ 2.8Ghz.
Sorry, I never use watercooling ;) air and dice most of the time.
I think I did wprime1024m at 3.3 with 1.32V (undervolted) - 3.4 - 3.5 seems reasonable.
:D on vista intel and amd 45nm quads are close together with slight advantage for amd in performance per clock I would say. was real good to see yesterday and tomorrow I maybe have the possibility to test with a cascade :)
Ok it's the 20. of dec. So SOF MOVE ALL THAT BLACK S*** SO WE CAN SEE RESULTS :up::D:D:yepp::yepp::cool::cool::rolleyes:
Well, that's probably not as necessary, since he already said this:
Still I wouldn't mind seeing the actual numbers.Quote:

I have to correct my little bit too enthusiastic "5ghz+ 9650 is needed to beat 4580 deneb " - while I was comparing some days ago I did not notice all the XP scores on hwbot. With both, deneb and QX9650 under vista the advantage of the deneb will not be that huge anymore but still there is some for AMD in wprime I would say. I just returned back from my first little ln2 experience and gonna write a bit about it within the next hour...
