Which is one reason why I don't like NVIDIA.

I will buy their products, I don't really care, because I want the best performance for my money, but that doesn't mean I agree with NVIDIA's business practices (mainly the "The Way It's Meant To Be Played" program :down:)

I've just read toms review and i must admit that this card is fenomenal. For $450 you get 8800ultra. All test are done with beta drivers so i hope that there will be performance increase when real drivers are out.
I beleive that with X38 board this is the way to go. From my 8800gts 320mb, this would be excellent update.
Which manufacturer is on the top with ati? For nvidia it is xfx and evga, but which one for ati? Sapphire?

There is no much point in reading because ultra isn't in comparison list.

Bit-Tech testbed was a Q6600 (3.0GHz), Maximus Formula however when they test for power consumption they use a E6750 (2.66GHz) Gigabyte X38-DS5

Im happy! :) My last card was a bfg gtx oc2. This card [3870 x2]is visually superior, from a first person perspective imo.

almost same thing as HD3870 >>> with HD3870 CF (777mhz/1125mhz) and Q6600 @ 3.5ghz = 18600mark (windows xp)

Well I just had a quick look in crysis to see how it looks,
forgive me guys im no demon technical genius, but I can say from a laymans point of view, this looks far better than it did with my gtx in.

I was getting low to high 14000 3d mark06 at stock speeds with the gtx btw.

I did read here that the only s/w available to clock this card at the moment is ccc. I dont even have the option to unlock the card with this driver [8.1] the whole of the overdrive options page is greyed out except for the gpu temp which is idling at 62c.
Fan speed at default;

This card is the HIS version btw,.

Do the gpu clock speed look right to you guys?

And why do you want comparison with ultra ? 8800GTS (G92) is as fast or even faster and much much cheaper ?!?

to change clocks you have to click in that Locker

Now thats a Club3D dual GPU card to be proud of :D Can't belive how long its been since the volari debacle. Also, people do want the Ultra or GTX as there are still a few games that love the wider bus in higher resolutions with Nvidia, unlike on the ATI side of things.
