However the need for a backplate in larger 1366 socket is indeed greater and yours will surely lead the way for other wb manufacturers as well.

It seems to me that the type 1 backplates all have the screws going in to the plate rather than bolts coming out. The Swiftech bracket I am not sure on.
If anyone has advice on what to use for a 1366 backplate with an EK Supreme, I would appreciate it.

I used the TRUE backplate and drilled out the screw posts.

I don't know if the thread sizes will work, but I really like the GTZ the best out of all the ones I've seen. Every other backplate I've seen has the issue of going on top of the back of the CPU socket. There are SMT components in there that need to disipate heat, but with some of these backplates heat is trapped in there. The GTZ is the only one I've seen that properly supports the board without interferring with the back of the socket on the i7's.
It's also possible to modify the GTZ backplate by drilling, drilling and retapping, drilling and using pem nuts, or rivetnuts. There is lots of possibilities there. :)
Yes that one works out great. Just drill the holes and your good to go. I am using it on my supreme and it worked out great. Also you might want to clip your standoffs in the back, at least on the p6t...
