Talking about the current seperation between Church and State doesn't mean the origin has changed does it?

If you get a tremendous inflow off people from a diffrent religion, history will show you laws did change.

The thing is now, the religious values differ so much from eachother there is almost no way to get a middle ground. What that article described, islamic based mediation courts without real justicial power, is already in place and I think for a good reason. In their religion, thing which we accept as perfectly normal can be blasphemy.

This whole talk about, they came here, they have to adapt to us 100% and we don't have to change a bit saddens me because things don't work that way. You only create more fear and hate by not recognizing history and human nature.

About keeping the West uhm ' Western '..

What aspects of western society are you trying to preserve? Because the argument is also used by neo nationalists who blame off of societies problems on immigrants ( they take all the jobs is a good example ).

Allot off aspects from our so called Western society already originated on other continents, think about what food is actually native to your country?

Once you can understand that through the simple food example, it's not a big leap to the fact that in all societies there are good and bad sides. Maybe we shouldn't be trying to keep it 'Western' but maybe we should try and take all our good sides and who knows maybe even some off theirs and loose all our bad sides? Like prejudice for example.

Logos my comments might seem personal towards you, their not but you brought this up so I got to adress you. But this isn't something I can blame you or any single person on their own for that matter. It's just how people work, our history shows it and if you're honest, that faint voice you hear in your head also knows it.

Human nature, and with that I mean we're just a part of nature in all it's aspects and we represent all those aspects at the same time.

I think you got it wrong again, since they consider the cow holy, even the cow's ficies and urine is considerd holy. But I can't find any reference myself about them drinking it? I'm hoping you're not posting crap again, as that would really destroy your creditability.

Andrew Zimmermann "Bizarre Foods" had a urine food one time.. but I think it was eggs in horse urine, and it was in India I believe...
Only reason I remembered it was because my International Marketing Prof in college loved to freak the class out with bizarre food stories, and that was one of his too, along with those duck eggs that are like a 21 day old chick inside, but that was from Vietnam.... actually both stories were pretty gross...

I have no idea if the horse urine/egg bizarre food thing had anything to do with Hindu though... just India...
