Tbh the heat conductivity of water is terrible at best. Better than air though, but FAR from any metal.

from what i found, the "liquid" is Galinstan which is an alloy of gallium, indium, and tin.

so the conductivity is 16.5 Wmk for Galinstan and Water is 0.691

Quite a bit, depending on the turbulence of the liquid. If the conductivity is zeroish, then extreme turbulence is needed for the same results for liquid with good(+100 WmK) conductivity. Though, this issue is minimal ad unnoticeable but under special circumstances it could become an issue. Then again, thats far from average computer water cooling system. :D

I remember lurking on this when it got blasted on Engadget forever and a day ago - if I had price and performance number I am open to looking more at this but I'm not too optimistic on it performing much better than higher end heatpipe coolers
It looks like it's got 5 8mm heatpipes, if that's so and it's got good liquid flowing well around the heatsink, it may work well.
Problem I see with it is how will it be cooled, even water needs a fan and it doesn't look like a fan would would hit but 1 heatpipe.
